  1. Thank you! I appreciate the link! My aunt was like a mother to me. When I was young social services took me from my mother and step father (My parents are divorced) after the school grew suspicious of my welts, bruises etc on me. My grandparents and aunt invited me to live with them because social services wouldn't let me and my brother stay with my mom anymore. I've lived in this house since I was 13 (I'm 26 now). My grandparents passed away years ago. My grandfather "Red" passed away and 5 days later my Grandmother Dora passed away. It was really hard dealing with that kind of loss. I never expected my aunt to be the one to go next.. My aunt is a huge health nut and has worked for 25+ years as a nurse. She went to church and did so much for our community. Everyone knew her. She was my "Mom" in a sense. I don't really see my real mother. Jane always took care of me and my brother and insured we always had food on the table and she would buy us clothes and things (My father wasn't able to do this because he is mentally ill and unable to work. That's why he lived with his mother/father and sister). My aunt lived with her parents. She moved in so she could take care of them. Really scary when life hits you like that and I can't imagine losing a father. My dad is really important to me.
  2. Thanks! Fortunately I have a few days left so I can post and still enjoy SWTOR. I appreciate all the kind words from you guys! ♥
  3. I wanted to thank everyone (especially the community) for giving me the chance to completely enjoy SWTOR. I fully enjoyed my time in the universe fighting the good fight as both Empire and Republic. I received SWTOR as a Christmas gift from a family member, along with money for a month of game play. I really enjoyed SWTOR and was immersed in the game quite rapidly. Sadly, I'm having a lot of issues right now. I'm transitioning from one house to an apartment and I will be unable to play SWTOR for a while, if ever again. My aunt recently passed. I lived with her and my father. She passed away from Lymphoma, Brain and Lung Cancer. The house was left to my family and they wish to sell it. Fortunately my cousin was kind enough to pay for the bills so we have a place to live and not stuck in a car somewhere or on the street. It's a scary situation, and makes me realize all the things I take for granted. He's very kind in that he's paid for the heating, etc, though the Internet is being paid for by us. We're currently waiting for an apartment to open up, and I hope I get to return to SWTOR soon. I regrettably only made it to 30ish before I had to stop. Here's hoping I see you all in a Galaxy far away!
  4. If you're in a Flash Point with me, I never ask you or anyone else to skip scenes, regardless how many times I've seen them. It's rude.
  5. Some of your points definitely made sense to me; Especially the ability delay. Because you don't play Republic, you really have no idea how bad the delay is.. As for the PVP, I never really liked PvP. I'm shy around competitive gamers because I'm very bad at the game. I know enough to do raids, and lead them, but I don't like being relied upon against other human opponents. It's why I won't play any team-based game out there. That being said, I still haven't made it to 50 yet. I'm enjoying the Space missions and flash points. I feel like you should have touched up more on the game rather than just PvP. Especially since PVP is kinda "In its awkward phase" right now. Still trying to decide what it wants to be. I'd also like to point out that Operatives, etc are getting the nerf bat on the 31st, so maybe that'll help you. Not sure. Anyway, I enjoy SWtOR and I subscribed fo ra second month. My server is extremely low pop, but I've not had much trouble finding a group for flash points such as Athiss and Mandalorian Raiders.. A lot of people seem to complain about the "Instanced feel" of SWtOR too, but I never noticed that. I'm level 24 and still haven't even started on Taris yet.. I practically live in Flash Points, but from what I've noticed so far, the worlds feel pretty alive, and I hear Republic is the under dog with population.. Not sure how that is on my server. My opinion is still pretty moot considering I'm not 50, but I wanted to share it none-the-less. Also, I don't like the Star Wars Universe. I never did. Just wanted to play the game because it was Bioware and I thought I'd give it a shot ^-^ ♥
  6. Anything that is marked "HEROIC" is repeatable. Whether it's Heroic 2 or Heroic 4
  7. There's a post about this elsewhere, but I'll reply with directions. -Enter the Space port and Immediately head to the docking bay. -Find the ramp near the elevators which leads up to a lone shipping box. There's only one ramp, so you can't miss it. -Look out towards the ships and space and you should see two slanted beams holding the catwalk up. They connect to the ceiling. They are quite small. -Walk up the beam closest to the ramp entrance/exit. Continue up the beam until the top half of your character goes through the roof. -You will get a message saying you discovered the space port. Hope this helps! I will happily include screenshots if you need more help.
