  1. Your so wrong. Our survivability is increased right now because of the fact that our teamates can help stun. Even with a caster only bubble stun will will be shredded again quickly.
  2. OP the big three that killed the sorc class as someone who was played insanely way to much sorc. 1: Wrath Proc on Chain Lightning. Completely devastated the dps specs. Dots tick far to slow to matter. 2: Force Bending bug fix. Yes its a bug fix but yes it hurt. I can't tell you how many times now I get off a dark infusion off to only see it disappear and then some by only 1 dps'er. Being able to double dip would be fantastic these days. 3: Force power for health always having a health penalty. Did great things for PvE...***** our longevity in PvP. Makes AOE heal worthless which was one of our strongest heals. These combined with the rise of sizeable dps buffs to marauders, smash juggs, powertechs, snipers have severely hurt our class.

  4. Since your deionized you can throw it on your friends and they can run in and click it off to stun when your getting boofooed by melee. Since people like tank juggs hardly get focused first yes it is beneficial to sacrifice the absorb effect.
  5. Exactly, which is what made the bubble good. Go ahead and keep misunderstanding what made the bubble stun good which is that it didn't fill resolve much and kept the melee train off of people.
  6. Meh it would be better imo if Force Lightning proc'ed it. Since that is 90% our go to spam move when dots/other **** is on cooldown.

  10. Well with all the changes to lightning in 1.4 I really think I'm going to have to give it a very serious try. The amount of damage we can do with DOT's is directly related to the survivability of the other team. Our opponents stay alive a long time, then our dots tick for full duration and our damage looks pretty on the score board.
  11. As Time to Kill decreases (burst gets more powerful) our dots become more and more meaningless. They don't tick for full duration on the target (never really did anyway) and yes we are effectively becoming more and more worthless.
  12. Pretty sure you have to have Fadeout speced for the immunity on force speed. Which is deep in Corruption.
  13. Are you even remotely serious...the sorc/sage knockback nerf was needed....
  14. MADNESS 1) Madness dots doing same damage in half the time. No fight lasts 20 seconds + and they are zero threat right now so no one even cleanses them. 2) Force sprint that removes roots (not stuns) and makes immune to leap/snares/roots for duration of sprint w/o having to spec into it... 3) Increased range or decreased leap range for melee. 30 meters gap closers are *********** ridiculous. ZERO skill involved and completely unable to kite. LIGHTNING 1) Shorter cast times. Unviable for PvP with such long cast times. 2) Proc chances way to low. This build has amazing burst but its way to random to get a Force Storm proc let alone the proc at the same time as lightning barrage for the TB>CL>FL Death combo of doom...(or something like that). 3) Mana Issues. CORRUPTION 1) More options for viability (roots, etc.) 2) Cast times SOOO long. (May be less of an issue w/ the new heal coming out). 3) Consumption is a *********** DUMB RETARD mechanic for a healer in a ranked warzone.

  16. I agree with all but e) It isnt a nerf...but it isnt a buff either. Healers got helped out quite a bit. Corruption got jack which was the go to pvp dps spec (even for ones doing hybrid like myself put the majority of points into this). I still think people are crazy to go heavy lightning even with the changes to polarity and such. Cast times are still wayyy to long. Chain lightning is unpredictable in both proc chance and in terms of who it hits. I'm going to personally start messing around with the lightning tree when the patch comes out but I seriously dont think anything great is going to come from it.
  17. Well its true we don't know much about the new heal, but I really dont think it looked that powerful (output) wise from the video. Having an instant cast heal IS an improvment but let me put something in perspective for you. Even on critical hit if it would heal for ~5k. That is only 1 to 2 hits depending on the class that is hitting your target. At 30 seconds this only improves survivability by 1.5-3 seconds (global cooldowns) in a worse cast scenario. THAT is pretty garbage. At a best case scenario it buys you that extra time to receive help from your teamates or maybe finish the lockout duration on your bubble. Honestly not that impressed (from the video) anyway and I kind of disagree with the strength of the heal. Perhaps I am wrong and when we get the spell its actually very useful, but I am just not buying it atm. /shrug

I have a 2000+ Rated Sorc that has DPS and Healing War Hero gear, a 2000+ rated Operative (ON A DIFFERENT SERVER W/ DIFFERENT GUILD), a War Hero geared mercenary, a almost complete war hero geared vanguard, and a war hero geared marauder. I can say that in my honest opinion Sorcs are the 2nd worst DPS option and the worst healer option for pvp. DPS lacks burst, DOTS are terrible because their damage breaks mez's and they last so long (20 seconds+) so not using your dots hurts your damage when a mez is being called for. The Lightning tree is terrible for PvP. Cast times are way to long. Proc chance on Chain lightning is not high enough, and again chain lightning can and will break mez's. Healing sorcs have to long of cast times. Only 1 instant cast heal which makes them extremely easy to chain interupt. Their good defensive talents (rooted knockback and blind on bubble break) are to far into the lightning tree which makes sorcs lose their AOE heal which is the ONLY advantage that sorcs have over the other two healers. Sorcs also have the only resource management system that damages them on use. Just brilliant. Something DOES need to be done about the sorc, the nerfs were way to severe and sorcs are not in a good place.
  19. Yep this is really the only spec viable in high rated ranked warzones. It still requires you to not be retarded and you must have communication w/ your team to ensure dots are lingering before a mez bomb goes off. Chain lightning is terrible no other way to put it. Its damage is pathetic (yes pathetic) and it has to low of a proc chance for instant cast. Its not a good skill in pvp. Use affliction and force lightning to get your lightning barrage and wrath procs, use crushing darkness with wrath. When using recklessness use force lightning for the first charge then Death field on the second so you dont consume both charges by using death field first. Keep death field on cooldown its important. Dont use lightning strike unless you get another wrath proc VERY shortly after applying crushing darkness.
  20. it healed for like 1100 which scaled up to 50 pvp puts it at around 2000 as my estimate based on what his dark infusions going for 3.4k that would be my roughish estimate and with a 30 second cooldown it isnt going to do ****. Its better than nothing though.
  21. That will happen no matter what. Rage Juggs and their equivilant do not need to stack crit or main stat. They can stack all power and surge and b/c of their rotation sweep/smash will auto crit every time which can occur every 12 seconds. As a result their surge is extremely high and their power is extremely high so their force crits will hit that hard no matter what. Your best defense is to learn to watch their stacks and when it gets to 4 you know smash/sweep is coming next so cc/ get the **** out of there.
  22. Well this is funny because coming from a top rated sorceress and having a 50 Marauder and Vangaurd I can say w/o a doubt that they are over powered. The defensive cooldowns on a marauder are a absolute dream and the brust damage of a vanguard is draw droppingly simple w/ 3 buttons. In fact i've been told multiple times by my guild that when server xfers come i need to get an alt on my server.
  23. Its a new gear tier that is aimed at providing a lot of expertise to help newer players and fits in below battlemaster gear. It can be obtained once hitting 50 by talking to the pvp terminal where you get your daily quest.
  24. Our damage as a DPS sorc is decent at best and the problem is we are to squishy and our dots can break mez's because they last to long in rated. Sorc is not a good option as dps in rated games.
