  1. Invite me to your guild. I will be rusty, but I will get back into the game right now (after work). I will be awful, and do not expect to group with the best players, but a group of people to play with would be great. Have not played in months, but if your guild is willing to invite, I am game.
  2. Warhammer 3 Total War (High Elves) and CoH (yes, it’s almost 20 years old) are taking all of my time. I want to get into Crusader kings 3, but it is sooooo complicated. Also recently bought Age of Wonders 4, so I need to give that more attention. I have nearly 500 hours in Warhammer 3 Total War already. Love that game.
  3. It's the reason I continue to remain unsubscribed. Hell, I have basically quit at this point. I cannot remember when I last logged in, and since the announcement of the move to Broadsword, I have no desire to do so. Should Broadsword make the appropriate changes to PvP, I will consider resubscribing. Presently, there is no reason to do so. The Developers have borked the fun out of the game, and I do not see it returning.
  4. Your most recent update, about 25 minutes ago as of writing my response, is the most encouraging yet. It seems like good news. Now, will you kindly address the obscene deserter debuff and 8 man premades after the migration? That is, will you remove the debuff and reduce premades to 4 man?
  5. Mostly, I think you're right. But it feels even more pronounced now that they have (or whomever has) abandoned the game. I'm not suggesting I am good with the illusion of agency, but occasionally (very rarely actually..but still) they did address our concerns, albeit probably only when it was A) convenient for them or B) they had already made the decision to do so. Now posting is merely for socializing and barking at the moon.
  6. They have abandoned the game. BioWare signed a letter of intent to give/sell/whatever the game to Broadsword, another development company. They're done with the game. That is why no one has been posting. There is literally no reason to post about development problems unless one enjoys barking at the moon. I do not.
  7. They seem to always get the best voice actors for the primary language and then kinda do whatever for additional languages. Anime, as an example, often misses the mark when going from Japanese to English. I loathe reading subtitles, but the original voices often have much more soul when delivering the lines. It's almost as though they care more about the story and the rest turn in a perfunctory performance at best. Not always, but this is the rule as I have observed.
  8. Hopefully the game will thrive but, if it cannot or will not, it needs to go mercifully to its end. The feeling of neglect and the godawful PvP decisions made in since or about 7 are worse than the game's demise...to me.
  9. He is probably not legally allowed to tell us more. Adjusting to change has never been something I have enjoyed, and I suspect most would agree that change always brings about uncertainty, but I am encouraged that his message was more hopeful than you seem to be. Sure, I can comprehend the bad side, and it makes one wonder what upside BioWare sees in dumping a profitable franchise. I can also understand why shedding some bloat could be good for BioWare and Broadsword both. This does not fill me with confidence for the future of the game either, but that largely depends on Broadsword's management of the game. Remember when NCSoft straight killed coh? BioWare could have done that. They didn't. I was pretty pessimistic before, but that was before reading the second developer (or moderator) post on this. Unfortunately, all we CAN do is wait and see...but if the current players remain loyal to the game, there could be a lot of life left. There is more information about this to come. There must be.
  10. ...Maybe. Few corporations are going to acquire IPs without banking on some anticipated measure of profitability, but never underestimate that none of us is as dumb as all of us. Corporations make disastrous decisions all the time. Id est, if one community loses, I suspect all of us lose.
  11. Lambs to the slaughter. I am loathe to admit it, but you're right. It means, or at least I interpret it to mean, that Bioware doesn't care about the state of pvp as long as there are enough pve subscribers to keep enough pvp subscribers in the game. It means no meaningful changes will be considered, much less attempted, until this shoddy patchwork of a solution (seasons) begins to fail...It means we're all wasting our time here with answers to hypothetical questions bioware is not asking. Jolly good.
  12. You know...that...that. It doesn't work for me. I gotta have more orbs!

    'Premades'

The developers continue to win hearts and minds with their reticence.

In life, I do not have a lot of friends. What I have are several of the very best friends anyone could hope to have. I have known them for literal decades. Come to that, I actually have GAMING friends (friends met and maintained through games...as I define the term) whom I have known for literal decades. Yes, I am senescent. The problem is not making friends. The problem is making the RIGHT friends who share common gaming interests, specifically PvP, who will NOT shun me for my ability (or lack of same). Like it or not, most established friend groups function a lot like clubs. One must stand out FIRST, and then the members might reach out and connect. That seems to be socializing these days. I have neither the time nor the inclination to prove myself to would be friends.

Even something as basic as, "we're aware of this issue and are discussing internally," would have been enough. I am not asking for a lot here. Almost no one is. A simple acknowledgment of our frustration would be good.

    'Premades'

It is somewhat vexing that you can post about this, but not about the problems with premades...specifically 8mans that should never have been introduced.

Dunno what to tell you. 😉

It doesn't matter how many play PvP. It matters how many have stopped paying as a result. I have.
  19. Agreed. Sadly, they won't. It beggars belief that they have not addressed this, that they think it is good game design, and/or that they think it reduces toxicity. Maybe they're just milking the cow until it becomes desiccated because ea believes that the game has run its course. Maybe it is, as posited by posted video, in maintenance mode.
  20. First, the objective evidence is there. Poisoning the well does not make the evidence go away. “I didn’t think anything special of him,” is a lot different from “he is a bad player.” The former implies at least competence. The latter allows you to dismiss his claims out of hand. Again, ad hominem. Why is he a bad player? Disagreeing with his tier lists does not make him a bad player. Bad play makes him a bad player. If he is a bad player…why is he a bad player? It is a fair question. Secondly, winning is not everything. It is a LOT, but if winning is not fun, why bother? Finally, it is obvious that nothing will change. The population willing to PvP will diminish, the queues will get longer, and no one benefits from that. His solutions do not seem that radical. I do not understand your perspective on his video and on PvP in general. It is not in a good place regardless of whether one supports or condemns premades.
