  1. With the first 2 points, that sort of stuff can't be helped by BW. After all, it's players that are the problem. Ignore them, move on. With the last point, you'll find it will be the opposite: New content will be delivered more, as bioware can charge for it. At least, the free players will be charged. The subscribers will get it for free. Theoretically at least.
  2. I can't help but notice how many announcements there are regarding maintenance schedules. Here's a suggestion: Only post an announcement when the servers are not in maintenance. You'll end up spamming the forums much less.
  3. This. A thousand times over. Zorrhid annoyed the crap outta me. Jadus was the lesser of 2 evils in my mind.
  4. I reckon he did but added the 'with regret' part.
  5. I've also decided to throw in the towel. For a while I've been ignoring the problems the game has been having while I was levelling my Imperial Agent. My IA is now level 50 and I find myself completely unmotivated to log in to it to get anything done. Although in this case there are personal reasons behind it as well as in game reasons. (And by personal reasons I mean unrelated to the game). I can't even motivate myself to level another toon. As such I just feel it's pointless paying for a sub. Oddly enough, this also happened in WoW as well so maybe I'm just not the person who MMOs are designed for.
  6. Is that supposed to be ironic or do you not know that it was Gandalf that said that?
  7. Yet running through the class story again with minimal difficulty would be fun? I'd say if they did this they should just make it so that you can view the cinematics any time you want once you have already viewed them. Although if they did that they'd have to record your choices so that it played out the same way.
  8. Actually, if they leave the old setu bonuses on the shell then those pieces of armour will be required for min-maxers, as they'd be able to use the armourings of the newer pieces for their set bonuses and still get the set bonuses from the old pieces. So something needs to be done to prevent people getting 2 lots of set bonuses, at least. Easiest way of doing that is to make the bonus on the armoring put in. Edit: Of hell, why not go the whole 9 yards and add another slot specifically for bonuses?
  9. Why are so many of you putting it as $? Don't give bioware ideas! It's credits
  10. The cover system can be used anywhere. I've got a level 50 sniper, and if you take cover where none is available you'll just crouch in place with a sort of mini shield brought up in front of you. While the sniper might be an empire character, the storyline is definitely worth it. Incidentally, I'm currently levelling a commando as well and quite enjoying it so far. I got the ability that let's you shoot people to heal them and did an esseles run with it which I quite enjoyed. basically, just think: Would you prefer a heavy cannon and heavy armor or medium armor and dual wield pistols?
  11. Try and think what else you want in a character: Do you want to be able to heal or tank in any way? Or would you prefer to be pure DPS? Do you want a character that is capable to stealthing? Also think about storyline and general class feel.
  12. I think what they really need to do is implement alternate ways of earning the perks other than money. Like for instance, to get the XP buffs you have to do that sort of thing X amount of times. So, to get the first tier of space combat XP they should make it so you get it after 10 battles. Alternatively they need to make it so that there are ways to make the purchases cheaper, as currently legacy level is nothing but an artificial barrier.
  13. With legacy, I've had legacy goals I've wanted to achieve before levelling other chars. 1 of them was to get the 100 precense buff that comes from levelling a human to 50, which I achieved last night. Another is to try and unlock all the class buffs to make it easier for everyone, although I find it's not that common to find people that can buff more than their own classes. Am I running in to the wrong players or do most people either: A) Not have any buff unlocks. or B) Only have 1 other?
  14. No he isn't. More specifically, the 'theory part. IE: Just because the theory states that, with a large sample size you'll find the probability to be correct, it doesn't mean it always is. I do wonder what the % it's come out with overall is for the population of single server, though, as that would certainly be classed as a huge sample size.
