  1. Not enough information, but as of now i will quit. I was going to cancel my sub as is, but having been billed for the month i let it roll to see if more information is released. Not looking good though. Guild Wars 2 is rapidly approaching, and if i can get everything im enjoying here with that free to play model, then i would have no reason to keep this one. I would most likely do as mentioned by someone else. Go to free sub and just finish the story out on my alts. Stop playing much beyond that altogether except perhaps to RP.
  2. Is not the other Darth, the player character Inquisitor? As part of the Inquisitor storyline you are heavily involved in Correllia and Thanaton.
  3. I look at my Legacy much like you do. I see it as a web of interconnected characters, all stemming from one main point. Funny enough my legacy is based around a similar idea as yours, just in reverse. Twin sith brothers in slavery, one who gets free and smuggled out of the Empire to become a Jedi Knight and the other who becomes a Sith Inquisitor. All the other characters in my legacy are related to this core event in some way. My bounty hunter works for the Inquisitor(who is a Dark Lord now), and helps provide support and services to the brother in the republic. He is essentially a middleman so the brother and republic never know where the help is coming from. To that end my Smuggler is just a disguise for my Bounty Hunter, that allows him to travel in republic space easier. Every other character i create fits in similar ways. My Agent stumbles upon the Dark Lord helping the republic and investigates further, etc, The way the actual UI is presented as well, it lends itself more to a web approach than a direct family tree setup. Besides, RP wise i can fudge some time to allow people around the same events occur despite levels, etc. But i cant fudge it so much that i could have a father, then a son(full grown no less) occur in the same legacy.
  4. There are some armors on the empire side that look like his top robes. However despite seeing numerous NPCs with the Revan like mask, that is not available anywhere that i know of. Emporer side the only name i can recall directly is the Muse Robe. The colors may be off however, i cannot remember. This model is shared among a few other versions. One of which drops in Cademimu. These are all light armor robes mind you.
  5. My Inquisitor end, is also a Jedi Consular beginning, since i plan to push his light side conversion. Stranthi Kallig'do changed when he discovered his family heritage, and pursued the secrets of the force across the known galaxy in his struggles to the top. Once he defeated Thanaton, he realized he cared little more for the sith politics and policies. He had grown from a hate filled slave, trying to survive, into a strong power of the force, having let go of his petty anger long ago. Having found a light, and kindred soul within Ashara, he continued on in his post. Trying to change the empire from within and secure a lasting peace. He found resistance within and without, and turned more and more to his love for the force, and its secrets. Spending his time on various digs and excavations. It is during this time of relative inactivity that he learns his twin brother is alive, and a powerful Jedi Knight. He watches from afar, providing support through intermediarys along the way. When his brothers actions become more blatant, and his support more overt, he comes into contact with his empire followers and his Brother. Culminating in a half hearted battle with his twin, he realizes what the force was pushing him to all along, and relents. Giving up his title and his past, Stranthi Kallig'do and his brother, have redeemed his family to the light side. He resumes his training on Tython, while trying to overcome the doubts and prejudices that being a turncoat, and a "pureblood" bring. Khem Vhal - Stranthi showed Khem that there was far more to this new world than before, and to let go of the past. While Khem was always there to grumble an annoyance, he was his most steadfast and loyal companion. He helped him cast out his former Master, ending her machinations for all time, and ensured his friends freedom once and for all. However in the end, Khem could not join him as he found redemption in the light side, at least not in service to the Jedi order. Instead he was given something no one had given him before. His own life and freedom. Stranthi released Khem from his service and wished his friend a good journey. Khem promised to discover the universe anew, and sate his hunger on any fools who dared to challenge him or the legacy of Kallig's Family. Adronikos Revel - The pirate found a companion in this unique Sith Lord. He found himself appreciating the life, and enjoyed piloting the ship around the galaxy for Stranthi and Talos to dig up something on a far off planet. With the exception of Xalek(who just gave