  1. With this guy making development decisions you are 100% correct sir...
  2. I wonder if the OP plays or is even still a subscriber... Last post by the OP was nearly a month ago on 4/20... How many of the problems the OP cite over THREE months ago are still not corrected? Granted some of those most of us would not consider "problems"... Food for thought.
  3. I never thought about this but will be a real problem especially for the raiding crowd. Coming next in TOR: The Gear Nazis!
  4. Way to go with the personal attacks there guys... When I read the OP's post and these responses I wonder who really has personal issues...
  5. But wouldn't the keet be OP then?? I can just see the "Nerf the parrot eye patch nowwww!!!!" threads...
  6. I wanted one of those Somethingkeets too... I agree though they should have had a eye patch for fun!
  7. ^^This happens in so many industries it's not funny. I've seen it more from a CS perspective but cleaning up sales messes are typically not what you would call fun. Apologies to any sales people but they often have a tendency to be pushy and can ask for unreasonable things quite often. They also often do not have qualms about throwing somebody like a dev or CS 'under the bus' or make empty promises to either save their own behind or to pad their commissions by making more sales. Guess who gets the heat when the customer is mad as hell?? If you guessed Customer Service that is 100 points for you!!! Ding ding ding!!!! Once again, apologies to any ethical sales people out there but I've experienced this first hand all too often...
  8. All I know about TSW is that EA is involved which means I'm not even considering it. At this point, my friends and I have been burned out on the genre (MMO) for a few years and finally quit WoW over 2 years ago. We tried other MMOs while patiently waiting for TOR but just found that we were getting tired of the genre and all the associated guild politics and drama. After 10 years you see so much crap (I bet nearly EVERY vet MMOer has a story or two) you start to stay away from joining guilds and keep among yourselves for the most part. We probably are going to do D3 (one friend is already playing) since all three of us can play together and our main reason why we game together as it is how we stay in touch over hundreds of miles and years of separation. Either way, not going to be trying TSW or even GW2 most likely at this point...I think we're done with MMOs...at least for a few years.
  9. ^^Hopefully THIS clears it up for him. I was way too tired and feeling lazy to explain this.
  10. Well then you should see the instant benefit of having players with multiple roles in terms of filling out a team faster. I'm not going to elaborate with examples but this should be rather apparent through simple logic.
  11. I have played the Sims (at least the first one) and thought it was great (at least novel) for the first couple of weeks but soon got bored beyond belief and have never thought about getting into the genre again. It just amazes me how well this franchise does when I would not play this for free as I would rather use my entertainment time on something I would consider enjoyable. Not sure why so many like a "sim" that is as far from reality as you can get. It's a virtual world playground and not a actual simulator of anything but masquerades as it. Sorry just my $ 0.02.... P.S. I guess this is the epitome of a casual game and what EA means about a "casual" player...
  12. When I read this I thought either you're new to MMOs or well....I don't know because dual spec is kind of the norm. Many people also like to have a PvP and PvE spec if they do a lot of both. I know since there is not much to do at 50 you may wonder what's the point of having 2 specs when you have trouble doing anything with 1 spec but at least you'll make it easier to find groups when ready to fill two roles rather than one. It would make grouping and finding groups that much easier.
  13. I haven't logged in almost a MONTH let alone ONE WEEK... Trying to critique a MMO after one week is like trying to rate a restaurant based on the glass of water they bring you. Sorry to rain on your parade but you had to have known that telling people from launch that this game is better than sliced bread was going to ignite a firestorm right? Seriously there had to be more reason to this post than just howling out to the community how you love this game...
  14. I am so glad I started with DAoC... My friends started with EQ so hearing about it was enough to keep me away from it!
