  1. Agreed. Calling it "new" was maybe a bit off so I changed the title. Just hoping the devs will take notice of my (our) posts and screenshots here. We've provided them with a lot of info already. Letting them know both the no leggings and with leggings miniskirt currently got issues. Especially the no leggings version. My own screenies speaks for themselves. EDIT: Sadly the Regal miniskirt is not the only one who got missing parts. I just check the other skirt from "The Last Handmaiden's Leggings". https://i.imgur.com/mBHtWyn.jpg Bit harder to see as I am using black dye and it has leggings but you can see what I meant and I am almost certain this was not the case before 7.3.1 patch. Becuase I have been using that skirt more then the Regal one. Prefer the look/border more etc. Pray we get a none leggins version of that too someday but currently I would pick this Regal no leggings over Handmaiden's. After they have fixed it.
  2. Thanks for also helping out with the issue on this new version of Regal miniskirt 👍
  3. Hello there. Let me first say thanks for keeping your promise on adding this miniskirt version for 7.3.1 🙂 But when I tried it on my Sorc I noticed some major issues with it. I'm sharing a picture to make things easier but in short, the new miniskirt is broken in multiple places. When you have your weapon drawn in your idle stance and when you start running it's even worse. Please acknowledge this and when possible, adress the issue. Don't get me wrong. I've been waiting a long time to get this version so all and all I'm greatful. Just have this looked into please. https://i.imgur.com/cx0Kdqv.jpg As you can see I used the Character tab when taking my pictures as it showed better compared to taking them as I was standing or running around in my location. Thanks in advance and for reading this! EDIT 1: Noticed another issue with this miniskirt in the loading screen as well (on my Sin). Parts of the skirt is missing. https://i.imgur.com/yaS5Ck8.png I might also add that I tried using only the skirt on and removed all my other armor parts. Same issue. So the error does not only happen with a certain type of armor you use. EDIT 2: Must sadly also report that the regular Regal miniskirt with the leggings has missing/broken parts as well now. https://i.imgur.com/9pPfMwP.png
  4. Hey Broadsword and welcome to Swtor! I am just here to check up on your promise what EricMusco said with some sort of confirmation that the skirt from Regal set will be release with a legless version in 7.3.1? Here is a link to help you out better on this matter (Eric's own words). https://forums.swtor.com/topic/926404-regal-apparel-mini-skirt-now-shows-leggins-ingame/?do=findComment&comment=9768682 On a personal note: Would love to also see a legless skirt version from "The Last Handmaiden's" set as well because that skirt is better looking in my honest opinion. Thanks in advance and looking forward what the next patch and season will bring and to see what you can do for the game! Best of regards.
  5. Cheers Eric for letting us know! 👍 Is there also any chance you will (or could) do the same leggless for the skirt from "Force Disciple's" armor set as well? They are the same model as "The Last Handmainden's Armor Set" or are they intended to be with leggings? Imho these skirts looks better then the Regal one (as that has a square-ish model right in the center of...yeah there). Tyvm in advance!
  6. Pretty much my point and when mentioning you in my book above. I know you take some heat just because you play something that happens to be broken now. Yet somehow most people forget the fact that you been pounded into the ground time and time again for a long time due to (cough) well "balancing" issues. God forbid stay and play with something you really like, right?
  7. Short answer: No, not really. Without being too disrespectful, knowing the devs get their fair share of blame and heat (some legit, some unnecessarily). Kinda what Trixxie said, you can make a game without being a real gamer. What do I mean by that? Well someone who takes his/her good time learning alot about the game. Classes, specs, rotations, positioning, adapt to the situation, map awareness, team coordination, gearing up on and on. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TLDR answer: One of my main reasons for saying no is when I saw someone of them playing Merc during a live stream and it did not take long before his "beloved champ" was buffed beyond reason. Playing a class yourself will always give you more insight and knowledge than read countless of forum posts about why X class with Y spec are too strong/bad/broken etc. There are some good guides out there but just by simply mimicking others doesn't automaticly mean you understand what you're doing . I've been playing Merc as main since 3.0 era when they were considered "free kill" but since I love the class and gameplay so much I stuck through it and learned the best I could about them. Took a break, came back to 5.0 only to find them godmode facetanking 3-4 ppl, like what the h...? Obviously I won't tell the name here out of respect but those who also saw that clip or know about it, know the name anyway. I recently got back from another break, stopped at Ossus before and been dusting off some classes for fun/test out. Quick example are people like Snave and alike, who also played their One biased class a long time regardless if good/bad. Now with Conceal Ops being quite strong he gets bs like "lol you play ezmode class" etc. This is why I always say play what you enjoy the most then hunt for fotm 24/7. Comes a patch and it can be totually reversed! Longer time with X class with Y spec you love = better gear = more skilled with it = less chance of reroll. In other words common sence. But the online gaming meta for years is: check webpage, ask for what is best. (Sure if we're only talking Team Ranked and super competetive (without wintrading!) there are meta setups but that is just how the game has always been. In one patch X class is broken, then comes a patch and it changes, ish.)