him the creeps) he found himself oddly attached to the crew and friends around him. When Stranthi broke from the Empire, it was Revels piloting that brought him safely to the battle with his brother. Stranthi gave him the ship as a parting gift, and Revel returned to the stars. Talos Drellik - He became almost a mentor to the Sith Lord, which was a strange turn of events for the former Reclamation Service member. He was used to Sith being far and above his rank, and found it quite out of place to hold lengthy intellectual discussions with a Sith Lord who treated him as an equal and even came to him for advice. Together he and Stranthi discovered much about the Empires past, and secrets of the force. It was he who pushed the Sith Lord into a more intellectual application of the force, which led to his redemption. Talos found it hard to decide his own fate however. He was "retired" from the Reclamation service, but he could never truly see himself living within the republic itself after all these years. He chose to become a chroniciller, and he set down to record the discoverys and secrets unearthed by himself and Stranthi. He settled on a long lost planet with some of their finds, and had Revel erase all records of the hyperspace route used. He found the idea of himself becoming a secret for future generations to find, quite fitting. Ashara Zavros - She was the light, which flamed and brought Stranthi to redemption. From their first encounter to the last, she ensured he was never without kindness and pushed him to change the empire for the better. Falling in love seemed natural, and though she wished to wait for marriage until such a time as there was peace and a way to ask the Jedi Council, she never saw it. She was killed by Xalek in a final act of desperation, and through her death saved Stranthi from succumbing to the dark side, which was Xaleks intention. She forgave both him and her love in her final moments, and gave him the strength to face his brother and to join the Jedi. Xalek - He took his masters "betrayal" the hardest. He had become his apprentice and knew his power, but could not understand his fascination with the Light, and how it seemed to give him strength. Near the end, he put a desperate plan into motion, to bring his master back to the Dark Side. This was borne from fear of betrayal and abandonment, and when he slew Ashara he knew it had failed. Seeing the peace on her face, and his masters conviction, he knew he was mistaken. But he could never turn completely to the light. Realizing his masters power base would be destroyed and everyone connected to him hunt down for this betrayal, he opted to stay behind. In one last glorious tribute, he wished to give his life in battle to ensure his own masters safety, and in some small measure make amends for his actions. It is said, when agents of the empire did track him down that he slew 2 dozen sith before the imperial forces decided to take more drastic measures. His position was bombarded from orbit for a full 5 minutes before the fleet declared him dead, and left the smoking ruins he was hiding in behind. Even now, his name is whispered in fear and secret, as a vengeful ghost/shadow.
  6. I have a Q. Does the points into swift slash increase the damage of merciless slash as well or just slash? Im 46 so im finishing up my build. wondering if i should move with that, or move into the combat tree for the accuracy bonus.
  7. As a Assassin, yes, yes we laugh even harder. We may get bog camouflage, but at least we dont get confused for a runaway bride in a Jedi Marriage gone wrong. Seriously, all those white dresses and ...hats...if you call them that. Makes it look like drag queens are learning the force and taking it to the Empire.
  8. In the case of the Jedi v Sith, its also the ultimate "im right your wrong". If you take over the galaxy, you can write the rules. You can say "the Jedi were all fools, the Sith were right" and if you are the last one standing the rest of the galaxy can take it to be true. Also, was it not hinted that Palpatine knew about, or had a force vision of the Vhong invasion that would happen in the future? If he had crushed the resistance from the rebels, and established a firmer peace, he would have just used it to better prepare for the invasion coming.
  9. Im seeing nothing but this excuse so far, and its starting to weigh more in the area of compensating to me. So far the people who disliked and EXPLAINED why they disliked it have actual examples and correlation. And all the people who keep saying its awesome have is "Its awesome, they dont know what they are talking about" as a retort. I was going to "convert" my Light Side Inquisitor to a Jedi Consular for RP and to try out the story, but if it is as weak as it sounds, i may pass. Just leave him LS Inquisitor. Do the people who enjoyed it have anything to say in its defense beyond this kind of retort?
