  1. I'd rather fight alongside them as a companion character and talk to them as we go then just have conversations with them. The companions are only silent after there arc because bioware abandoned them...like they're going to do with these guys as they do with all companions/npc's. What you should be asking is for bioware to step up there game when it comes to npc's in general.
  2. As a sith inq it'd be nice to have an apprentice who doesn't break the sith code regularly and tell me he plans to kill me one day straight to my face, and one who isn't an uppity jedi. When I first started the storyline I kinda expected her to become a companion anyway...but in case that's not actually the plan here's my +1 for the idea.
  3. When more of the events content's release I'll comment on it, atm it's a lazy chunk of busy work. Not sure what you expect or if you've even tried it out.
  4. Not much of an event, running back and forth over the same area. little to no action no new voice work from your character.
  5. If this game is so terrible why do so many that hate it spend all there time posting on it's forums?
  6. iirc they said they wanted to make sure it was completely ready before releasing him. given he was underway before release I'd say that was crap and they'll release him when they can get people to buy him from the cash shop.
  7. I can't but that might have something to do with playing it for five years, but that's got nothing to do with the post you quoted. The point of that post is swtor is competing with games right now. Not as they were at release. every in game tool for finding groups/questing/chatting is bare bones, and certainly no competition for current mmo's. Trying to excuse it away by saying it's better at release then wow was is just stupid, it's true but it makes no difference to anyone. It doesn't suddenly excuse it's now outdated systems, even the game's engine is outdated. Hate blizzard all you want but at least they've made optimizations to there engine going forward.
  8. Remember the real world where company's compete with there current...competition? Yeah the swtor dev's evidently didn't either. The world doesn't work that way you live in the now. That excuse is so illogical it risks a singularity that will consume us all.
  9. Given how little features this game has that wow has shown benefit an mmo community immensely I'd say you're full of crap OP. They've listened to nobody with any sense. They thought a fully voiced game was innovative enough to make there game. They were idiots who ignored the beta testers and every suggestion since. They should start listening to there player base.
  10. Ah of course, it's just the industry is going in this direction. It's not that most mmo's that are going free to play are abysmal compared to there competitors, it's not that they're not worth the sub price, it's just the industry is going this way. Yeah that must be it.
  11. That's what this game needs lower population per server!
  12. What an mmo needs is to take what works in the industry now and add there own touch to it and no the old republic devs voice acting didn't count.
  13. But after thinking about it you decided not to because there's almost no difference but for the occasional ganking...right?
  14. More functionality from the group finder. What we can expect to find in the coming cash shop and a of course date for the conversion to f2p.
  15. I'm all for more classes to start off with, although I very much doubt any will ever come without being the major focus of an expansion, given how much pricey voice work is needed. I just wanted to say Re the title: the prequels are 100% lucasarts approved to, I'm sure it's been mentioned but it needs re-iterating (and they're abysmal, it's not much of a selling point to stick lucasarts on something anymore)
  16. I really need to get into the analyst business, seems you can say whatever the expletive you want and people will believe you. Seriously if they retain one million players let alone subs after this they'll be thanking whatever gods they keep.
  17. If I were a betting man I'd say the up-coming vanity item/novelty item cash shop will feature re-customization options, perhaps hair styles and other options.
  18. The current system requires a few updates to bring it up to par: -save role selection (This should be obvious not sure why we got such a bare bones system) -search through a larger pool of players, cross server functionality. (add a toggle to stay in server for those convinced that such a feature will end the world as they know it) -port to and from instance. (again a toggle or different "exit area" option at the end) And now for the feature that really makes a group finder shine: dual spec. something that's been worked on apparently for some time now, would be nice to have some word on it's progress. Atm we can que as different roles at once which is bewildering given the inconvenience of switching specs what we need is a system similar to many current mmo's allowing us to set and save two or more specs. A gear manager would be nice to but that's a fight for another day.
  19. This bares repeating many times over, I can't state enough how annoying elitists are...but wanna-be elitists whingeing like hipsters is far, far worse. TB has never been on the bleeding edge of anything but always behaves as if he is. He's a gaming hipster.
  20. Communication of any kind beyond mods closing threads pointing to old announcements would be nice. What happened to multispecc? the frequent content?
  21. suggestion forum has really picked up speed since the f2p announcement. Hopefully it'll draw more attention.
  22. It'd be nice to have word on multi-spec. We know they planned to include it, we just don't know when.
  23. Given the popularity of "theme-park" mmo's over the now all but extinct sandbox versions It's safe to say people don't in fact want or prefer it.
