  1. This is actually the first MMO in which I have not played on a PvP server, but I find the PvPers on my server to be quite skilled, and far more respectful and respectable than most of the players on any PvP server in any game I have played. Maybe it's just my server and I got lucky.
  2. Quote: Originally Posted by DarthOvertone Interesting. According to the Server list, Mind Trick is a PvE Server. I therefore change my assessment of what the OP said completely. It is likely true that the carebears on that PvE server do indeed play like garbage in PvP; quit, AFK, dance around, keyboard turn, click skills, and roleplay during WZs. It's a PvE server. I would expect nothing less than the worst possible behavior and gameplay when these players PvP Can you tell me what the difference between a pvp and pve server is in this game? There isn't one because factions are kept so seperate in the differenty planets, you cannot attack the home planet or Fleet of either faction, and open world pvp just plain doesn't happen. I rolled PvE server to play with some friends, and when they never showed decided to check out pvp servers to reroll on, after checking them out I found absolutely no incentive to do so, as there isn't any open world pvp in this game. Denying someone credibility based on the fact they play a PvE server is rediculous in SWToR.
  3. sages ate the same nerfs sorc's did, idk why you missed it in the patch notes. I find Sorc healing to be far more fun post 1.2, it actually takes a half a brain now to maintain force in pve, and in pvp you need to pillar hug all the time or die. orc healing is in line with other healers now, and tbh I don't see the healing issues in pvp that many are upset about, guard + inteligent heals = win.
  4. After reading some of the OP's other forum posts it appears he just refuses to play the class any way but Hybrid, as stated in this thread already relying on bugs to force the class to fit his own desires You are def bad if you need to rely on exploiting bugged mechanics to get your e-rection going
  5. After reading all posts the OP seems to be the one who is useless and being carried. He even states he cannot do anything post 1.2, so obviously he isn't contributing to his teams at all. If you can't adapt to changes reroll or find a new game. Pre 1.2 I played Hybrid for less than a week, it didn't suit my playstyle and I actually did far worse with it than as a full madness spec. The downfall of 31 madness is dispells by aware healers, however if you keep dotting and their heals need to dispell their entire team constantly you are adding something. You are locking out their heals the same way a mara who gets in a healers face does. As to 31 pt anything isn't vaible and anyone who plays 31pt specs is a noob, guess I am a noob. I play either 31pt madness or 31pt corruption and do fine as either spec. My heals are usually 300k+, with very few revivs down although they have their uses in aoe heavy fights which is why I do spec the full corruption tree. For 31pt madness CT adds a lot to both playstyle AND survivability. that short root can destroy a ball carrier in huttbal, buy a teamate the last couple seconds needed to cap an objective, or add another DoT that needs dispelling to keep healers busy. How are they not viable? Are we squishy? yes. Any more so than other classes? Not really with the TTK post 1.2 . If I have 1-3 dps on me I can kite/LoS/run and usually survive fine while keeping them occupied until help arrives. more than three dps I will die just like anyone else, except maybe a mara for a whopping 5sec immunity, and they will die as soon as that's down as well. It sounds to me like you want the class to be something it's not, and that's where your issues lie. Roll a pure dps class if you want to see your e-peens numbers rolling over someone's head, otherwise play a sorc in the way it is intended, as support and aoe pressure.
  6. Funny, I only die that fast if I am focused by multiple dps only classes(mara/sniper and rep mirror ac's), and anyone will melt under 4 sets of double glowstix so that isn't a light armor issue. Learn kiting, movement, use of terrain, LoS, all the things that people talk about on the forums are not magical places you visit through a wardrobe, they are simple to use techniques to survive.
  7. also to word it a bit more clearly how could they "steal" 2000 wz coms when the cap was 1000?
  8. You have got to be kidding. The wz coms would have gone to waste, because the cap was 1000 pre-1.2. If you didnt have anything you wanted to buy with them you were lucky they allowed merc coms to convert after the patch and have that extra 1000 wz coms. How can you ask them to give you something(2000wz coms) which was not even possible in the time period you are refering to, as it would again, exceed the cap on wz coms pre 1.2 grow up, man up, and be thankful you got a 1000 wz com gain out of the deal.
  9. Bracket: 50 Imperial Class: Sorcerer Spec: Heals Gearing/Valor: Valor 64, full BM gear, 2pc Mystic, 3pc Master Que: 95% solo ques Win Ratio: Approx 65%(often higher if I only que when I know the decent imps on server are online, but for this thread purpose I'll count all time periods) Runtimes: Most often 10 min or less
  10. the difference between BM and WH is negligable when compared to team cohesion and strategy.
  11. OP, thank you for an informative post that most will ignore. As someone who ques solo and heals I have not experienced this ttk issue that so many are QQing about. Sure, when 4 dps focus me I die, why shouldn't I? When a mara or sent decides to focus me on their own, they may succeed in shutting me down as far as filling my role in a fight but they sure as hell don't "kill me in 3-4 GCD's." Eventually, yes they will kill me if I don't get some help and the mara/sent is skilled. I can call for help, kite them into the group, pull a dps or better yet a tank to me that can deal with them, or I can let them kill me, die, and run here to cry about ttk and op classes. The balance is fine, people need to understand the new expertise changes and stop queing in their l33t raid gear, new 50's need to not be cheap and buy their recruit gear, and people need to realize that pvp no linger involves a healer tanking an entire 8 man ops group like a raid boss while the other 7 members of their team deal with objectives.
  12. I respeced heals for ops this week, and went into wz's as a healing sorc without having done so in quite a while. 90% of our matches we won, and in all but 1 I easily broke 300k in healing done, effective healing not simply dropping reviv every time it was up on the scrubs who stand in aoe's. I was able to keep myself alive long enough to stall advances, kite a sent around who stuck to me like glue, and very few times did I watch the player I was healing die. Ofc if the other team focus firs one player they will drop, and healing should not be a viable counter to that. Prior to actually playing heals I was on the side of the QQ'ers about the healing changes, now that I have played a healer in pvp post changes I have to say it is fine.
  13. Again OP, I have not seen you answer the question of why raiding should allow progression gearing in order to succeed at their next level of end game and pvp should not. Please, explain why one segment is more deserving of reward vs time and one isn't?
  14. Let's get rid of all gear, all of it, pve included. Let's get rid of raids. Let's make all encounters rock, paper, scissors. I bet THAT game succeeds.
  15. That is not what he is saying. Do you allow people with pure utility pvp builds in you progresssion raids? No. Why should you be allowed to take a useless build into a wz?