  10. I would love to redeem my Inquisitor to the light side. He was fully lightside as i leveled him, and now sits on the Dark Council soley to protect/search for more relics and history of the force. My Jedi Knight is played as his twin brother, so having him redeem the Inquisitor to a full Jedi would be nice. Then the two brothers would spend the rest of their lives seeking out lost knowledge and relics, before vanishing into the Unknown Regions My bounty hunter would spend his days on the hunt, until the war is finished and he attempts to find work in the new republic. Eventually age would catch up and he would have to settle down on Mandalore passing his knowledge down to the next generation and watching his kid grow up. I dont see him and Mako lasting as a couple, they have their fling now, when they are young, have a kid but she leaves him when its clear he cant give up the life and she cant deal with the danger anymore. Hopefully he dies an old man in one last great hunt, and gives his son something to aspire to.
  11. Then perhaps i did not clarify my post. I used Caedus as an example, but my main problem is the near retarded levels of power creep that pushed along the series. It essentially means the top 5 are without a doubt New Jedi Order(as they are the most recent written and have such random accomplishments like killing a near god of the force, etc) while everyone else trickles downward and back to older novels. This power creep has made things unbearable. Combined with Lucas and his "you cant kill Luke" setup, means such things tend to follow a trend i do not find favor with anymore. The most powerful anything is just going to be the most recently written hero of the series. Jacen was Uber, then he died, and suddenly Luke had to go kill himself a dark side god/powerhouse so now hes top dog again(and i suppose Krayt now is the strongest darkside user?).
  12. Seeing so much Caedus mention only reminds me how much i hated the terrible power creep of the later series. It was almost like they couldnt figure out a way to make him a good character, so they just started throwing powers on him to see what stuck. Walk through time, yeah sure why not. Shatterpoint? Didnt we establish that was rare and innate? Nope, screw it he can do that too. Self healing, makes himself invisible in the force, can beat up well established characters out of nowhere. Seriously, re-reading and looking over Jacens list is like reading a very bad star wars fanfic mary sue out of control. Like roleplaying with someone who keeps trying to one up everything else. "Yeah...well...he can make himself invisible in the force so they cant sense him." "ok, but when they get into a fight Mara will give him trouble since she is a trained and vicious combatant..." "Nope, i kill her. Then i beat up Master Luke for a bit...also im so dark and no one understands me" "ok...im going home" Given this power creep has only gotten worse and is not relegated soley to him. But he was the worst offender and had me stop reading the series. Silly New Jedi Order...
  13. During the week i will put in a couple hours at night, depending on mood or if me and the missus have other plans. I will (obviously) keep up on the forums from work on free time as well. Usually Sunday is my big game day. I tried to play on friday nights, but its usually more involved and i end up doing something, or being distracted and accomplish little anyway. Sundays i can easily put in 6 hours of playtime with no real interruptions as the wife is *usually* at work. This made my first level 50 take forever to get. But now, im finding it much easier(also god bless the LFG tool introduction) to level others up.
  14. Keep geared up shouldnt really be a problem as you level along, especially by doing the occasional flashpoint between all your storyline stuff. Be certain you are not skipping out on some planet quests. You can usually do your own story on a planet relatively quickly, but the other available quests will give you commendations and much needed upgrades as you go. Especially the various heroic level quests. Heroic 4s or 2s on planets usually reward you with some blue level reward, or orange moddable gear for your character. Make sure to pick up new gear on planets with your commendations as needed. Even if the reward is a pair of pants and you already have a pair of pants, You can take the necessary mods out from one or the other. You can also buy mods from the mod vendors located near those same commendation equipment vendors. Keeping mods up to date becomes easier when you have crafters making them as well. I have a high level artifice who i return to ever now and then to make a new level set of enhancements or crystals for my toons. So that can help as well.
