  1. Just a couple logistical points/questions: Tier 4 Legendary bracers and belt are currently unavailable in-game except for purchase with UC (and crates drops, but whatever). I haven't raided at all since pre-4.0, but I haven't seen anyone selling Master clears which makes me think the Master Modes are legit and can't be 7-manned right now. Which begs the question of why they limited legendary drops to last bosses if people can just go buy the stuff with comms. Or will tier 4 vendors will sell purples and BiS will go back to being NiM only? <---Pls this. Giving blues a set bonus in tier 4 was a good step. Make sure they have optimized mods, too, please--in short, assure that blue Tier 4 is ACTUALLY an upgrade from legendary Tier 3. Crafting. I'm assuming the current tanking meta for Maser modes (assuming that even exists) is to get crafted 240 high-endurance mods and enhancements with as good an armoring as you can get. Will purple Tier 4 be craftable?
  2. Are the achievements that pop for "Dark v. Light: XXX" going to have points attached to them or are they going to be 0 point cheevos for keeping track of objectives? If they have points attached to them, you're going to have vets who can't get them because they're being forced to participate on another server. And having unobtainable achievements kinda defeats the purpose of having achievements, right?
  3. I think knowing the metrics would be less useful than we all hope. I'm a hardcore raider. Pre-4.0, the only reason I leveled toons was for more lockouts. Got 18 to cap before the limit was raised from 22 to 40. Looking at my metrics, though, I certainly loved the storylines cause I kept doing them. Since 4.0, none of my priorities have changed, but I raid less due to talent drain. However, I'm now up to 28 toons at level cap, and I've taken every single last one of them through the slog that is KotFE, most of them during the gap between Chapter 9 and 10. Not because I liked it, not because I thought the expansion was good beyond the initial playthrough. Just because, at the time, I was certain content was going to be gated behind it. Turns out I was right--EC, Star Fortresses, a bunch of companions. Also turns out it was none of the content I was looking for. I was thinking more along the lines of a new raid that would be locked to toons that hadn't completed chapter 16, released in the gap between the seasons. Looks more like that was a pipe dream as well. But look at my metrics? I couldn't get enough of KotFE. It's just too hard to determine motive from metrics. This game has a lot of different communities--raiders, crafters, PvPers, GSFers, alt-o-holics, and story folks. The devs should make a game that caters to all those different communities so we can stop parsing through financial reports to try to determine which is most valid. They're all valid.
  4. Thanks, D. Any word on why this mission has the requirement of all those previous recruitment missions? The Alliance alerts we got in 4.1 only required us to complete Chapter 9 and get Yuun before they showed up. Oversight or intended?
  5. This is the logic of someone who's never progressed. NiMs are not the easiest content around. Everyone's gonna get stuck somewhere, from some period of time. And most guilds have a limited amount of time to run. We're not gonna grind TFB for gear and take time out of Brontes pulls for alts. Most guilds kill 2-4 bosses a week in NiM, and spend the rest of the time on wipes. But when there is, finally, a kill, we should get a piece that's worth the time. On the other hand, I ran 18 EVs and KPs when they were up, 8-manning Soa on 16 man. There's nothing else better to do, so why not grind until they fix the NiM loot? We are so tired of HMs at this point, because we're doing them OVER and OVER and OVER on alts that are still 192/198. We even used EV and KP HM as a way to level up insta-60s. Raiders leave when they kill everything. 224 gearing will slow down once NiM drops 224. Plain and simple.
  6. Can we expect a fix with 4.1? Sooner? Later?
  7. Indeed. They popped as I logged i after the patch. Thanks to anyone and everyone who took care of this.
  8. There are new sections for each fleet inside the location portion of the legacy window. There's a single thing there, probably for logic / checking reasons, and a greened out 0/0 there. No big deal. Except...on the sidebar, where I have lovely 100% on the started planets, Balmorra, Taris, Ilum, etc, these two are %. It's a minor detail, but just to the devs...can we get that 0/0 achievement changed to 100% completion instead of 0?
  9. Any chance of getting these tomorrow (or at least the server downtime), or will we be forced to brave the bitter weekend without guidance, stumbling through our woeful ponderings without the blessings of the Ptach?
