  1. Both of the belts from the reward tract of PVP season 1 show as being distorted to other players. It has been described to me as looking like my toon is wearing a sail or a tent. It only looks bugged for everyone seeing my character, for me it looks ok. I'd like to use the belt because I think it looks cool but don't want to troll everyone else with a distorted mess.
  2. Anecdotally, since I haven't been tracking specific warzones but Huttball feels like the worst. Even when you win most of the team will not get close to 8 medals unless it's a really one sided high scoring match. Arenas feel very biased towards the winner. If you win you get a lot of medals, I typically get 10-15 on a win. Losses however, 0 medals as happened more than once and 3-4 seems like the norm. What helps a lot in arenas are the team medals like first kill, win a round etc that everyone gets. This is very lacking in warzones where all the medals outside of speed of victory are individual based. This is particularly frustrating when playing a non stealth dps and all you can really do is kill the opposition and throw in some timely CC to help with caps. That play style is not conducive to getting medals even when it is contributing to the win. An example would be controlling the ball spawn point in Huttball, really helps your team but you'll get no rewards for doing so. Some data just because I have it. (Really hope Bioware has better data because the initial question seems odd. I'd expect them to know the answer to the OP question from internal metrics). Level 80 Warzones and Arenas playing a Jugg/Guardian Vig/Ven with same gear. Note this a DPS spec but I have and use TAUNT for protection medals, which isn't available to all dps. Warzones = 94 Win% = 55.3 Medals = 630 Avg = 6.7/wz Arenas = 63 Win% = 44.4 Medals = 431 Avg = 6.8/arena I average more medals per game in Arenas even with a much lower winrate. I think a win rate of 55% in warzones should equate to at least an average medals per game of 8+. I want to stress again I have access to protection medals which other dps don't have access to so my numbers maybe higher than what is typical for a dps . Medals in warzone definitely need rebalancing and I personally would like to see team medals added similar to Arenas.
  3. I had both a PVP and a MM FP crate disappear today. I was wearing all 326 except for offhand which was 324.
  4. Esseles is the republic low level FP this week. So basically if a low level is in queue you'll get that. The longest most conversation heavy FP in game. What makes it even worse is that either my groups aren't pressing spacebar or it's bugged for skipping. My one and a half runs today each conversation as taken the maximum amount of time. Finally you need all FP selected in the group finder to progress the weekly so can't avoid it. This is a bad experience for endgame players who want to blast through content to gear and low level players who are going to see people abandon the flashpoint out of frustration. The list should have more choices and spread over a range of levels. Not just 7 total with one low and six 50+. Bioware with their decisions are sucking all the fun out of the game for me.
  5. I feel like Mek Sha is broken graphically, Doing some testing I can max out my GPU on Low settings in some spots. If I travel to say Corellia I need to go to the High preset to achieve that. I usually run High with some things turn off or down to get a good looking game with good performance but with Mek-Sha I need to run Very Low for good performance or Low for reasonable performance moderate looks.
  6. The colour of the gear is based on its item rating. The item rating of the gear that drops is based on the item rating you're wearing at the time. Gold gear is item rating 300+. You're only getting greens because your item rating is less than 274. The other guy was probably 306 and so getting almost only golds
  7. I ran 10+ vet mode flashpoints on the latest PTS phase 3 build and not a single set piece or tactical item dropped from the last boss. All runs were in a group of 4.
  8. I sent a mix of DPS and tank 306 gear to my DPS and ran Hammer Station. The drops I got were 298+ DPS gear. However, spending tech fragments on the vendor resulted in 306 DPS gear with the exception of weapons which were filled with random mods.
  9. I ran Hammer Station in a group a few times in 304-306 gear and got what I needed to complete a full set of 306 gear. I didn't keep detailed records but I think about 20% of the drops were 306. Then later I ran VM Hammer Station solo in full 306 gear and got nothing but trash, almost everything that dropped was 300 or less. I can only conclude after 2hours of play that either:- a) Gear drops for an iLvl 306 player are broken b) Doing group content solo results in nerfed drops to stop farming. c) The more content you run in a day the worse your drops are to slow down the gearing of binge players.
  10. I just logged in to test the new PTS and my item rating is broken further investigation reveals that my weapons are now empty 0 iLevel shells.
  11. My thoughts are that the latest iteration of gearing is a big improvement on the first version and I look forward to testing it next week. My one suggestion based on the original post is regarding the focused gearing with conquests and flashpoints. Since conquests will only drop two items per character a week, the loot table seems to have a lot of sets. I'm not sure conquest rewards are a good fit for multiple sets since it's going to take a lot of weeks to complete a set with conquests. Flashpoints have a large number of tacticals but since traditionally they were an entry point for operations I'd like the number of sets available expanded to include a generic tank, heal and, DPS set. This would give tanks and healers a reason to queue and get their first set bonus before moving onto operations. Plus flashpoints can be run many times and are therefore more suited to the larger loot table that sets bring.
  12. The primary source of gear will be doing content. The primary source of gear you want to equip will be converting the gear you're got through content into currency and buying specific items from vendors.