  15. Do not confuse The Sith race and Culture with the Sith Dark Side to the Jedi. The "Sith" as in the enemy to the Jedi would have existed, even had the Sith "race" been wiped out.
  16. So far, ive found my opposites to be quite amusing. Gault for instance seems to be at polar ends from my bounty hunter, in how i initially played him and how he has dealt with the various contracts. However the more conversations i have with Gault, the more i find myself liking him and my bounty hunter getting an insight and appreciation of him. (Yeah he is a con artist, but its not about the money so much as the thrill of doing it, and seeing how much you can get away with. Much like the thrill of the hunt) My Jedi Knight is rather open, so he gets along with everyone with the occasional difference of opinion with Doc.(he wants to be a hero for the glory, i am a hero just because). My inquisitor likewise seems to get along with everyone. Talos did not like it when i brushed off some imperial issues in favor of my own agenda, but our shared love for the past made up for it. Im starting a new Agent, and it will be interesting to see how Kalilyo and I get along or not. She has anarchy listed as a postive trait. Not sure how that will work with my agent. Ive
  17. That is par for the course with him. Just ignore him. He may think of them as facts, but its just another opinion in a sea of opinions. No reason to get upset at his or any others.
  18. How about some LS choices that "seem" good but are blatantly terribly Dark Side. A bit of the road to hell is paved with good intentions stuff. Biggest example. Cademimu flashpoint. You are tasked with diverting missiles from a trajectory. You can target your enemy fleet in orbit(depending on which side you are of course, determines the fleet) or you can target an uninhabited moon. The moon is listed as a light side choice, but this is really the most destructive of the two. The loss of a celestial body to a star system can be catostrophic. Let alone one to a planet(we must assume this moon is a moon of Cademimu), where the gravitational changes and debris would wreak havoc over a much greater period of time. But that is your lightside choice. Whereas blowing up an opposing enemy fleet, thereby preventing further confrontation and a costly ground battle with even more lives lost and damage done to the infrastructure is your dark side. Go figure.
  19. Well everyone has a presence in the force. Without him actively/unconciously doing something with the force, there would be no particular tell. But yes, as i said this was an old idea. Im sure later novels may have made it far more clear that this was not the case.
  20. I wouldn't be so hard for choosing a norse mythology name. The breadth and depth of humanity in the star wars universe is large and you can find comparisons to a number of real life analogues, such as Norse. There is no reason why your norse name, would not fit into the world as well as any other currently. The more stringent or strange naming conventions, come from the more obscure or alien cultures. Even then, there is nothing wrong with having an alien with a normal sounding name(perhaps it is the nickname he was given as his name is hard to properly pronounce in basic?). Making yourself fit is more about your playstyle and attitude than the game. Some archetypes and roles are universal, and fit in any setting. There are always rogues, heroes, villains of every shade. Start with something you know, or are comfortable playing and move from there. Dont try to create something from scratch that only fits into the star wars setting(especially as you seem to be not as familiar with some aspects) or you may limit yourself and your enjoyment.
  21. I think for the most part, the classes all do a fairly good job of being unisex(not in romance options mind you, just in role). The exception could be perhaps Jedi Knight and Consular. They seem to heavily push a lot of male NPC Knights, and female Consulars. Everything else seems to equally be feasible for either side. There is a plethora of both male and female troopers, smugglers, agents, Inquisitors, warriors and Bounty Hunters. Maybe the Jedi are just gender biased in role assignments? Or to *try* to spin it into something nice...Perhaps females have a keener grasp for force details and control. Making them much better consulars. Whereas the men of the galaxy by and large are brutes with the force?
  22. True, Human is more prevalent among the empire. However as a whole i looked at it like this. Chiss are much less likely to merely throw their citizens into the imperial war machine as common soldiers. An agent also fits the roles that other Chiss npcs seem to be fulfilling. That of battlefield advisors, and other means of support. Having said that, logically you could fit human into nearly every role if i based everyone on pure numbers(which i tried not too, but does play a part). They are the most wide spread race across the galaxy. And will be found in nearly every role along the way. Especially considering Cyborg is essentially human with prosthetics, this is more true.