  8. That's an entirely different issue, but one that needs to be looked at. AT least if you make product, you don't feel so burned because you can sell that product on the GTM. You can still Reverse Engineer it if you want some materials back, but finding the recipe would not longer REQUIRE you to RE it.
  9. This whole comment makes me want to face palm. It's like you want to condemn low level players to torment because they aren't level 50 and therefore don't have any product they can buy. The reason purples DO sell so well at low levels is because they're rarer than Spectral Tigers. Virtually nobody sells them because there's not a lot of reason to.
  10. Yes, but that excess product could go into the GTM. I don't know about you, but my GTM is dead to everyone except 50s. This isn't an economy. It's just plain wrong.
  11. And I can't figure out why this was included in the first place. Crafting is two-fold. To provide yourself and others with items and/or make a profit. Destroying items you create does not make the items rarer, it just makes artisans more frustrated. The Crafting system in this game is so RNG based that the last thing we need is people destroying perfectly good product for what.. A chance? It's non-sensical. Discoveries should be made when you create the product not by destroying the product. The result would drive people to create more items, and thus add more product to the Galactic Trade Market, more variety, and a more stable economy. It would also encourage people to craft more items in the low and mid-tiers. Destroying products to give you the magical blue recipe makes no sense. There is no return investment, except a very small amount of materials you put into the product (Which is also RNG based), leaving you in this perpetual circle of crafting, reverse engineering, and crafting just to unlock a recipe. Having that middle step is redundant and wastes effort, enforcing this "Mantra" that "Crafting is useless until 400" (Except for biochemists); and as of right now it is. Crafting is already overshadowed by Flash Points, Commendation vendors, etc. Why punish crafters more by asking them to destroy product that they spent a lot of time and effort in making? Shouldn't we be encouraging people to distribute their product? Not the other way around!
  12. You're level 43. You're in sort of the pseudo-minority. The biggest problem is crafting doesn't get good until those levels, so whatever opinion you have on the subject is biased. We need more crafting options in low-level and mid-level ranges to make crafting more appealing. Cheaper missions, better chance at rares and epic items, and higher Reverse engineer chances will make crafting more appealing to players rather than making them feel punished for picking a profession. People tend to avoid crafting of any kind because of the looming threat of a 48k price tag on a speeder. If we made crafting easier on low levels, it would be easier to make items you can use and it would help armor/weapon manufacturers who don't want to do flash points.
  13. The problem with crafting isn't that it's bad, it's that items are available that are better, or just as good as items you can create, unless you invest lots of money, time and effort in unlocking superior quality items or get a critical. For instance, a Weapon/Armor crafter will likely just do Flash points for gear as they are generally faster, and you will get the drops you need for much less money. In addition to the above, you have commendations you can earn from doing Flash Points and dailies that will let you buy mods that are just as good, if not better than anything you can craft, negating any benefit from making mods unless.. You guessed it.. You Reverse Engineer enough to unlock purple mods.. Crafting just isn't worth bothering with until you reach 400. There's no incentive to anyone to reverse engineer anything (Unless you are a Biochemist), except items they are creating to level their stuff, and even then the materials to create said items are too expensive or a pain in the butt to get. The result is a Galactic Trade Market with a bunch of items people are craving, but can't get because nobody can make them, or is willing to make and sell, because the profit in doing so is too low. Say for instance you have to do 25 Underworld missions to get that epic item you need to finally craft that piece of Armor. Let's assume you're around level 20, so those missions would be about 400-600 credits each. That's almost 4x the amount of money spent making the item as you would earn placing the item on the GTM. It just doesn't make sense.. The way the current system is set up, Biochemists benefit the most from putting effort into reverse engineering and actually MAKING items.
