  1. He says he has problems with groups on Alderaan, and you throw in CC and AOE and speccing? He's not gonna understand that stuff, that's for sure! lol
  2. It is simple, just a little time consuming. Download Xpadder, and link up your controller. Then you simply click a button, and a white button will appear in the window. Place it where it would be on a controller, and then once you have all buttons on there, you simply go through and bind them to a certain key. Don't listen to all the haters, if you grow up and feel more comfortable on a controller, do it! I love playing this game with a controller. Here's how I have mine set up: Dpad has the - and = (where you would usually put a medpac or somthing, so its a quick use). Analog sticks will move and control camera, while X (1) Y (2) B (3) and A (space). Then you can set it so when you hold Left Trigger, X becomes (4), Y (5), B(6), A (7), and when you hold Right Trigger X (8) Y(9) B(0). It is actually really easy to use. Just have to read Xpadder's tutorial and it will walk you right through everything. Again, don't listen to the PC Elitists saying "Why would you ever do that. That's so dumb. Keyboard and mouse is so much better. Blah blah blah". Point is, you may feel more comfortable on a controller just as I do, so go for it! It works great for me, it should for you too! Fully customizable and everything!
  3. Its all good. I think the OP was thinking more along those kinds of lines than LFG and stuff like that. Just simple kind of ideas that would really make this more of a place you can live in. I agree with him completely, this game is really great when it comes to combat and missions (voice-overs are great, and it really feels like you're doing something more than just killing mobs until you've played for a while), but really lacks when it comes to being able to connect with other people and take a break from the fighting. Along LoTRO music idea, it would be cool to be able to do that in a cantina. Or play that football game you see on holograms in the prequels. Or bet on duels in some kind of arena, where you could spectate or join in (This betting idea could bleed into other things like swoop bike racing and the sort).
  4. No... As in Cantinas that are actually like cantinas. Or mini games that people can play together. Hell you could even go as simple as chairs where people can gather around a table and make it look more lively.
  5. Except even KoTOR had mini games like Pazaak and Swoop Bike racing, and MMO elements tend to be social elements as well as competitive. So no, they're not really wanting SWG, they simply want some social elements added into the mix instead of purely combat.
  6. Its actually a common problem, several people have reported this issue while having a damn nice rig
  7. Didn't read because the title says "tha" instead of "the"
  8. I think they just need a re-skin, and when/if they implement a 3D space idea, it will look really cool when you're flying in to dock. That alone would make me resub! Would be really cool to see all the people flying around the fleet, docking and leaving, with epic star wars music playing
  9. Unfortunately I'm unsubbed until they do server merges, and probably add their open space project that they're currently "working on" and will come "in the future" or I would definitely do it. So I'd say really try and find a casual guild, by the extremely small chance you're Republic on the Krath server, I could point you to a really fun casual guild who don't really do raids and stuff, they just help each other out and form groups for FP or Heroics.
  10. I would join this guild in an instant. My preference: Slammin shots of Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, or Jager Bombs! Pretty much shots of anything. Then when I'm smashed, I'll start in on the beers. During an all nighter, I can usually top off a bottle of Captain Mo, and a 12 pack by myself. But that's a terrible, terrible next day and I can barely talk by the end of it.
  11. My time ran out and I haven't resubbed, mostly due to low population and I'm waiting on a few other big adjustments to the game. That said, I was wondering how the transfers would work when it comes to people who aren't subbed but have many characters on a server. If my server is the one they're moving people off of (Most likely due to Republic side having less than 10 people on average, Imp having about 30 tops) to somewhere else, how do they handle the people who aren't subbed? Do they get transfered once the server closes, or will I eventually have to pay simply because I wasn't subbed when they transferred? I do plan on coming back, I simply don't know how to go about this. I don't want to resub only to get in on transfers unless they're gonna make me pay way later on when I actually do resub.
  12. The Video Game industry has to run itself, Military gets a massive amount of the total tax income of the whole country. Its not an industry that can sustain itself where consumers buy stuff. Also, Military pays for your college and you can get pretty much any job you want after being in it and putting it on your resume.
  13. They definitely don't owe anything. If you didn't want to re-roll (I didn't, I don't believe I should have to ditch all my 50s, and my alts, and my legacy for a mistake they made) then simply unsub and resub when they merge servers. I plan on keeping an eye on this game, and once they reform space and all me to fly my own ship and finish transfers, I will then rejoin gladly.
  14. Don't be that guy. He, and almost everyone who complains, has every reason to. Being ignored completely by BW, then given vague stuff like this, while BW keeps ignoring problems. Maybe we should all be like you and roll over, be happy with a sub-par game and never try and get the things changed that need to be.
