  1. The only time this boss actually gets somewhat challenging as a healer is when the whole raid steps in aoe and stuff repeatedly, as a dps it's ridiculously easy. Haven't tanked it but it doesn't seem that hard either. Mechanics in a nutshell: stack on first phase with tank out, run out if you get debuff. Then you kill some adds, put some beams on other adds, interrupt the boss, avoid some aoe and tada you've killed the boss
  2. Would probably end up netting them a lot LESS money, since people buy hypercrates and packs just for a chance at some good stuff (1 or 2 items per pack type usually). If they'd be able to just buy everything right off the get-go, they wouldn't shell out the big bucks for a few hypercrates. Definate no from me, not even taking into account that for the older players that were around when the first cartel packs came out got those sets and now have something to show for being part of this game for a long time.
  3. At the off-chance of sounding like an ******e, I think translating this game to Spanish is very much not at the top of a very long list of things that would help make this game thrive.
  4. If you're not using snipe (except in virulence, where it's replaced by lethal shot) you're doing it wrong big time. In your abilities, find crouch and replace take cover with that. It'll make you go into cover at the place you're standing. If that is what you mean.
  5. Nowadays people seem to have major issues with running around and looking at stuff to begin with, let alone use their minimaps. 2 red dots pop up there, just make sure you're not in between them. Running to the back of the room and just looking (you know, with your eyes) to check where they spawn also works miracles
  6. Just reroll literally anything else, or spec healer
  7. You could go for mastery augments if you feel like running low alacrity and don't wanna have well over 2k crit. You don't lose a significant % of crit going from 2300 to 1900, and even gain some of it back through mastery. You get a bunch of bonus straight up damage too. Having said that, with the new 236 augments you get 462 extra power compared to the 228's, so that kinda makes up for dropping the mastery augments and going back to high alacrity (1.3s GCD). At max gear levels I'd say the high alacrity is worth it, and as has been said parsely seems to agree.
  8. Currently the boosts for getting a mirrorclass to 300 is 25% for all other characters, for a total of 100%. Maybe once you have all 4 mirrorclasses, the boost should triple to 300%. There would be an incentive to getting all classes to 300. Right now I have 4 characters at 300, and I think it's a pretty big grind, although an understandable one. But why, once you've put in the time to get a bunch of characters to 300, should the grind of even more alts be just as bad? It might put people off from trying out other classes and making more characters.
  9. I must've been in a group with 4 of these guys, the total damage output of both tanks and 4 dps was 16k lol
  10. Temporary fix for me was to alt+enter OUT of fullscreen. Worked twice when I had crashes now. So basically you don't want to have it at fullscreen (even windowed fullscreen didn't work) when you go into character selection.
  11. My thoughts exactly, I'm wondering why I even thought about resubbing for this. I feel like there hasn't been a whole lot of thought that has gone into this system. If it were legacy-wide, with gear tokens that you could trade around between characters, I could've kinda understood it. This, this is just complete crazyness. And that's just with a day's worth of playing, getting the command system up to level 6. I can't for the live of me imagine having to do this crap for all my alts. Wish I had a timemachine to go back and slap my past self for even thinking about resubbing for this ****.
  12. 210 gear is pretty crappy, especially compared to the 220 blue drops off of random mobs. I expected at least 220 from the big bosses in veteran mode but bw just gonna bw...

  14. Only thing I can hope for is that after the new expansion, the eternal empire thing will see its end, only for some epic battle to break out between the (former) Alliance forces. Like an old blood kinda thing you know. To me that would make sense, and also allow for really good storytelling (which is what BW seems to focus on anyways). How old enemies turned into friends to fight a common enemy, only to be going after each other now that they finally defeated said enemy. Seeing the way KotFE turned out I'm not holding my breath, but it would be kinda neat if they did this. And add some new PvP and Ops. Wishful thinking I know
  15. So basically I just spend close to a year completing this story, to find out we're getting a follow-up story. I'm like ''Ok, I guess that makes sense, let's just finish up this KotFE story and see how BioWare connects the two together.'' Now if only No Man's Sky could work, so my day full of disappointments can continue
  16. Call them, they'll probably move your character as you're talking to them. Surely by now you know that tickets don't get answered that quickly, if at all?