  23. That is also because at that point in the galactic time, the Sith as a species was gone. Millennia of breeding with humans had slowly made them more and more human, and eventually the few mixed blood "true" sith died out. Inquisitor is most likely Sith Pureblood in a "pure class" form. Considering the time period basis you uncover it is the most logical. The most unlikely, near impossible would be a Chiss Inquisitor. The race was just discovered recently...so how could one have ties to an ancient family dynasty with the Sith? Most other classes seem to be fairly mutable. As they make very few specific time or space referenced that would prevent another species from making a logical choice. Bounty Hunter can be anything, with the exception of a Pureblood. Even then, this could still logically work. There are sith purebloods who are NOT force sensitive. They are inclined to it, this does not mean they all automatically are. A non force sensitive would find escape as a Bounty Hunter. Nearly every other race/class combination can work from a logical standpoint, with very little deviance to a "pure" class. For the sake of the thread though, i think it would be as such. Inquisitor- Sith Pureblood(as outlined above) Sith Warrior - Human. The Empire is at the point where Purebloods are not the end all be all in politics, and you notice 90% of the npcs are human Bounty Hunter - Cyborg. As a somewhat established nobody. It is safe to assume you made a name somehow. And in a dangerous galaxy may have been injured and modified as a result. This is also essentially human, the most prevalent species. Imperial Agent - Chiss. As your race "story" establishes, the Chiss are working with the empire, not exactly a full part of it. As a result, and knowing the chiss society, Agents seem the most logical extension of this meta story. Jedi Consular - Miraluka. A very prominent force species, who specialized more in the consular style of force than the brute force of the Knight. The most logical for this time period. Jedi Knight - Human. Continuing from the KOTOR storyline, a human Jedi makes the most sense here. Trooper - Human or Rattataki. Human is the most prevalent species in the galaxy, so it is only logical that a soldier would come from the largest percentage of the pooled forces. Rattataki however are a very martial race, and having thrown in with the republic lot, would also make for a most logical trooper choice. Smuggler - Twilek. You are a rogue on the edge of the law. Twilek as a people have ridden that edge for centuries, since their entire race was essentially enslaved by the Hutts. The majority of Twilek NPCs back up and fit into this mold as well. Keep in mind, before any posteriors are injured, this is the choices that seem to make the most logical sense and are backed up by ingame actions and lore. Im sure your Miraluka Smuggler has a very convincing story. But taking these classes as a standard, they are not the most easily identifiable or logical choice.
  24. Keep in mind this is LONG before the Rule of Two. While the life of a Sith is dangerous, your masters goal is not just to kill you randomly. If you notice there are very strict rules in place already, in which unsanctioned murders are dealt with. Training a apprentice is about having a power base. Having someone who works for you, even if they are doing it for their own goals/using you to gain more power, gives you the power to influence more people, direct more actions, etc ,etc. The Inquisitor storyline paints a rather unique example of the Master/Apprentice relationship, but we should take our cue from the NPCS along the way instead. Also in regards to other people working with them...Think about it more in terms of location. You have to realize the majority of these normal imperial people, soldiers, etc are imperials due to location. They happen to live in imperial space. Sure its all fine and dandy to say just up and leave...but what about your family? What about roots? Not too mention the propoganda and hatred on both sides of the war. The average imperial citizen/soldier is as sure that the Jedi would butcher them all, as the average Republic member is sure the Sith will kill them all.
  25. Forgive me if its a bit old, but what about the theory that Hans luck is force related? IE he is force sensitive, but never trained, doesn't believe in it and instead it flows through him on an instinctual level? It is why his children are so powerful with the force, as they descend from two force sensitives/users. Again, an old theory, so if it has been debunked or the like since i last heard it, by all means ignore it.