  10. Bumping, because I'm probably not going to think of it for a while.
  11. Also, TFB was barely two months old when it was scaled up. Rave and ToS will be 11 months old by then.
  12. Calm down. They've said time and again that there will always be a pre-season whenever new gear comes out. So the next preseason will start, probably, on October 20 (the date of early access). but definitely by Oct. 27.
  13. Here's hoping they'll announce 2 new raids with KotFE, and abandon their great plan with the old raids.
  14. No, the slot machine changes are good. You guys just got the icing taken off your cake and are screaming about the resulting asphyxia.
  15. Dude, if you can't get 192 tokens, you're not playing the game right. And if getting 192 tokens forces you to play the game a different way than you'd prefer, then you don't need 192 gear. A mill for crafted 192 is artificially low, so buy it now while you can.
  16. I know that this process is working for the vast majority of people, but here's what I ran into. I ran around on Yavin and clicked on the first Spirit, got the achievement and the buff, then my client crashed and I had to restart. Since I logged out, I lost the buff. I continued on, getting the next three Spirits. I clicked them all, got the individual achievement for all 4 spirits, yet "Speaker for the Dead" wasn't granted. After getting the third spirit, I picked up one of those Talismans before i re-acquired the Spirit I had before the game crashed. So, I never had all 4 spirits at the same time. In any case, I continued on, eventually getting all four achievements for the 4 talismans, then clicking the Unkown Talisman, getting that achievement, and spawning the boss, who killed me quickly. However, even though I have all five achievements for the individual Talismans, "Grave Robber" was never applied, either. I was wondering if having all the spirit buffs at the same time was the issue, so I later went through specifically to have all 4 simultaneously. Still nothing. I didn't do the talismans again--I was thinking Speaker for the Dead might be somehow required for the Grave Robber achievement, but when nothing granted after I clicked the 4th spirit, I didn't pursue it any further. Just wanted to get it out there and see if it had been happening to anyone else.
  17. Yea, does this mean your lvl 32 toon can't get the lowbie weekly, or that your level 59 can't get one? It's a bug if your level 59 toon can't get the weekly for lvl 32s (and if your lvl 32 can't pick it up for that matter), but you won't get the old 55 weekly again until you ding 60.
  18. Might be your DPS, might be your strategy..Have everyone in your group use a parser and compare the numbers in the 2nd fight to what they put up in your kill of the first boss. If they're dropping drastically, someone is hitting the wrong thing. If the numbers are consistent, change strategies. But really, 10k combined DPS should be enough to kill this on SM. If your bomb-runner is throwing in 1700 or 2k, that means the other 3 people only need to be puling 2700 or 2800. Here's how it works for us: I'm the bomb runner in our group, and I use a timer to peel off 10-15 seconds before the shield goes up so I'm in position to run underneath the moment the buff appears. In our group, we use the first 3 bombs (0:30, 1:30, 2:30) and have walker 1 down to 3% before the 3:30 shield comes up. We don't remove that shield. We just switch and burn walker 2, then I peel off at 15% to get the fourth bomb (each bomb removes 2 stacks, which means we're consistently killing walker 1 before the 5:30 shield pops--the 3:30 and 4:30 shields are getting removed). Our group is min/maxed 180s with a few 186 and 192 here and there--basically crafted mainhands and the 6 192 pieces from The Ravagers split up among the 8 of us. It's not something that gear is an issue for (unless you're in comm gear). Just takes practice. We wiped 7 or 8 times on it, some really frustrating ones on the last bomb, too, but once you get it, you'll have it for good. Now if that Underlurker would just stop hitting all of us for 21k on green crosses....
  19. Remove the RNG from the grophets. Just let them respawn 100% of the time, every 30 seconds so we can get the cheevos again. I get that you guys put a lot of thought into this datacron chain, but sometimes you've gotta kill your darlings. And just delete the Nightlife cheevos altogether, and never bring them back. What I really want is my green 100% back, however that gets accomplished.
  20. Umm. removing GREE Helix components from a GREE Sphere seems kinda bass-ackwards to me. They should PLEASE PLEASE remove the snow-colored parcel doo-dads and stick that Sphere back on Ilum where it belongs, and bump up the helix requirement to compensate. Should still be cheaper than blue, cause the blue looks better, but if the kids don't want to wait a year, that seems like the more logical conclusion. Also, this summer they told us specifically that the rakghouls wouldn't be coming back, too. Just sayin'. Don't trust this lot. They're sneaky sometimes.