  8. I would welcome this any day of the year. Give people a reason to do lowbie pvp again because many just rush to 75 now and then start doing PvP. What do you get for doing lowbies atm (except for the fun part ofc)? Just some valor ranks/XP. The winning side should get a little bit more tech frags so folks will atleast try to contribute and win games rather then just give up the milisec you start losing a match or afk in Warzones as one example. Say like 1-2 for losing, 3-4 for winning. Personally I didn't mind you get XP for doing pvp (with all the extra boosts/legacy etc) but one issue I had with giving more pve minded people free XP for just afk or not doing anything in pvp always felt off. I mean you don't see me who love PvP more (I do enjoy some PvE every know and then too with guild) tell someone in Operations or Flashpoints: "you know guys, I'm just gonna lol around jumping here and hit every mob I see. I probably will wipe the group, but who cares right, it's only pve and I do this only for fun anyway". Know it's a bad example but the same princip. Too many times have I heared people say "It's just pvp idc". I'm sure they would be thrilled if I did the same service back to them with my example I just said. And no this has nothing to do with "you're just an elitist pvp freak". I don't mind losing. If the other team is generally better or got a better tactic/coordination w/e, that's one thing, but losing only due to 100% stupidity is not. I'm getting off track here. All I'm saying, giving something for doing lower level pvp again is something I would sign in an instant. Promotes more fun leveling up alts too. So a +1 to you Trixxie
  9. So we get a 25% dmg/burst increase, cool I guess but so does mara and they still have their anti "leave me alone" button. Was hoping jugg would get something that don't make them the nr1 wrecked train in every SR game with the hordes of stealthers in there. Maybe adding more secs to saber reflect (the extra from talents is not enough as Anti) or something like that. Because mara just got another burst/dmg increase AND having their sick DR, force camo and what not. Ohh well. Another buff to ED was welcomed but you will still be tunneled hard and killed before you can get that 2nd ED in SR. Guess my dps jugg will just stay in regs unless I find myself a pocket healer. And to those who will simply just answer this with "juggs are fine in SR l2p" just don't. I've played my jugg way long enough to know, seen and experienced what happens to us. Did I win a couple of matches regardless if Veng or Rage spec? Sure but the majority of my games and what many others have said, not just KendraP who is one of the biggest guardian biased on the forums is enough proof =)
  10. This had me thinking. Since we do use Scattershot and especially Follow Through often in MM spec rotation I'm not sure adding some aoe splash dmg to it is good. Becasue let's say you are playing Arena or even regs, someone is using a well timed CC like flashbang or anything that lasts longer then the regular 4sec hardstun, you still want to shoot the guy next to him who is not CC'ed, maybe a healer. This splash thing, won't it mess up the CC for PvP atleast? For more aoe cleave I guess or MM rotation will be changed. Yes I know you can't have a 100% rotation in PvP but you get what I mean. As for the PW discussion for Snipers, even tho mine would be happy, looking at the bigger picture and better for the game and all the rest, no just no! Give them a 2nd roll or something then in set bonus or this new tactical stuff but PW for this class is close to game breaking. Just saying. So I fully agree it should not be given to snipers regardless of spec.
