  1. If its sweet potato's then we've got a deal!
  2. They probably did and they know exactly what most of us wanted and that's the exact same reward principals as season 1 but unique to every other content. They eater didn't have the budget to get real graphic designers or just don't care. Every reason they are giving for releasing this seasons rewards is plain nonsense. Good thing i play ranked for the fun of it, because i just like the death match scenario. But i really feel so bad for the people that have been grinding for there rating, especially those in the 2000+ area.
  3. Make it instant, but remove the auto crit in combination with Affliction. You get your mobility but not to much of a burst increase. Although i don't think you should change every spec to become mobile. Whats next? MM snipers asking to be more mobile? where will it end?
  4. I would say Sorc, not because the damage is higher but its just easier to play in flashpoints. Range dps is just a bit easier to play in my opinion. In Boss fights with big AOE damage as a Sorc you can stay at max range and keep dotting, you also have a much better overview of the fight (that's just my experience) A melee has to keep running around and sometimes out of range of most of his damage abilities.
  5. Ok so I'm really not a pro at this and I'm not sure if your asking about pvp or pve but i can give you a few tips until someone comes along to really help you So this is totally basic and just what i do when L'm playing my sorcerer. - Deathfield => Creeping Terror => Affliction => Force Lighting. - Use Crushing Darkness (only with 3 stacks of Wrath) . - Only redot when dots are almost done, keep spamming Force lighting in the meantime. - You should check for yourself but i bet your losing force that fast because you try and dot everyone in the Warzone am i right? This basically means your not using force lighting much witch is your main and maybe only force re-generator. hope this helps
  6. actually this scenario will get you about 18k-19k maul if your relic's proc and you use your power adrenal :p
  7. 200 games means 100 games testing 1 spec, in 100 games you get all the conditions more often bad ones then good ones in my experience playing with 30% crit adds around 20k damage per arena round. The healing is neglected when you get focused, but it sure as hell comes in handy when your the last 2 guys and both are around 10-30% hp. On another note i've sayed this before but i just cant say it enough. I love the fact that madness allows you to play at melee or range, meaning its very hard to kite you but you can kite melee yourself.
  8. I've already posted this in another threat, but i guess this is the one that's still active i've been playing ranked and testing madness with both 25% and 30% crit for many games. I can tell you that the way i play i get a 20-30% increase in damage per arena round when i play with 30% crit. I've played 100 games with 25% and 100 games with 30% crit. I didn't parse anything or have any clue why this is but i just noticed these things. At 25% crit - i'm top damage 6/10 games - when im number 1 i barely did 5k damage more then the second guy At 50% crit - I'm top damage 9/10 games - sometimes i do 30% more damage then the second guy - my self-healing is 2x more then it is when i got 25% crit - way more burst moments Maybe someone that knows about this stuff should start parsing some arena games. i base this all on arena's because it's because its the most competitive form of pvp right now. P.S. Madness is truly great when you learn how to play it like it should be played...
  9. I don't think it works that way or we would have been able to read that somewhere in the skill point description. On another note i've been playing ranked and testing madness with both 25% and 30% crit for many games. 10. First of all i'd like to know what kind of tests you have done to get this conclusion. Second are you saying that Madness Sorcerers and annihilation marauders dots do more healing? i think not... And about your role being a damage dealer and not a healer...90% of arena games are 4v4 dps. SO where can i find that dedicated healer? I've played no crit 25% and 30% myself and at 30% crit i haven't gone down in overall damage at all, but now i sel-fheal for twice more in an arena match. You can't just say stuff like "if you play 30% crit your not serious"...
  11. This is a totally different test, because here your stacking way 2 much endurance and crit (i know this is because you want your heal ticks to be higher). Try to test this stuff with 30% crit while using low endurance armoring, mods and enhancements. I bet you wont lose that much dps then.
  12. Just because you don't know how to play a spec right doesn't mean its less viable then the one your potbelly playing for a long time. You really cant expect to just re-roll to an entire different spec and start playing it as a pro. I play madness myself and been playing it pre 2.8. The spec did need the buffs it got very bad, but the way it is right now i'm loving every second of playing it. I guess for some reason i can manage all my dots, while also dotting everyone else around me. Madness has just as many stuns and defensive cooldowns now deception has. Our burst has some rampup time or whatever its called, but ones you get the rotation going its bye bye. I've played deception for a long time and yes you can kill someone very vast if everything crits, but if nothing crits your left there with your ballz hanging between your legs. Both spec's are very strong, it really just depends on your playstyle. I see no reason why a madness Assassin cant be just as good as a deception Assassin. The thing i love about madness is casters have a much harder time kiting you because of your ranged abilities and root, but on the other hand you can kite melee classes with those same abilities..
  13. If you want to get something done then you need people behind you so that Devs actually start thinking about the changes you want to make. This won't happen when you repel everyone
  14. I've been playing Madness for months now(used to play it at lauch also), just started to play rated a week before 2.8. at the moment 9/10 games i'm nr.1 on damage. At games where the teams have a healer i dot everybody to pressure the healer, those games i end up doing almost 2x more damage then the nr.2 guy. I play with 30% crit 90% accuracy 77% surge 1310 force power.
