  1. Pretty much. I'm sure they'll figure out some solution before 1.2 rolls out (hopefully, or there's going to be massive complaints), but you'll always be able to get most all your gear from GTN now that everything is becoming BoE. They're putting a huge reliance on GTN, for better or worse. I guess we'll have to see on that end. But about [Rated] War Hero gear... yeah, they need to fix that. A CLEAR oversight on their end.
  2. Oh, hi Merza. It's Adelie, the one who helped you finish your class quest.
  3. Incorrect. http://i.imgur.com/R4rXT.jpg Unless you can somehow Augment gear or they change it, [Augmented] Oranges will remain BiS, even over [Rated] War Hero gear. So at present, there is absolutely no reason to get [Rated] War Hero gear when you can just get all your armorings/mods/enhs from [non-Rated] War Hero gear or GTN.
  4. You didn't complain about the quantity healed. You complained about the act of healing, to which I responded that it was already done. Now about the quantity of healing, I don't see anything wrong with stealth classes being able to CC, Vanish, and "Rest" uninterrupted. It's the same as in many other MMOs (in all the ones I'm familiar with at least) and clearly, it's BW's intention to do the same. So regardless of the QQ'ing, the point remains mute. I don't forsee this to be some 'game-breaking issue', so much that BW feels pressured to even consider changing it. But sure, flame at me all you want if it makes you feel any better. Not gonna change anything though.
  5. They can already do that by spamming the "rest" ability. Don't see your point. It's a nice change, and I prefer not to see complaints on even the small convenient fixes that are cool to have. But seeing how this is the SWTOR forums, I don't see my optimism getting anywhere.
  6. Or like WoW arenas, just plan your CC/interrupts and focus fires well.
  7. Summary: Yes, it is possible in 1.15 to use F-Myst gear with melee stats. Now is it viable? Certainly in sustained DPS, it isn't. What about burst? Well, you would only worry about burst in PvP (generally), but because armorings include Set Bonuses and Expertise, if you choose the Rakata F-Myst set gear, you'll obtain the set bonuses but not the desired Expertise from any PvP gear. Thus, you'll lose 200 Expertise for +50 Energy (and some gains in WP/End from the stat differences). Needless to say however, it's still a loss in damage output.
  8. You don't even need to strip the armoring. You can already buy the F-Myst gear and swap out both the mods and enhs with optimal DPS ones to make them equivalent to Rak Stalker, save for the set bonus. Regardless, it's a loss in DPS.
  9. Honestly, it sounds like you're trying to play Deception-spec'd while being Madness-spec'd. Solo-ing skilled/geared healers from 100-0 as a Madness doesn't work very well, unless you're willing to spend over a minute focusing him down. It's more about contributing/adding damage than bursting/assassinating single targets.
  10. People really seem to be understimating the power of Instant Whirlwinds.. It's like playing a Rogue in WoW and never using Blind. How dare you!
  11. Both Shock and Creeping Terror are optional. But the rest is true.
  12. ... I suppose you are more right than you imagine.
  13. This guide is quite outdated. For reference by the way, the standard Deception uses Upheaval.
  14. 1.3-1.5 is a pretty huge exaggeration, but I agree with the above poster in that the BH's 'Overload' activates much more quickly. However, I wonder if this is more of a balance issue than anything else. I'm content with the way it is, and I wouldn't expect a change unless it's game-breaking or a lot of people make complaints about it.
  15. danggg lucky. I only found one so far on the GTN and I spent 1.1m for it. :[
  16. They exist, but only from Operations. And since the drop for them is so rare, obtaining them (directly or buying) is extremely rare, let alone expensive. The DPS difference is maybe ~2 though, so you're not missing out on much. ~10 total?
  17. ^ So confused at that question, but I'll parse it: This is correct. The calculation is done based on sustained, or average, damage output. In the rare case that you never ever crit, then power would surpass in damage (however, the gain would be quite marginal since it's only .03 coefficient). And since this is indeed sustained, we have to incorporate abilities such as Recklessness and Energize separately. This requires more than the trivial math I showed already, as it requires damage rotations/priorities. Simulationcraft does this easily (and correctly), and it'll still show Willpower>Power, as shown in the last link I provided. Nope, Willpower > Power. Once 3.+k WP is obtained, Power > Willpower. Common sense dictates that stacking WP is the best option over power, until that number WP is more a reality.
  18. You're very close to the right conclusion. You are correct in that Power doesn't even out with Willpower until ~3.+k Willpower. But looking at the link, the higher curve until that point is the Willpower one; this means the higher curve, Willpower, provides more DPS. So in other words, because getting ~3.+k Willpower is impossible, you want to stack as much Willpower as possible over Power.
  19. The PvE tanking MH is fine. There really isn't a 'main tanking stat.' Try reading up on the tanking thread, or visit the Tanking Compendium on Sith Warrior forums. You'll learn a lot more about maximizing your mitigation. But the short answer is that unless you're hitting huge DRs on defense, then you should always take it. And if you're already hitting huge DRs on defense, you probably itemized your gear incorrectly.
  20. It makes a difference in competitive PvP when you reach a high enough ELO, and isn't that all that matters? Yes, that was sarcasm.
  21. Empirical data at the very least implies that the data is reliable (sample size, etc.).. And what has been used as 'evidence' so far could hardly be considered empirical. As I said before, I really don't care which stats you guys prioritize. It's just funny that one would ignore something so obvious while trying to use 'evidence' (if one can so loosely use the term) based on which one "looks like it'll provide more DPS".
