You can find them if you mouseover the News & Updates menu and the 4th item down gives you the patch notes. As far as I'm aware they aren't posted in the forums.

The Alderaan commendation vendor sells a few different pants that might be suitable for you. They're orange armor so you can mod them as you need. I have some for my Jedi Shadow - even though I play a female character I prefer the look of them.