  11. @KendraP I've been reading most of the comments here, yours specificly as I've been away a while from the game and I want to dust off my jugg. Just so if I have understood you correctly but feel free to correct anything here: Before I say more this question is focused on PvP. Here goes: DPS I go with regular setup like around 1800 crit, 703 ala and rest mastery and dps offhand generator (Focus) Standard versatile armorings, unlettered mods and enchancements as you need to get your targeted numbers Same goes with augments to fill your needs SKANK Here I go with Endurance armorings (resistive?), B lettered mods (endurance), crit/ala enhancements Offhand should be a "shield" for the extra % def and ala/crit augs (or some mastery left overs) So basicly asking your knowledge in this. Btw I am also the same when it comes to the rotations, utilities and all that. I prefer learn it myself and get some muscle memory then go mimicing all the info on some guide/video Or is it perhaps just better overall just to stick with the DPS setup nowdays, depending if you have a (pocket) healer backing you up? Maybe PT is in a good spot now as skanks? But I know you're very biased to Guardian so I guess I know the answer to that already. Thanks in advance. Edit: Grammar and typos.
  12. Good evening folks of the Swtor community. TL-DR I know and apologies for the post became much longer then I first wanted. Thx to everyone who read it all! Part 1/2 Been away from the game about 1 year, ish and when I go to these forums and notice a BW post about my long played and beloved Lightning sorc I wanted to give my honest PoV. Btw this thread is for L-ing/Tele specs. I see some typing about Madness when they put out one specificly for that as well. Before I dive deeper on my thoughts, I want to firstly share my thread from 04 29 2018: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=948394 (Possible Ling/Tele buff) Most people in my thread back then agreed with me. Another good info of what they have said over a year ago! So about time they do something about this issue. (Live stream with Vulkk). "@ 3:06 they finally acknowledged the dps issue with tk/litghnintg sage/sorc. Fingers crossed. Might even dust off my account and play my beloved caster once more. Who knows, 6.0 expanion might be a hit as well. Just hope they don't buff em too much or we will have another 150 forum posts about "nerf sage/sorc! they have been OP once and for a good while already" and such. But glad they might seen the reality where mercs instant casting 30K crits, snipers 30k crits (uninteruptible) while sorcs need to cast their 18k-24k crits which is easy to interrupt and then there's the cooldown timer difference on these hard hitters (with passives/procs)" ======================================================================================== Part 2/2 Someone said: "Something that makes CL always have zero-cast time" this has some potential. Not needing to cast your TB/FS or such for instant CL but just zero timer with the same damage I'm not sure it will be enough as a "buff". Quick thoughts about BW's own post: 1. Chain Lightning now does all of its total damage to only one target, and no longer jumps. --> It's called Chained Lightning for a reason. 2. Chain Lightning now jumps even more and does additional damage to secondary targets. --> Always something, keep the AoE in the ability and a little bit more burst vs more targets. People talk about Force lightning in this Lightning thread, you should not even used it in your rotation, for Madness yes, it's even mandatory for your Demo dot. But sure I'm open to any proper buffs we might get. I see people talking about being squishy, even with all those DR that sorcs has (with talents) If we get some Real burst to back it up being that squishy then that's something atleast! As a spellcaster in most MMOs has usually been a glass cannon. So I'm fine with that but most of us know who has been playing sorcs a long while is that we are glass but got no cannon Because we've been nerfed time and time again. Did hear as I just recently got back that Madness got a little buff, 30% extra dmg on "Force Leech". But this is about Ling sorcs. Honestly I don't know which talents, abilities or new set price bonus with this new tactical thing would be best but one thing is sure, we need dps buff not def buff as a primary goal I mean you could give me merc survival but as a cloth armor sorc I wanna have some burst, especially since that is what the spec is all about. Madness with its recent buff feels more bursty from when I compared the two for a couple of days as I returned to the game. Key abilities from Ling spec that should hurt more would be TB or CL. Because I don't want to see out Lighting Bolt or any dot do more dmg then those two abilities, especially since this is a burst spec. I know I know, BW must be careful with these things because they might mess things up with the PvE and don't get me wrong here, again as said earlier on this post that I don't want Ling to become super strong or we will have another 200 threds about nerfing us. Just like what happened with the old Madness sorcs but imho we have waited years for this spec to accually be atleast a Glass Cannon, and not just Glass part. Remember this was MY opinion, ment no offence or step on folks toes. Thank you for reading my essay!