  13. Some Items are 2500 and some are 3000 with no obvious logic as to why the difference. I think 2500 is fine as a price if Zyken is selling for 1500 since they're one time purchases. Gearing at 306 is in my view broken, I did a Hammer Station and was getting drops as low as 302 and disintegrated everything I didn't even get a single 306 mod of any type. Being able to get moddable set bonus pieces is great but only if it's possible to get the mods to fill them. Buying the boxes from the vendor with my tech fragments as a Jugg tank I got armourings and mods which were tank versions so that seems to be working. I didn't get any enhancements but I did get a barrel. Note one box is the equivalent of 2 Hammer Station runs in tech fragments and the minimum number slots to fill for a 6 piece is 16 perfect rolls, so 32 runs minimum if you're really lucky? Is it intentional that it's so difficult to get mods? What will be the primary source of mods be in 6.0? With the sheer number of variations, I would have expected them to be a lot more common than they currently are on PTS. I hope we see a full implementation of the loot system including heroics, daily areas, operations etc. since the limited number of sources of gear isn't giving a true reflection of the complete gearing experience.
  14. The latest patch makes it relatively easy to to get to 306. I finished off a toon I started last week and being able to get the last few pieces with guaranteed boxes from the vendor saved me from the frustration of getting that last piece. I then started from scratch with a 268 toon and got up to 282 in 3hours of solo VM Hammertime so I think 10hours to be a reasonable guess to how long it would take me to get to 306. Things I'd like to see changed:- Loot drops at 306 are bad, most of the gear is lower than 306 and at this point, all I want is to update my set bonus armour with armourings, mods, etc. which don't seem to drop and when they do they're not 306. The loot box on the vendor that contains armourings and mods only contains one item, it used to have 4 different items. This needs to be cheaper or go back to 3-4 items. The UI needs an update, once you get to 306 regular pieces and set bonus pieces look identical in the inventory and since deconstructing items is such a common task there needs to be a clear distinction. I'd suggest adding the old legacy icon to set bonus pieces for the sake of clarity.
  15. I ran a lot of Hammer Stations (50+) and the only thing I didn't like was the lack of set-piece drops or useable Tacticals. I only acquired 4 set-piece items and 6 Tacticals none of which I could use. The set-piece items were also useless since mods weren't dropping frequently enough to keep the gear up to date. During my play, I went from item level 258 to 282 which I'm okay with given that I'll only need to do the grind once. I also earned around 35 Renown crates which seemed to be a reasonable rate once I realised that Renown XP was a combination of CXP and regular XP so that legacy FP XP perks and some old FP XP boosts stacked with RXP boosts. The R-crates contain pretty much garbage and if the same RNG numbers are used for the vendor crates I can understand the frustration of others. Of the 30+ I opened I think I used maybe 3 or 4 pieces and claimed the rest to scrap for Tech fragments. The R-Crates themselves could use more loot in them, I'd like to see XP boosts and companion gifts. I think that general set bonus items and tacticals should be easier to acquire. I'd also like to see more hilts/mods/etc. drop so that I can use my expensive mainhand and not some random drop that I need to have equipped to keep my gear level up to ensure I get better drops. The gear crates you can buy from the vendor are trash and after opening 4 I decided it was better to grind Hammer Station where loot was more consistently an upgrade and therefore useful, saving Tech frags for Kai purchases. the vendor crates need to at least give loot relevant to your class if not your spec. I needed a main hand early and my Jugg got a blaster rifle. Last it would have been helpful to have a more detailed description of how the system works. I wasted time initially by not equipping gear as soon as possible and thereby not getting better drops sooner. The system felt really slow at the start. If you have an inventory of freshly dropped 272's and you're still wearing 270s then you miss out on possible 274s once I figured this out then things speeded up and I actually enjoyed seeing my character incrementally improve all the time. I'm curious how things are when you get closer to max rating. Do set pieces become more frequent?
  16. Okay, this really confused me since I have no idea what door you're talking about, so I went in solo to have a look. If you can't get into the map section the Landing Pad, did you kill the boss the Interrogator (floating droid that spawns copies of players)? Behind that boss is a small room with a console on the right side that you click on. I've always clicked on that and never had an issue getting to the landing pad so maybe it opens the door blocking you, which I've never seen.
  17. Ran through veteran Hammer Station solo again without a companion and it was noticeably more difficult than before. I did think that the trash mobs were harder than the bosses, which to some extent has always been the case with this flashpoint.
  18. I did Veteran Hammer Station on a iLevel 306 Madness Sorc no augments First run with Lana as healing companion (influence level 1) was very easy to the point that on the last boss I went AFK for 2 mins to answer the phone, came back with full health. Second run I did solo relying on self heals, this time I had to pay attention but it was still easy. I don't think I should be able to solo a veteran flashpoint without a companion. Live has tougher heroics than PTS Hammer station in its current state.
  19. Do we need another map? If yes then design it with performance in mind and don't make it super pretty. Don't add extra screen clutter that interferes with the camera view. If you really want to do another PVP map then do an 8v8 Deathmatch. It's the one mode missing and would get more use than another arena.
  20. I agree that the tougher ones need to be gated behind at least requiring to be level 50 And if Nathema, Copera and Umbara are in the general queuable list then Kaon and Lost Island should be added as well. I think a random group has more chance of finishing vet LI than Nathema, especially given how gutted LI is compared to launch.
  21. well I'm the idiot who on logging in when the servers came up spam clicked a bay and half of saved cxp clickables before realising double rewards wasn't running.
  22. ESO has a similar system for crafting materials. It's a sub perk and is probably the number one reason people sub to the game so I think a SWOTR version would be a very popular QoL improvement.
  23. I guess that decorating my strongholds before the merge was a waste of time. I have four strongholds at 100% but only a 50% bonus. (Kaas, and Coruscant) x 2 Checking my other server I have 3x 100% + a 30% , 70% and 82% but only a 75% bonus, again duplicate strongholds.
  24. They chose East over West to so that if they close the EU data center sometime in the future the remaining data center is in a central location for a majority of the games population. I'm in the UK and the east coast servers are a very playable 95-130ms for me.
