  1. Not gonna leave a long drawn out list of complaints, they have all been said better by others. Really I was willing to overlook almost all issues but the only reason I play MMO's is for the community and no server forums killed that. I guess a star wars mmo in my lifetime just isn't ment to be. Good luck to all of you that stick it out hope you find something to enjoy.
  2. They won't give server forums because it would show just how dead some of the servers are.
  3. OP is right, everyone else just mad at hard truths. They should just drop Repub and let empire play against each other in all 3 warzones.
  4. You basically went into detail every issue I have had with the game, well done OP. 11/10 would read again.
  5. Cannot enter ship, just frozen with a golden chat box, tried logging does nothing, its not just me.....
  6. Holy crap why does this thread have 74 pages...? What a waste, if you people would get half was worked up about screwing us on server forums maybe something would have been done about it.
  7. It's true, I have ran about 5 alts through korriban alone and each time even doing the heroics you get exactly 7 badges, 6 from missions and one random drop. Doing every single quest on the planet. Yet I roll my first republic alt the other day and I had about 12 badges by the time I left. Although I guess its a small thing to complain about considering all the other advantages Imps have.
  8. You should hire this guy to balance your game BW he clearly is a font of knowledge.
  9. They already said all legacy does is give you abilities earlier and little ****** perks to make leveling alts faster. If you are expecting to play a wookie then prepare for disappointment.
  10. I haven't fully researched this but I was playing under the general assumption that progress in this game worked like it did in most previous mmo's. You leveled > hit 50 > instances + crafting > 8 man raid > 16 man raid. With each tier giving better gear and having the more fulfilling/complex boss fights. However a conversation in my guild chat today seems to turn that idea on its head. It started off innocently asking about the new flashpoint and what level gear it was. I hadn't looked into it and didn't know if it was a level 50 instance or a lower level one. That segued into talking about raiding and flashpoints. What i got from my guild is that hard mode 4 man flashpoints (instances from wow) gave the same gear that you got in 8/16 raids. This was rather shocking to me, how can you have the exact same gear drops from a 4 man pugable instance as you get from an 8 or 16 man group downing much larger content? If this is the case why would you even do a raid? Why go with 16 other players increasing the risk/reward and lowering the chance for loot coming to you if you can do it with any 4 players and have a much higher chance at landing gear for yourself and easier content to boot? I hope this was just explained or misunderstood because as it was explained to me it really derails any point of high level content. Thanks for anyone who can clear this up for me.
  11. This item in question , http://www.torhead.com/item/dbjKkbO It is a random world drop purple lightsaber, I got one, but noticed unlike the linked item it didn't have a hilt slot, just mod, enhance and color crystal. Are there different versions of items? Someone in game said that purple lightsabers have built in hilts that automatically upgrade, this sounded kind of fishy to me though. Its such a sweet looking item but without a hilt slot seems like its pointless to use past the teens. Can anyone shed some light onto this?
  12. I have no problems when I am solo but when I enter pvp or the fleet my fps drops to 10 or below, it makes it much more difficult to compete. A large part of it is my computer I know that but atm I can't afford to upgrade, so I have been researching trying to find ways to improve it. I saw one post on here somewhere where someone claimed that lowering their ingame resolution helped a lot. I hadn't really thought of that before I just always set it to the highest possible setting. I have a 24inch widescreen monitor and have always had it set at 1920x1080, in game the same. But then I went ingame and asked my guild about it (I always like to get information from multiple sources before I make any changes to my computer). And I kind of started a war, one guy was claiming lowering my res would actually hurt my fps and make my gpu work harder? Then another one said that was junk but neither one could back it up with any facts. Would love to hear some insight on this, would lowering my res make a difference? If so what is the lowest acceptable res that still makes the game enjoyable but gives the most performance boost? They were also saying that I had to keep my res ingame to the native res of my monitor but honestly I'm not quite sure what that means. Thanks for any advice.
  13. World pvp hasn't been a real thing since the early days of vanilla wow. No one cares about world pvp because the games that have created since have all but shunned it. Please do not try to build it up as something that it is not, I already see so many posts talking about your vaunted world pvp and how it is just a base trade for quest fulfillment. As much as I would love to have a game that allows spontanious pvp we all know that is a thing of the past. PvP servers thrived by the competition and bragging rights of defeating the enemy in battle. Epic struggles between pvp guilds in the arena or raiding the enemies towns. Posting about it on the server forums and allowing people to show off the best and worst parts of the human condition. Same server pvp may have made for slightly longer queues but it ment you might actually know the players you were up against. This made it all the more satisfying when you fought them and were able to talk about it after. When cross server pvp was brought into the picture suddenly you had no idea who you were playing with or against, everyone because a faceless name, just another set of pixels to blow up. If implemented this will be another massive blow to an already crippled community. But as I said, without server forums the point is pretty much moot. I really wanted to love this game, I tried, but all I am left with is sadness.
  14. Again you failed to even read my post and are simply commenting on the topic. I never made any mention of problems grouping. I simply stated that BW has shown that it has no interest in a strong thriving community and it will be the ultimate downfall of the game. I am not comparing it to any other game in fact I hope it stays away from WoW in that aspect. Cross server pvp took away a huge part of the community of wow and is generally agreed to have been a bad thing. However, coupled with the lack of server forums I guess it doesn't really matter, since without them closed realm pvp has no meaning. But please, don't let me stop you from trolling away, the days of rational discussion online ended a long time ago.
  15. Lol @ everyone, from your responses I take it not a single one of you even read my post. "You have never spent 60$ before?..." : +15 dollars a month??
  16. Most expensive single player game I have ever bought, but thanks for trying BW. Just came across this quote from one of your people. "Cross-server queuing for PvP is something that the development team wants to happen." Along with no server forums this is the nail in the coffin on the mmo community. You have clearly shown that you have no knowledge of what keeps an mmo going for years, it is not fancy raids or cool gear or even good story. It is COMMUNITY, and you have forsaken it for the last time. I will keep playing your game because it is fun and I love star wars. But the day you bring this change to the game I will not play another minute. I had hopes that this would be the game that I could find a home at for many years to come. But it has become clear now that this is just a short stopping point along the way to true innovation.
  17. How about an event where you reveal the server forums and apologize for abusing your customers?
  18. Level 24, done pure MM so far, the big ambush crits are fun but ive been getting more and more downtime for each level and I know things only get harder post 30. Wondering if there is a build that utilizes the other two trees that is better for pure solo leveling. Thanks for any info.
  19. Your friend obviously does not know you well enough to be making video game reccomendations for you.
  20. Just saw a preview of guild wars 2, have to say it piqued my interest. I haven't checked but I bet they will have server forums. Another day of sadness... I guess it's just not possible for a sci fi mmo to succeed.
  21. I always knew in the back of my mind that the body types were pretty bad but I never realized how bad until I saw your photoshop. Too bad they didn't hire you
