  2. There is a difference in being in a group with new/returning/bad players. If everyone is solo, it is likely both sides will have the same players. The problem is when a group of four players with a healer/tank combo group up and queue. Why is it too much to ask to have a place that solo players can go to PVP against other solo players? Again, I am sure at least 90% of the players in unranked would rather be playing against other solo PVPers and not against a premade.
  3. That seems very silly. What does a group of 3 do when they want to do a flashpoint? They find a fourth. Truth is most people in unranked are solo and want to play against other people that aren't in a premade. I have never seen someone in unranked that goes man I really hope the other team is two premades vs our PUG. The other option is to just make a solo pvp queue so people can escape from playing against premades in pvp.
  4. Maybe the answer is to make a solo unranked and a group unranked. There is no fun to be had when you are solo and some premade is on the other team. Almost all of the premades I see in unranked aren't even good players, they just have a dedicated tank/healer combo with two dps in the same area. I understand why they are not in ranked. I would just like a place to go to play against other solos. Let the premades fight the other premades.
  5. I know this isn't what you wanted to hear, but engie is, imo, the weakest in pvp out of the three specs (still doable, just weak in comparison to the other specs). You are better off with mm or lethality.

    Heals in pvp are too strong when combined with DCDs, guard, cc, ect. To top this off, HPS is still higher than DPS. Do we really want a game where everyone is playing godmode healer and noone ever dies?

    I'm still confused, do people actually think that a healer should equal more than 1 player? With things like cc (push, pull, knockback) guard, taunt, and DCDs .... why the hell would HPS be equal to DPS? Much less even more than DPS! Wow! Insanity! A healer isn't godmode, they should die if a DPS player gets on them and their team ignores it. Heals should be a support, not godmode.
  8. Both are in a better atm than sorcs. With that being said sniper will allow you to be more stationary and kill peoples while the merc has cooldowns and is designed more so to be on the run.

Yes exactly, most of these types of people have never done real realm vs realm fighting and never experienced the frustrating that occurs when it's 100 vs 200 (one side getting crushed badly) or tower/keep humping or the massive amounts of lag associated with it. It all comes down to people will whine and cry about things they do not even know about.

    Just because you get outplayed doesn't mean they are optimal. There is a large difference in skill level in SWTOR and a skilled player can take a level 55 warrior (no advanced class) and probably beat you doesn't mean it's optimal.
  13. does someone seriously think ops are squishier than madness sins? I bet they do not know the shield, evasion, and roll are baseline and that sins have the worst lvl 51 ability in the history of all mmo's Please tell me he is trolling or very new... lol

    Sorcs CAN work, the prob is that they just aren't as good as the other classes atm. Mercs and snipers have much better tools. There needs to be some small buffs to sorcs defense, such as force speed removes roots and maybe a static shield buff. I don't think anyone is asking for electronet, kolto overlord, energy shield, and hydraulic override but sorcs definitely need something. Honestly though I think merc defense is a little over the top. The only problem I see with buffing sorcs is that it is such a hugely popular class.
  15. Guard is fine, it is op/scro healing that is out of line.
  16. One dps class should be able to kill a healer after a lengthy fight 1v1. If not, there is no way to kill a properly guarded/taunt protected healer that has peels and knockbacks/stuns. Someone enjoys their godmode.
  17. Pot5 server has 2-3 min wait between ranked solo pops ... Transfer to a PVP server to PVP imo.
  18. I have both, both are fun, especially once they get their root on ravage for pvp... also IMO rage jug > rage mara for pvp. You appear to be a PVE'er, with that being said I think the mara will outshine jug dps in pve. I say this because the jug's DPS specs are more geared to PVP.

Best class in pvp = sentinel They are extremely useful in every single game, their insanely high dps with highest pvp defense (cooldowns) in game make them a killing machine with very little drawbacks. Voidstar - highest dps in game is required in this map as you have to capture objective point when no enemy is around, can go rage for massive aoe dmg of oldschool jug with high pvp defense of a mara, AOE mez is extremely useful in planting the bomb as well l Huttball - highest dps for burning ball carrier down, has one leap, predation for speed to get ball in endzone / pick up ball first Civil War - pred to get to node first, highest dps in game is required in this map as you have to capture objective points when no enemy is around, AOE mez is extremely useful in capturing a point NC - pred to get to far node for disruption, highest dps in game is required in this map as you have to capture objective points when no enemy is around, AOE mez is extremely useful in capturing a point Anyway if you want to PVP and not be a healer your best bet is a sentinel, a close second would be a pyro powertech. An operative is the class to play for healing.
  20. Tanksin was way overpowered before - this nerf is hope to bring them in line with the other classes. With that being said if you are used to sin tank spec you are going to have difficulties play anything else other than a pyro PT, op healer, or any spec marauder.
  21. Sorry wohast I've seen your hybrid spec and I dislike it a ton. There is an op on our server that runs your spec that I regularly had to kill in duels on my sorc and conceal operative to show him that it isn't that good. Either way I dislike the playstyle but that is just my opinion. Also my opinion is Andriod > Wohast. Android plays conceal op identical to how I play mine. Plus conceal videos > 5 hour hybrid healing videos of 1v1.
  22. LOL a marauder loses it is because he is either severly severly outplayed or severly outgeared. OFC marauders lose 1v1s, so many of them are FOTM rerollers which are usually terrible players overall. This game isn't about beating the random FOTM marauder. It is about an equal geared equal skilled character being able to beat a marauder 1v1. They are wayyy overtuned DEFENSIVELY and will eventually be adjusted.
  23. LOL this post is full of win. Basically when you see a marauder if he is equal skilled and equal geared you better stun and run and come back with 5 other people and hope that he doesn't decide to kill you through his 5 seconds of godmode. Winning post is winning. Anyway you know a nerf is coming to a class when so many people start posting that the class is fine. My marauder is lvl 21 and he is already overpowered (cloak of pain = most OP ability in game).
  24. I would look at engineering as the utility tree for the sniper. MM has awesome damage if it doesn't get blocked by a tank, leth has awesome backloaded damage period, and engineering is the utility tree. That isn't to say engineering doesn't have good damage, it is just more focused on utility and defense.