  13. I told someone else about what I am about to say now to you, my information/rumor did not come from any forum post, but from some people playing on the PTS who claimed to have spoken to someone close to the dev team. Just I can't remember the name who that was but at of this stage it is irrelevant. But I will stand on my words and close both my ears and eyes in the future about any class changes before they are officially live with patch notes or some kind or dokument. Like what Trixxie said, one could kinda hope and/or believe some class changes were coming (to dps sorcs) given all the things going around and what has been said in this topic already. Thanks for the reply and continue to keep it under constructive critisism manner.
  14. And so...no class changes. As promised I will never again speak as much as a letter regarding any rumored upcoming nerf/buff changes to any class or spec until they are live. After been waiting over 2 years now for some dps buff to lightning sorcs, which Eric and SWTOR Creative Director Charles Boyd even said they are lacking behind ( around 3rd minute) and all the hints from PTS, ohh well. Time to put my dps sorc on the shelf. Casted TB 18-22k crits is comparable with instant/uninterruptable 30-35k crits, right. I hope others got some good news for this patch except the parts we already new like Rishi SH, WZ changes and on.
  15. I always use CD in my rotation and always after my lightning flash (before using my TB combo), as both have the same cooldown timer and yes CD makes a target to take more force dmg due to it's debuff (5% more dmg taken). By hardcasting I ment use it without a lightning flash, as it loweres the cast time by 0.5sec. Maybe I am too tired at this moment or I don't honestly understand your point here. Did I say not to use CD in your rotation, all I said was not to hardcast it. In some situations perhaps you use L-flash but get jumped instantly after so you are in melee range and don't use your CD right away but you should have time to use it before the proc expires, using your kiting, LoS, CC and so on. Meaning the timers on both will be a little off-synq but always try pull it off as often as you can. Same as snipers do with their toxic dart thing, to increase a dmg buff to your target. So granted, you will sometimes have to use it unproced but you always try use it with the proc. If you have L-flash ready but decide to use CD without it, and your target is fightning someone else, that's what I ment.
  16. Then I hate to burst your bubble and saying it's not true, there are a few more of us (<--) :-D Jokes aside, indeed and it's so easy to tell a good/descent L-sorc compared to the less experienced ones. You'd be surpriced how many times I see folks playing my spec in MM fps and WZ's spamming that fluff on 1-2 mobs/players, even on bosses, trying to force push (Overload) on them too, list goes long. How to check a player in Lightning spec being "one of those" players: # Use force lightning as L-spec # Use force storm fluff (regardless with uti or not) on 1-2 mobs/players # Only spamming lightning bolt # Hardcasting crushing darkess (or use shock without CD on them) # Spam TB's without affliction dot ... ok I stop there. On a side note here, knowing this is in PvP section but if you are quick enough at the start of some engagement, without being first in line and people box up, you can hardcast CL, then TB, followed by another instant CL. This works best in pve tho ofc, but just thought I should mention it as see very few even realize this. Most use that force storm for 0.5sec for instant CL and that's fine, but there are ways to do even more aoe, but with a risk. If not, use the standard rotation ^^ Have a good one Trixxie.
  17. My information did not come from some forum thread. I already told Trixxie about this so I won't be harsh and say it again. Well let's simply see who was right. Don't get me wrong, I'm holding my fingers crossed too and if the information given to me was fake I will promise to never speak a word about any upcoming changes that has not been officially announced in notes or documents. Even if people in your own guild claim to have spoken to X person from the team (or close by).
  18. Thanks for replying. I was expexting something like this and can say that, yes there is no patch notes or documentation about the status of sorcs. My information came mainly from a guildie who talked to someone called "Avvira"...something (someone close to the team). Once people start to come online I can try get to my buddy in the guild to give you the correct name if you want. I even asked him if he could confirm from his part with the info given from that person I can't name correctly atm, and the answer was yes. But just to be on the safe side, there is no official documentry as they simply did not put it out yet. Again, I'll come back once I know more.