  14. I get the message, too, but I get skill ups just fine (Biochemist)
  15. On my server it's the opposite. I'm the only Light side player in my guild. I've only saved the general once XD
  16. Actually, Mortar Volley was the first thing I noticed was weird about playing Trooper. I thought it was lag on my part. Really don't like that Bounty Hunter's get instant death. I hope all this is fixed in 1.1, but from reading the patch notes it would appear it isn't.
  17. The Stun is being fixed in 1.1. I don't know about the rest.
  18. Can you elaborate on your response a bit? Are you saying the Empire classes are more unbalanced? To be honest, I felt the Trooper played exactly like the Bounty Hunter. The only difference was I didn't have to wait for 2 weapons to drop because Troopers use one big Auto cannon.
  19. I have a level 30 Bounty Hunter, and while I really love the Bounty Hunter Story line and companions, I just really hated the Empire. Because I foolishly picked a West coast server to snag a name I wanted, I was stuck in a world where I could only group at night and be alone during the day. (I'm East Coast). Getting tired of the forced "Wait, can I have credits first and THEN do it?" pigeon holed responses, I decided to see what the other side was like so I started a trooper. I immediately noticed some difference right from the start. First, the starter planet for Troopers is better, secondly.. Where is everyone? I was playing late at night, which would be prime time for West Coasters.. The Republic Trooper side was pretty much empty, though. I kinda felt like this was a issue with "Well, Troopers are nothing more than soldiers and Bounty Hunters are just cooler. They get Missiles, you get lousy grenades! You go around calling people sir, they go around pointing blasters in people's faces!" And for the most part they are right. The Trooper story line made me feel like I had no control over my character. I was forced to "Yes, Sir" in various different ways, which in reality isn't much different than the Bounty hunter "Credits Oh my god, Credits!" behavior so I learned to deal with it. I just assumed this was the reason the planet felt so barren. But I could go on all day about the differences, so it really isn't worth bringing that up. My issue is the grossly overpopulation of the Empire on some servers. To try and see if I could find a better outcome and a better place to work on, I started on a brand new server. The results were similar. Because I don't have the time or the Character slots available to start on every server to test which server is more balanced, I thought I'd ask the opinions of the user base here. Has anyone noticed their server is missing out on Republic players? Both my servers are "Standard" and they are already low populated as is.. The Galactic Trade market has no items in any Crafting Material Categories and very few equips to buy. The only way to snag gear is to do Flash Points, and I'm stuck doing Flash Points in the same group every time, because PuGing using the /who option is very difficult to do, but possible. I'm interested in hearing what some of you think and getting opinions on which servers are good for new players to start on and make friends. Anything advice is welcome. Thanks!
  20. I opened a ticket for Black Talon when I was around level 12 because I was getting a message saying the party leader needed to reset the instance even though we did.. many times.. I didn't get a reply until I was level 27.
  21. There's an option to allow you to compare armor with your currently active companion. Just flip the box to on in your options menu ^-^ ♥
  22. No, but should the Imperial Armor and Republic commando armor be Light armor? O.o
  23. This sounds like a huge exploit.. All the exploits in PVP is mostly why I've been avoiding it..
  24. I was happily leveling up my social tiers so I could use some of the social armor. As I was browsing some of the vendors I started noticing something.. While many of the Social armors are attractive or down right functional, they are.. Light Armor. After doing research it seems there are no medium or heavy armor variants of Social clothing. Even Social clothing that should be heavy or medium is light armor, leaving me scratching my head. I would just argue "Pfft.. It's social armor, it doesn't matter!" Except that all social armor is moddable, meaning it is functional in combat.. If the highest tier armor you can wear is light armor.. I want to enjoy the Social armor, but I'm a Bounty Hunter and need Heavy Armor. Will Medium and Heavy Armor users get some love or are we doomed to see Light Armor users enjoying it and nobody else?
