  1. Do you mean the level indicator in the top right? I have it on the highest level (up to 50). I assumed a purple mission would be of a high level.
  2. As the title says, I got a purple scav mission as a reward from a slicing mission. I clicked it and the text said, mission (name) unlocked. But I cant see it in my crew window? Any ideas where this mission is and how I can run it? Thanks.
  3. Ok, silly question.. How can you get this armor from the cartel market if I cant search for it? I don't quite understand how the CM works.. having never really delved into it.. Do you mean I should get it on the GTN?
  4. Haha Touché. For the record, i'm not complaining.. Just.. discussing..
  5. I'm not sure about that to be honest. With the resources used to create 10 fed ex side missions you could just make one really interesting one. But you may be right. Nevertheless thanks for the reply.
  6. If not to be constructive.. then why post? If you read the thread I try to remain constructive and put forward some ideas. "I want to like" implies the act of trying something in the hope that you might like it and you havent quite made your mind up about it yet. The game makes no choice for me as it is.. a game.. I'm not sure I follow your logic. The law of no XP bonus ensures I have to do most of the side quests.... I was recently enlightened to XP cartel bonus' and the double xp weekend, which was kind of the aim of this thread. At the end of the day, i'm here, I enjoy the game, I just wanted some insight into the quest design.
  7. I love how people post in threads without reading the entirety of the thread, where you will find I did make some suggestions.....
  8. I see your point but then why are the class quests so interesting? Because the way in which these kill quests/fedex quests are intertwined are really interesting. Sidequests just flat out state, "go here and killX" and there is a mob standing in an open field. Sometimes this will contradict the dialogue. For example, on the Taris bonus mission, you are asked to go kill 5 Cathar warriors, but first you have to "draw them out into the open because they are in hiding" . But then you get there and there they all are standing out in the open, just standing there. The amount of sidequests is really not required either. Why not create one big narrative quest with interesting stories and events, rather then 5 x go kill some of these and come back please. The last two bonus missions quest on Taris had me run to pretty much a copypasta building, and click on three objects in the same place, for different reasons.
  9. Wow thanks so much for this, great community.
  10. How is this possible though? I've generally skipped the bonus series on each planet, I'm just finishing up Taris now and I'm level 38 thanks to bonus XP day 1. I'd LOVE to skip some of the side quests... can you elaborate a bit more on how you are able to stay ahead of the XP curve outside of bonus weekends?
  11. i wish I hadn't done this. Well, kind of.. I wish I had have stuck with one character, then rolled alts. As it is I have lots of alts and no main, and I cant bring myself to complete Taris, because the sidequests are a bit samey. Love PVP though so im hitting that lots
  12. Hm, I know what you mean by that comment. I was a SWG player and I loved flying round on my swoop for miles. However I was referring to the aesthetics of the planets, outdoor environments vs city scapes etc.
  13. Not quite.. I'll cite Taris as an example because it's the one fresh in my mind. The bonus quest on Taris has you rubberbanding back and forth from the zone in order to complete quest after quest consiting of killing X mobs. Killed 5 mobs cool, well come back to your quest giver, now go back to the same place and kill more mobs.
  14. Wow different smokes for different folks I guess. Can you tell me (aside from the planet and class quests) why you enjoy the side quests on Taris?
  15. I'm a very casual player and have no max level toon. Few alts here and there so bear with me if this is old news to you. Taris for me is hands down the worst planet in the game. Oh wait that's Alderaan right? No Balmorra? I love the main quests on the planets, like Thana on Taris etc but the side quests all boil down to one thing. Go here, kill this(these) mob(s), come back. The Taris bonus series ALL the quests boiled down to killing mobs or clicking on something. You could conceivably not listen to any of the amazing voice overs (and they are really well done) because each quest boils down to go here, kill X mobs, come back. Then go back to the SAME PLACE, kill more mobs, come back. I love the class quests, love the main planet quests, the side quests make me want to introduce my face to the desk at speed. I wonder why it had to be this way? I'm sure there was some way the creative team at Bioware were able to work some creativity into the game play to break things up a bit. Now I'm on Hoth killing X alien things for admiral JoeBloggs. I really want to like this game I really do, but it feels like such a grind in between class and main quest lines. I'm taking advantage of the double XP weekend nevertheless. I'm doing a bit of PVP in between questing to break it up but it seems you get more XP rewarded for quests than anything else. If I had to be brutally honest I'd say the only planets I've enjoyed so far are Hutta and Nar Shaddar. Hutta because the game was shiny and new and Nar Shaddar because it was a break from endless expanse. Now, please don't take this as a rant I'm merely voicing my concerns and wondering if anyone else feels this way, what they do to mix it up a bit on (not so interesting) planets.
  16. Taris for me was pure facedesk. ALL my characters have died on Taris and i'm yet to have a max level toon. (im v casual ) God bless double xp weekend it allowed me to push through it and now i'm on Hoth.
  17. I have to agree leveling a sniper is like watching paint dry until you get some key abilities.
  18. The only time I did this is when I found out how awesome the male operative voice over is compared to the (equally awesome but slightly less so) female one.
  19. I don't believe a word that comes out of this mans mouth. I wont be returning to the game while Hickman is in charge thats for sure..