  15. He m8, I play both an Assassin and a Marauder at level 55, in both regulars and Ranked. In my opinion the Assassin is as you call it "player friendly" for solo gameplay in regulars. This is mostly due to being able to stealth, witch opens up a lot of options. The most important two are: 1. you can choose when to engage combat every time 2. you can stealth cap or simply ambush a guarded nod, destroy the defender(s) and cap it. I find that even teamed up with bad players i can still turn the game around in our favor when i'm on my Assassin. I do play a Madness Assassin, I've been doing this way pre 2.8. I find that this class/spec suits me best because you it comes closest to being a true hybrid spec. You can choose to eater play at caster or at melee range to eater kite melee or stick like glue. And of course your dot's being able to heal you is that extra bonus that makes it just that much better. This is just my perspective of course, its just how i feel after playing every class at 55. hope this helps you make your choice.
  16. I'm one of the very few Assassins that's been actively playing madness in Warzones and rated arena's (pre 2.8) and even pre 2.8 i was topping the boards (and no not just with fluff damage). The reason that people are getting bothered with this spec now is because lots of Assassins eater want to try it out in arena's or think its the new best spec to play. Yes the damage of dots has increased, not by a lot tho. The rotation is much smoother and we don't need to spam trash all the time witch is just perfect. I love the instant wirl wind and 30% damage reduction by mass mind control. But how many Madness Assassins do you actually come across in ranked and how many of those actually use all those abilities? I've played over a 100 ranked matches sins 2.8 and i've only come across 1 Assassin that played the madness spec effectively (not counting myself )
  17. mtanios

    Ranked PvP dead.

I play on TOFN and ranked is very alive here, on the weekends i almost get instant pops between 14:00-20:00. During the week i play between 18:00-23:00 and queue time is around 5-10 min most. So it really depends on server, faction and time you play.
  18. Or maaaaaybe just maaaybe you should take what everyone is saying into consideration as you can ruin the gameplay of other people that also pay to enjoy this game? Thinking about just your own enjoyment doesn't make the world (of swtor) a better place.
  19. What 3 other talents from the madness tree are you talking about? Your saying that adding some % to the charges damage of Lighting charge your dots will do 5-6 times more damage? Or am i understanding it all wrong I think people are confusing 2 different things: Lightning Charge Instant Force: 100 Charges your lightsaber with lightning, giving your attacks a 50% chance to deal 214 energy damage. This effect cannot occur more than once every 1.5 seconds. Requires a double-bladed lightsaber or electrostaff. Does not break Stealth. Discharge Instant Force: 20 Range: 10 m Unleashes your current lightsaber charge upon the target, applying an effect based on your current charge. Only usable with a charged lightsaber. Requires a double-bladed lightsaber or electrostaff. Lightning Charge: Deals 1471 periodic energy damage over 18 seconds. Electric Execution Increases the damage dealt by your lightsaber charges by 6/12/18% So lightsaber charges have charge damage AND discharge damage..the charge damage is that small instant damage that happens when use initially use discharge and the discharge damage is the dot that you put on the target. Electric Execution only increases that initial damage by a % and not the dot itself. So if you have 2 skillpoints left thats 12% added to the 214 energy damage... It's the same with 'charge mastery' witch adds 45% critchance to the charge damage and not the discharge damage. Pre 2.8 i actually do use shock, so personally i rather spend those points in there. It's still some nice damage when you dubble shock and they both crit. Witch happens a lot with 30% crit.
  20. Keep the Crushing darkness buff for 2 items and change the 4 set bonus to something like "while under the effect of electrocute the target takes 10% more damage from your dots".
  21. For ranked you should make sure your at least full Obroan and completely augmented. Solo ranked is already hard as it is with all the players that don't know how to play, don't gimp yourself and team even more by not having proper gear.
  22. I always leave it from the start, then i wait a bit before i queue.. But then i still get in that same warzone i left. at the losing teams side
  23. Why would you put 3 points in electric execution? As far as i know it only adds 18% damage to your lightsaber charges direct damage and not to its discharge damage, witch in lightning charges case is very low.
  24. I main a sin as well and even with full Brutalizer gear, all 30X mods power/surge enhancements i still don't have 12k damage on demand. Because first of all the only skill that does anything close to 12k damage is Maul, second duplicity needs to be procced, third both your trinckets need to be procced. and last but not least the Maul needs to be a critical hit (witch wont be very likely because with the gear you set up, your crit will be below 20%). If the Gods are at your side and all the planets are aligned the player your hitting needs to have light armor and probably less then 2018 expertise. - Yes the spec is very strong. - Yes you can destroy most players with it because they haven't learned how to counter it - Yes the burst is great - No the sustained damage isn't good, go play team ranked and check your dps scores. Also there is a good reason its the worst dps spec in PvE. - No you aren't invincible, especially players who have a Sin as an alt know how to counter them. Also please stop trying to get classes balanced by comparing them in 1v1 situations, this is a MMO with no events or activities that stimulate dueling or anything like that (except for /duel witch gives you no credits commendations or quest rewards). It's a game you play in groups...
