  1. What's the name on the mission that says you need to use the ships holoterminal?
  2. Did you try just going ahead to Voss? That's about the level I was when I went through it the first time. I didn't have much of a problem with Voss, had moved on Corellia by 45 and completed the final mission of Act III at 47. You didn't mention your spec, mine was a combat/watchmand hybrid.
  3. What was the last step you did? Does the abandoned mining facility show up as a destination on your galactic map?
  4. There is typically a difference between the amount of downtime for a new game versus those that have been out for a while. Also keep in mind that while the window may be for six hours doesn't mean the game will be down for six hours. Like most NOCs, they pad their maintenance windows. But the percentage of times which they use the entire window is lower. Also keep in mind that the patch notes do not include everything. Typically exploit fixes and stability fixes aren't publicized.
  5. Heh, I had a blast with it not reading the spoilers. 24-ish is about where I really began to fall in love with the story.
  6. Gosh and here I thought that was the definition of urgent hotfixes. In other words, whether you think it to be unlikely or not doesn't change the fact that it's what's being done.
  7. How's that tinfoil hat working out for ya? Keep in mind that LA is unlikely to endorse that to kind of model--at least not in the near future. You also have realize that there are probably financial clauses in the license contract which would make F2P a non-lucrative option at this point.
  8. LOL! One could even go further and say: "Clearly this is due to SWTOR because EA doesn't have any bigger gaming franchises."
  9. You do if you have a guild bank on the old server that you want get to moved to the new server.
  10. Want to provide some examples? In fact some MMOs restrict WHERE you can post on their forums after you first subscribe. Your account has to be active for a certain amount of time before that restriction is lifted. But no, I've never seen a subscription-based MMO which allowed non-subscribers to post.
  11. You're kidding, right? Or did you not know that SWG had a fantastic space game? There have been others as well. It helps to actually do your due diligence before heading off on grandiose paths.
  12. Heh, and for me I was several steps into Act 3 when I noticed it.
  13. Same advice to you. The information you've given above is also completely incorrect with one exception--that being the difficulty of converting SWG to F2P would have been. On-topic for the thread: The article is talking about games in general. That includes not just MMOs but the single-player games as well. This model already exists to an extent--even within EA. The Sims 3 has a tremendously successful content store. Not that I like that kind of model, but there are ways to balance things. For myself? I dislike microtransactions. But if you look at it from a business sense, it's the way the market has been headed for the past several years.
  14. As the other person said, the Holorelay is a bonus side-quest to the main line. Your log should tell you where to go next, but if you haven't done anything at all on Alderaan yet, the next step should be to talk to Count Alde. The house he's in is not overly obvious--he's in one of the buildings in the Organa compound near where you did the holo relay quest. If I remember right, if you exit the cantina he is in a building in the corner of the compound that is almost directly across the courtyard in the direction you are facing. Head forward and veer slightly to your left and you should find it.
