  2. If you're a synthweaver or armormech, you can crit-craft Energized/Exotech gloves/boots, though there are a few caveats: - The resulting item is BoP - The Energized/Exotech schematics are BoP drops from story/HM EV/KP (and final bosses of HM FPs?) - Energized patterns will require a crystal alloy and a self-perpetuating cell per attempt. - Exotech patterns will require a data cube and an energy node per attempt. However, this is still far cheaper/more accessible than learning Campaign gloves/boots, and spending 2 synthetics and 2 stabilizers per crafting attempt. Also lets you avoid grinding to valor 60.
  3. If you're specifically talking about getting augmented gloves/boots, Campaign gear can be RE'd and then crit-crafted to make BoE gloves/boots. As well, Synthweavers/Armormechs can crit-craft Energized/Exotech gloves/boots that are BoP. If you don't care about the augment slot, there is a pretty good selection of orange boots/gloves from flashpoint drops and commendation vendors.
  4. Your tank dying is due to a debuff from one of Kephess' attacks. Kephess will leap into the air and then slam back down every so often (the red reticles). After this, he leaps to his target, does a big cleave, and then does another attack that causes the debuff (the animation is him glowing red slightly and stabbing both swords downward). Don't recall the exact name (something like Sundered Wound?), but it has an orange icon and basically makes that person take double damage. As a Jugg tank, I solo-tank Kephess until the walker is dead (other tank is busy pulling/tanking the bomber). Try to kite him as best you can, and use cooldowns as necessary. Once the walker is dead, I hold ground and tank swap based on who gets the debuff.
  5. This is because Firebrand is being DPS'd down faster than Stormcaller. Before the shield phase, Stormcaller may cast Double Destruction. If Fire hits his life threshold first, the shield phase will start while Storm is doing DD. This causes the first lightning pillar to fall on your tank while he's standing on Storm. This also delays the shield on Storm's side, which can be a problem in HM. We fixed / worked around this issue by making sure Storm was ~5% ahead at the start. Basically, you always want Storm's life to be the trigger for the shield phase.
  6. Tested this with a guildmate. He got a "No research available" message when hovering to RE a Campaign piece I crafted. So yeah, no viral schematic learning.
  7. 1) First try. I got lucky, my Assassin friend got less lucky on his 1 attempt. 2) Campaign Gloves drop off 3rd boss in HM EC 3) RE'd a shell with a low-level armoring added (as you can't RE without an armoring) 3a) Original armoring/mod/enh were thrown into an orange glove-piece that I was wearing until my crafted piece finished (yay for crit on 1st craft).
  8. Posted in another thread about this. Campaign gear can be RE'd to learn a "shell" schematic. This includes gloves/boots, which can then be crit-crafted to create BoE items with no valor requirement. Screenshot for proof. Though the price to craft, and the small chance for crit makes it _very_ expensive.
  9. For Armormech/Synthweaving, you learn an empty shell, though it's purple instead of orange. Screenshot. Shows: 1) the prohibitively-expensive cost to craft 2) that the resulting item is BoE 3) that the resulting item can be crit-crafted for an augment slot
  10. I recently finished my collection of Imperial-side orange Armormech schematics. Gallery here. Jadarra, if you're planning to update this thread with Armormech oranges (or start a new thread for it), please feel free to use any of the images. : )
  11. Recently finished my Imperial-side synthweaving collection. Therefore, I have updates for page 1: Heavy 47, Reinforced Diatium Set Light 39, Traditional Demicot Set (shows hood when helm is hidden) Light 27, Channeler's Headgear Medium 31, Ablative Plasteel Set Medium 15, Warrior's Set
  12. Finished two sets that 1st post is missing pics for: Light 19, Sorcerer's Set Medium 27, Sith Combatant Set
  13. Re-created my gallery. New screenshots (discovered companions show higher res textures in preview window). Also removed gloves/boots/etc, for clarity. Link here. Below are definite updates for the main post, all Imperial-side versions: Heavy 39, Reinforced Phobium Set Heavy 27, Warrior's Pulsing Set Light 47, Traditional Brocart Set (Note hood when helm is removed/hidden) Light 31, Traditional Thermoweave Set Light 23, Traditional Nylite Set (Note hood when helm is removed/hidden) Light 15, Inquisitor's Vestments Medium 47, Ablative Resinite Set Medium 19, Marauder's Set Edit: I'm also using Primeval Paragon's Body Armor w/ Rakata mods. Unfortunately, the only orange schematics I've found with hoods are Light armor. Hopefully 1.2 adds some hooded options for Med/Heavy.