  19. Hey and welcome back to the game! Just a quick fyi reply here. BW is buffing lightning sorcs dps in 5.9.2 finally. Been waiting 2 years for this. I might be misstaken here but according to the people I've been talking too, who also played on the pts confirmed after talking to some of the team that we get 15% bonus crit buff. Could be more/other things too so take my words on the specifics with some grain of salt. Will it be the proper burst or atleast descent one? We'll see. As for the patch itself: "SWTOR UPDATE 5.9.2 RELEASE DATE DELAYED WITH ONE WEEK": Vulkk. It will come in about, give or take, 2 weeks from now.
  20. Word. Coming from someone who has been playing lightning sorc for a good while and still learning, adapting, know how to positioning myslef and so forth. Never liked the dot-dot-run-dot-dot-kite-dot-dot-los was fun. Is it effective? Yes. Does it bring that epeen dps on the scoreboared post games? Yes but I am obj minded player so idc much for numbers alone. With all that sad and I mean no disrespect to my fellow madness sorc friends but for ME anyway, that gameplay is boring af, and we all know the most important thing when playing is to have fun, in order to invest time and effort in something =) I guess he thinks a quick force storm with instant CL (or hard cast CL -> TB/FS - > instant CL) is pressure when it's burst. Dot's are aoe-cleave or w/e how you would call it. Lightning has one dot (don't count CD), rest is non dot dmg. Can you get some nice aoe off with the spec, sure but again I'm you Trixxie on this all the way. Atleast how the specs are supposed to be anyway. Madness: dot/aoe pressure vs Lightning: burst.
  21. Glad to hear that. I never was much for playing X class with Y spec becuase it is meta, having to play another toon as soon the nerfhammer swings. It's not that much fun grinding for another rank 300 with 248 gear. It wasn't because sorcs were op or not before that I left the game, I had my other reasons. Cheers. Hope to get some deeper info regarding sorcs during the PTS as I can't play it. Will give it another go later today.
  22. First off, I do thank you for replying. Tho I am afraid this was not the answer to my question regardning sorcs during the PTS and the upcoming changes. People assume most are first timers, but long story short I've played this on and off with breaks, like many others here. No need to give me the rundown sorcs were OP, why they got nerfed, merc godmode dcds on and on. I used to main merc around 3.0 even when they were considered "free kill". I know all about the fotm/meta, merc instant 30k ppl, snipers the same 30k which can't be interrupted. How mercs trauma shield and boltstorm was nerfed a little, snipers self heal on that safeguard etc. Maybe I need to put in my forum signature that I am a 40yo man with 7 mmo's under his belt and played this quite long so replies like this won't happen every 2nd time I type something. Btw no I don't consider myself to be some elitist snob, I prefer having both my feet on the ground =) Made my own post about sorcs before my holiday in late april, where I included a livestream video: (Live stream with Vulkk) 3mins in the vid, where they admit sorcs not going enough dmg, especially compared to mercs and it's not lost on their sight. No offence ment.
  23. Those of you who have or are playing on the PTS, any confirmation this so called "15% buff" will cut it or is it the same old 15-18k fluff on TB? Did hear some specific abilities got 5% dmg increase. I want to test it msyelf but for some reason as I got back from my holiday, my internet been having issues, which I seldom have with my 100/100mb broadband fiber. Tried to download the pts but very slow and even stops sometimes (guess that's due to my current internet issue). Because all I've heared thus far are just rumours. Where one side saying it won't change much or as much as people think vs the other side saying it will be the new burst spec, even the anti-tank melting spec, due to force dmg. Again, I would much like to test it myself but since I'm having problems I'll ask the community of the current status on sorcs in upcoming 5.9.2 patch, knowing it might change before it goes live. Thanks in advance and have a good one folks! EDIT: 1+. Yeah I've been saying that for some time now. One can only hope the devs (or atleast Eric) plays sorc in pvp (like they did with merc before realizing it was terrible, dcd wise) and test for themselves, not just checking some datamining on some target dummy or this "pve dps taget" thing. Idc when people saying "I did all Nim content cause I am the 1% of the sorc playerbase who can play the lightning spec". This is pvp where you can't stand in one place and mash buttons for perfect rotations all the time, tanks taunt for you, list can be long. With the exception of the (few) times you need to move 10 feet due to some aoe on the floor or boss mechanic.
