Hello everyone. Okay soooo I stopped playing SWTOR shortly after the hutt expansion and now I am back and want to get into the game, but I am SO lost now. I made an operative and want to play as concealment, but I am now at a total loss for talent choices....rotation....gearing..etc. I would really like some input from an experienced concealment operative on how to play one now. Any help is greatly appreciated. Side note: I did check out that Dulfy guide, but it seems pretty complicated for someone just returning and making a new operative....so something broken down and simplified regarding rotations and talents would be awesome =)

Hello BH community. I started playing TOR at launch and found the game lacking pretty bad but figured over time, amazing changes would take place, and it seems to be true ^_^ The game looks amazing now with its changes and my friend and I are returning but starting fresh to get back in the swing of things. To my point though, I am about to select PT for tanking purposes and no longer know how to spec it. I found great links to priority attacks and stats, but not a reliable, great talent tree layout. What is considered the cookie cutter spec nowadays? Links to talent point distributions would be greatly appreciated =D

B/c a sticky in the shadow forums for a tank spec completely leaves out kinetic ward. I thought it was odd, but didnt argue it. Any specs out there for me to use? You linked that 31/0/10 thing but it led to a useless pvp video lol.

Hello. I am quite new to shadow tanking and so far love it! but I notice I get hit REALLY hard and in my spec, i dont have kinetic ward (a sticky here didnt include it in spec) but feel it may be important. I am in a mix of tionese, columi, and random low item level 50 epics. I think my absorb is 35%, def is 20% and shield rating is 30 or 35% Anyone got any tips on boosting those? (preferably without paying out the butt for augments on such low quality gear) and maybe share specs they use? Thanks!

I level as a healing operative, with HK-51 as my companion (the droid is a freaking beast) and really enjoy it. I am obviously capable of healing hk and myself with ease, and at the same time dealing pretty decent damage with my knife attacks and grenade. It can lead to quite a few hotkey set ups, but it can be done. You also get the benefit of near instant-instant queues with flashpoints and quick invites to 4 man heroics.

I learned this the other day too....SOOOO beyond annoyed to finally get ashara and attempt to change out her outfit only to see that....I mean, its just stupid lazy. I can strip any other companion to their underwear....but you cant even expose ashara's feet or hands for cryin out loud! Really really weak bw...hopefully this is a fix in the works, even if it isnt an immediate priority.

Dude this...I heard all kinds of wild things about being able to use CC's to change your species of a character you have already created. This would be ideal really. I mean if say 2 more years pass and they decide "hey, lets make popular species like nautolan, togruta and kel dor species options"...it will be FAR more desirable to be able to simply change one of your current characters rather than level a brand new one. By then, it is highly likely everyone will have all the classes they want to 50 too...

Crazy hate towards Taris....Taris is prob my favorite planet aside from tat. I hate voss, but not really the planet, I hate its locals. The Voss are SO ANNOYING with their overly mystic views and misplaced arrogance. I really hope the gormak eat them all. If I had to say I hated an actual planet for the planet itself, I would give it to alderaan.....every time I get to the mid 20's, I am already saying to myself "oh crap...alderaan is soon". It is too big, the story is awful, I run like crap on that planet, and its overall underwhelming.

Ahhh I did not realize that. Hmmm, prob something I wont get for a while anyway then as it prob will be pricey. I still think its an okay idea though.

Axes as weapons do have some small place in star wars lore, and can always be crafted from saber resistant materials...I think its totally viable and I dont think there will be TONS of ppl going out of their way to mod an ax or sword, so ur immersion is prob safe

I tend to be kind all the time XD If I am on belsavis or something and a guildy cries "help, i cant finish this quest on tatooine!!!1!1!111", I put my happy self back on my ship and travel to tatooine and help them. Acts of kindness can really start to pay off in the long run as others start giving u credits/stuff/helping u when u need it.

Ppl will pay. Ppl would pay 15$ on WoW for a stupid little kung fu panda pet that followed u around going HIIIIIIYA! I am sure 15$ is a bargain for things that are actually useful....-_-

To tank endgame content? Just hit 50 on my vanguard and bought the recruit pvp gear (as it was mostly better than my gear as a fresh 50) and now i wanna know for hardmodes and ops where should my stats be? Is there a def cap? Absorption/shield cap? How much aim?

So what is a good replacement for the lost Iron Fist pvp tank spec?

I see it as being within reason to create social classes. It would be kinda neat to be an entertainer (make a hot toon that dances in nearly nothing) and just maybe gather mats to sell and make money. But (having not played SWG) how would a class like that level? Are they still capable of combat in some way? Maybe something like an entertainer is a great buffing/debuffing class? Engineers could be designed for combat while being better at crafting but that puts balance into question. How exactly would these social classes work and how would they fit into SWTOR the way it currently is?

I would say Zeltron if not for the pink skin. Maybe if I was a woman DEF Zeltron. But since I am not, I would probably go with something more feral.....Talz or Wookiee. Prob Talz cause they live in snow =D

Not really simple facial choices. I have rerolled multiple times for species/gender options. I have a 50 cyborg vanguard and 30 miraluka shadow....but with these new species options I am sorta torn. I would LOVE to make my JC a chiss, but I also don't have tons of time. I obviously can't level a chiss (quickly anyway) to 50 and getting up 1.5 million seems like itll take time =/ Ultimate solution: BW lets us do full make overs (species included) for $$$ like WoW. I doubt they could let u change gender as that would mess with the affection of the companions, but again, I would like to just transform my 30 JC into a chiss than re roll after paying 1.5 million credits. Any word on this service happening? Prob not...

I agree! I don't have time to make lvl 50's of all species so I try to BUY the species unlocks but 1.5 million doesn't just fall into your lap. And that's just ONE of the many many money sinks in this game -_- Just stop it BW. It will encourage using "gold sellers" imo... Other than that, I love this update tho.

I leveled all the way as a tank so I cant relate 100% but killing things took PAINFULLY long.....HOWEVER, I never died. To anything. Ever. So to say I went 1-50 and died less than 5 times (accidental suicide for most of those) was pretty kool. As a dps tho, you should be alright. You will notice slower kill rates regardless, but you will prob never be killed either.

Elara. She is a bit of a stick...but her accent, and customization that gives her the long hair with freckles, is just plain yummy. I love her heals as I am a vanguard, and I find her background interesting. Tanno Vik and Jorgan are just too Douchey for my taste. Forex is awesome too but useless for me, Yuun is nifty, but kinda just....there.

Since nobody seems to wanna just say, I will chime in. I just came back earlier this month myself after leaving in jan. and some improvements/changes include a well detailed interface customization option, the ability to buy any race/class combo (1.2 or 1.5 million credits each species if i recall) or hit 50 with a race, and get it for any class, new end game content (a new warzone and raid are in the mix), they done class tweaking out the whazoo so u will have to look into that, free server transfers (more like merges) are up and functioning well, and the legacy system is off the ground =) Those are just some things i remember