  17. I transferred from ToFN 1.5 years ago, I felt back then it was already all but buried. I know the remaining players are a very tight community, heck I was part of the guild of OP for a long time, but I felt like it was time to move on. It still baffles me that BW can't transfer guild ships and all that comes with them, but after years of stupid ****, what else could I expect really? I do hope that something will be figured out, either in the way of granting the guild leaders tokens to buy back the items they had on the guild ships, or just do something to make those fricking ships transfer. I know especially OP (UlaVii) has worked his *** off trying to keep ToFN going, but with almost everyone leaving there's really not much left there. I'd be surprised if the amount of people playing there are even 1/20th of the population of servers like TRE. Would make a lot of sense to merge the servers, as others have said it's one less server to keep up and running, and the increased population on another server wouldn't be massively bigger. Kee'lan
  18. Back in the day it didn't feel like such a long time, heck I even enjoyed playing every single side mission (which you pretty much had to), and not being able to quicktravel around all the time and stuff. Wasn't it like 15 minutes, WITH all the perks unlocked? Now it feels like such a hassle to do anything but the class missions lol
  19. The fact is that most fights, especially the SM ops where you'll find most baddies (either cause they can't pull numbers required for HM, or they can't work together in a group with others) are really lenient towards DPS. Healers and tanks have a way harder challenge, especially if a tank is badly geared/sucks, or a healer isn't performing well. People dying will first and foremost be blamed on the healers. Same with tanks taking too much damage, either they or the healers are being blamed. Yet nobody bats an eye at the sucky dps that is eating AOE's and doing ****** damage. Yet they're usually the ones complaining the loudest. But since there's usually at least 1 or 2 dps that know what they're doing, you won't really notice it. I don't think that most toxic players are dps, it's just easier for dps to yell and complain at healers and tanks, so it might be more obvious. Plus, as has been said before, dps are way more common compared to tanks and healers because it's the easiest role to fill. Hence why it might look like they complain the most (which is statistically speaking true). Lots of people can do the 3k (or whatever is required per dps on sm bosses), not many can pull let's say 5 or 6. People that don't do well at tanking/healing just go dps and get carried by the rest.
  20. You probably will be done in 30 minutes anyways /shotsfired
  21. Sometimes you have a relic proc that's about to run out, or adrenal, or target aquired, etc. Using snap shot to get the snipe/lethal shot within that window will increase your dps. If you channel it it falls outside of the proc window, and therefore doing lower base damage. Keeping an eye on those procs/offensive cd's is vital to get the most out of a parse.
  22. How does it hurt me if someone who I don't even know, and have never played with in-game, decides to drop real money on CC's to change his AC?
  23. I'll be speaking from a PVE standpoint here. Even in the lower parsing Marksmanship spec, you'll still be able to provide sufficient dps. I'd go virulence or engi, as you've been playing yourself, I'd suggest taking up virulence for starters to really get to know the class and its many assets to a raid. If you can manage engi, good for you, but it's the hardest of the 3 specs to start of with as a sniper. Being specced into ballistic dampers and siege bunkers is massive. As a personal preference I love snap-shot as well, because it gives you some more movement. Once you know certain fights, you can pretty much avoid 90% of incoming aoe damage. Couple that with evasion and roll, and you can negate tons of big hits. The big sniper shield is a great way to help your healers manage with big damage phases. Ofcourse you got shield probe as well, use that to avoid incoming damage as well. A large part of playing a sniper, or any class for that matter, is raid awareness. Others have pointed this out as well. You can easily be that top guy on the dps leaderboards, but what good is that if you keep dying, or keep taking a ton of damage to the point where a healer has a full-time job keeping just YOU alive? Being a sniper you should probably take the least amount of damage out of any dps/healer, if you play it right. As a sniper you got great raid utility, and great defensive cooldowns. Couple that with some high dps potential, and you got one of the best classes in-game at the moment!
