  1. Thanks for the input! I've usually maxed out Qyzen's Chapter 1 conversations by the time the third planet is done, so I was getting frustrated.
  2. Did you put the gear on her before the expansion came out, or more recently? Every time I've put gear on my companions, since it's cosmetic only, it stays in my inventory, until I put it in storage.
  3. So this is the first time I've rolled a fresh character since the companion affection has been revamped. I'm on Taris, and have Qyzen Fess up to level 9. Now, by Taris, humping affection, I would have had several conversations with Qyzen already - I've done a consular before. But the only conversation I've had with him is the conversation after you get the ship about how he's traveled on ships in the past. When do we get our conversations?
  4. Eh, nvm on that last question - my friend got his droids a little bit ago. Evidently, when he first logged in (he's in Europe), it wasn't yet activated (so he probably logged in somewhere around 7 am or so his time - before, what is it, 3 am Eastern that it kicked off. He logged in again a bit ago and got his.
  5. Another two questions in the same vein. I have a friend who didn't receive his droids when he logged in today, and as of yet, still hadn't. He had dropped down to preferred from sub, but re-upped his sub on logging in today. However, he had not logged into the game from the time the droid thing was announced until today - so did he not get it because he was preferred (and if so, will it eventually kick in since he re-upped and is a subscriber again), or was logging in with the character before today a requirement?
  6. So you just have to log into one, then?
  7. So, do you have to log into every character to get the droid on every character, or just log into the account in game - so, one character - to get it on all characters?
  8. Hiya. It's been FOREVER since I leveled up a JC or the Sith equivalent, and then I was solo leveling, not in a group. But I'm in a group now. So what I've been doing is keeping Cedrax out, and I'm mostly offensive, until I need to get into healing, other than throwing bubbles and occasional spot heals on my partner, Cedrax can usually more than handle the healing. When I go in for my class quest, I go solo, so I bring out Qyzen to tank (yes, both Qyzen and Cedrax's gear is on level). So I'm looking for a blend of Seer and TK skill trees that I can use while I'm leveling up, or even after leveling up, while grouped so I don't gimp my offensive abilities just to improve healing abilities that I'm not using a whole heck of a lot atm. Can anyone help me out?
  9. This is good info for me, as I'm a returning player, and when last I played, if my dots hadn't timed out before the target died, it didn't trigger an auto-target.
  10. Would love this. It's been so long ago that my capped characters finished their class storylines, I've forgotten some major parts of it (close to two years ago).
  11. For me, it's not about power - it's about....well, my first character was a JC, and I played her lily-white light. Pretty much her only dark points came in conversations with Zenith, because she lusted after him. And I got burned out on her. I switched to the dark side for a while, and had a blast. I like playing both ways - frankly, dark side conversations are more fun, and you don't seem like such an a** when you choose a snarky reply. And darker conversations, for me, are more fun, lol. I have characters on both sides, and after, um several, several months away from the game, am planning on getting back into it, and slowly playing around and getting characters of each type at least to the end of the class quests (so 50 area), because I've only done JC, Trooper, Bounty Hunter, Agent, Inquisitor, and SW to max level (at the time). I want to experience all the quest lines, see how the others overlap, since they all do, and even the companions overlap, or the companions of one overlap with the missions of another class. And classes I've maxed, I want to play through again, this time as that opposite gender. Not only to refresh myself with the story line, since it's been so long since most of toons hit the original level cap and I can't remember some of it, but I want to see what the opposite gender romance is like.
  12. Both the SI and the SW get it. SW gets it on turning 50, SI gets it at the final end of your storyline.
  13. Your best chance for raiding is to find a raiding guild. People don't frequently takes pugs in raids.
  14. I've used cc to buy one character slot - so I have 13.
  15. Actually, in Illinois, if you DON'T have a brick and mortar store in the state, you have to charge state sales tax on Internet purchases - although I don't think that applies to imaginary goods such as cartel coins. It may be that they are charging sales tax for the state that BW is located in (in this case, TX).
  16. False Emperor part, from what I understand, is storymode only. The other flashpoint - which depends on which side you are on - is hard mode only.
  17. I totally agree! After much research, we've decided my crashing issues were probably caused by this memory leak (I have 4 gigs). Last night I was crashing often enough (and with HUGE amounts of memory used) that I decided to restart my comp this morning, just to make sure. I haven't been in game yet, today.
  18. The problem is, this is happening to f2p players, who have no fleet pass. I boarded my ship somewhere around 1 am this morning, and this poor consular was standing there, but I couldn't target her. Yes, she was f2p, no fleet pass, and every time she tried the escape pod, she died in space, and ended up back on everyone's smuggler ship. I asked that someone file a ticket for her, as it was really late and I had to go to bed. She couldn't even exit the ship when it landed.
  19. But yet, Tionese, Columi, Rakata, you can still put class specific gear on your companions.
  20. Very good changes, but when is it going to happen?
  21. Okay, so my commando just started Tatooine (she's level 26 now). I had been using Jorgan, and although my health would take a heavy hit during our fights sometimes, we would mow stuff down. I could concentrate on the Elite, and he could take the adds. I didn't even bring out Elara. Then I got FourEx. Was going to use FourEx so he could tank for me, but guildies convinced me to use Elara. Don't get me wrong, staying healed is great, but the fights are so much longer, and I end up running out of energy now. So my first question is, which companion do you suggest? Second question - what is a good leveling rotation? I had a good one down with Jorgan, and the mobs imploded quickly (I have high presence, so he ends up doing more damage than I do), but now with Elara, like I said, I'm running out of power with the same rotation. Any advice you could give on either of the above topics would help me. Back in the beginning of the game, I had Elara out the whole time after I got her, and I managed, but I haven't played that character since February, so I can't remember all that did. Also, do you recommend leveling up companion affection mostly at the same time, or concentrate on one until you've had all the chats you are going to have that chapter, then moving on to another, etc.?
  22. I, for one, welcome the f2p players to our servers. And I wouldn't support putting them on their own servers. For one, I'm able to help my son out by crafting items for him. For two, the increased population on planets is wonderful. Yes, the fleet is laggy as all get out, but on the planets, you actually get conversations going in chat, and you get people willing to help other people. It's nice to see.
  23. Just saying, LOTRO launched 5 1/2 years ago without a Mac client. It still doesn't have onw, unless you boot camp your system.
