  1. Oh, you bought an MMO on launch day, randomly picked a server, powered multiple chars up to max level, and then realized your server was low pop? It sounds like you have never played an MMO before. You should probably wait a week or two before going HAM and blindly leveling characters to max level. On a less duck-headed note: Server x-fers are coming, of course they need to build more infrastructure for this. Copying a character is easy, deciding which servers get free transfers to where, when a server gets closed forever, what the website interface will look like, what to charge, how many x-fers to allow, prepping customer service to be inundated with complaints/questions/issues, hiring more people to do so.... that is much harder. Game development doesn't happen by flipping a switch, especially when it is a service based game.
  2. This fight is arguably easier with a melee heavy group. Melee dos behind the boss ensures the orbs always drop there. AoE heals on the group to counter any AoE dog. Being able to dos while moving is awesome in this fight. And finally, having a jump-to lets you safely move through the AoE. I find this fight most difficult when there is a mix of melee and ranged. The ranged can't plant their feet and fire, and the AoEs go everywhere. Having all ranged or all melee DPS makes the fight a rinse/repeater. Having a mix of melee/ranged DPS makes the fight a little more hectic.
  3. Because it takes time to make proper decisions. They tried a moderate fix, they didn't like the result. They now applied a heavier hand. This is how stuff gets done!
  4. But you go out of your way to make the thread... Show the numbers so we can actually have the discussion.
  5. I had the exact same problem. Got stalled on the keycard because a new member came into the group but couldn't use 2nd(?) elevator, and the mob which drops the item doesn't respawn. I understand the need for quest stages to prevent running others through a story area, but it's only a daily It would be great if the mob which drops the keycard would respawn.
  6. Seems lots of people are having some trouble on that boss. Though I do enjoy a solid challenge (and I'm glad we didn't roll the new HM FP), but we had the same issue. Mostly columi with crafted Rakata. Powertech tank Sorc Healer Assassin & Sniper dps Single tick of Incinerate channel on tank seems to take 1/3 - 1/2 my hp. I'm definitely avoiding the aoe and the floor. Of course we are interrupting Incinerate asap, and you can stop it consistently even with a 12s CD interrupt, but delaying the interrupt by a tick or, even worse, 2 ticks, can spell disaster in a moment. Again, I enjoy the challenge, but it was a bit jarring coming from the other HMs into this one.
  7. Because if an enrage will 2-shot a person, but you LoS the boss and chug medpacs, you can take 1-hit, LoS the boss, medpac, wait for medpac CD, repeat. This is just one example of how infinite medpac use *could* be used to exploit an encounter. Removing infinite medpacs just nips those issues in the bud.
  8. Richard: "Name a benefit of the Legacy Family Tree" Contestant: "Uhh, ummm, uhhh..... Fun!" Richard: "He says 'fun'. This is it for the Kelborne family. If 'fun' is on the board they're going home with the big bucks! Or else, they go home with nothing........Survey says.......'Fun'! The number one answer!" Contestant: "yay!"
  9. This is one of the worst threads on the PTS forum. This change just simply makes sense. Using multiple medpacs in a single encounter leaves the door open for LoSing bosses, chugging medpacs, avoiding enrage timers, etc. etc. etc. etc. This thread is filled with tinfoil hats and rivers of tears. Over medpacs no-less...
  10. No matter what he said... April is running low on Tuesdays.
  11. Only 1 medpac per fight!? Let's hope those Mayans were right! I just don't think I can handle this cruel world any longer!
  12. Yeah, those craftable droid parts are practically useless. It's a damn shame. Also, it seems that the droid specialization cores coming in 1.2 (the ones that improve your ship droids crew skills) are to be bought from a vendor, and not created/sold by a cybertech. This is REALLY disappointing: I was hoping I could could craft Droid Cores as a cybertech that every other crafter would want to boost their crew skills.
  13. ^^ and likewise, we need to get a few in us so we can be EXTRA belligerent! Yay for drinking!
  14. Moved from Tucson last year to LA (Don't hate me! I love the Old Pueblo!) Anyway, playing Aegon Kelborne, BH, on Davik's Estate. Hit me up so we can talk about pool parties, U of A tailgates, 4th, and Congress! (oh yeah, and the Desert Musuem, greenhouses, and stuff too )
