  1. Was unaware of the free weekend, that would explain it. Thought something was up, havent seen queues since launch.

  3. You know i really never wanted to be like everyone else when i rolled both a marauder and a sorc... Seems now that its obvious that sorc is a support DPS (like you help others DPS) and CC harass class...yes im pretending theres no heals like every other damn sorc who still has the ability to toss a heal but never does, and completely choosing to ignore that theres a heal tree since mabey 5 people use it in wz total on fatman....everyones movin on up to the old gimp class marauder. I never thought sorcs needed any form of nerf however. Its going to be interesting when people figure out that snipers are this games glass cannon (thick cut glass though) sadly its my 3rd class. I fully intend that this will be the next OP FOTM class. People told me im bad for thinking this, these are the people who laughed at me for having a marauder main...whos laughing now?
  4. Snipers are good at defending a static objective...in fact they are phenominal at it. They do insane damage per hit, have a long range, and have a great aoe CC one close and one long range. Most people dont like them because they cant go rambo mode with them, by that i mean charge in then chase down people ect. The few, and i mean few, snipers i see in the 50 bracket all seem to know what they are doing, that is finding a good location, camping it, then sniping people, as a sniper should do. Ive played against them in huttball and i hate them, they hurt, a lot, and often you cant tell your getting hit by one, especially if they choose a great place to camp. Its a diffrent playstyle, also referencing to wow as case postitive that your a pvp pro is very funny. With that in mind, you wont like sniper, go PT or whatever the OP class of the month is.

  6. If i read correctly, expertise will have diminishing returns as well? Anyway, this is an RPG not a FPS/TPS...these games were never about "player skill" it was about playing your class smart. They even use to have a "run" option int he older RPG's for when you were up against something you couldnt beat. If you want to show off how good you are at a game do us a favor, go play CS or something. I hate the fact that now people can just buy BM gear, when working to earn it was all the fun. Where will the progression be? Some of us dont want an RPS lacking in progression. There was actual progression and a reason to hit that queue button one more time. Now i can just...buy the gear...then what? Theres no guild vs guild, theres no seiges...its just WZ queue, a defunct ilum...and PVE instances....they going to let me buy pve gear so i can hop right into HM ops too? And even then why bother ? I hate when they easymode these damn games. Happens to every one. All to appeal to players who dont like RPG's.
  7. Well i do know that im seeing a hell of a lot more marauders in the 50 bracket, and im sure that will only double come this next patch. Hardly ever see a sorc anymore, and alrmost never see a healer, other than the occasional OP. Anyway...the OP's bragging on getting top medals, something that is easy to do as a tank, doesnt vouch much for his case that juggy needs love. Regardless of inability to play the class correctly (in this case he may be but wants more?) The juggy is still a very viable PVE tank. I think we reached the point where the old OP classes are becomming weaker and the old gimp classes are getting stronger. You have two options, cry and stomp your foot in the forums, mabey unsubb thinking the developers will drop to their knees screaming "nooo" if you do so....or roll another class. Welcome to themepart class balance merry-go-round, in case this is your first themepark. I rolled a sorc and a marauder. My sorc was king for a while, now my marauder is...win win i guess. Sadly it seems that a majority of players rolled both these classes, other than the BH's which are fine across the board. If they let you change your class, the game would be nothing but assasins and marauders.
  8. Dont care about darkside vendor tbh. I just want the marauder pvp gear to not look like some type of cyborg robot...im a sith warrior not some damn melee BH Also, being a small body type...it looks distorted and furthers the goofy look endgame pvpv gear provides At this point, i would be happy with just a simple black robe Even debating the 25k per mod swap out, only if i wasnt sure i wouldnt get the set bonus.

I hear ya...but im just not convinced th arturu buff is going to be enough to counter any defensive gains in anni via their heals (didnt factoer force camo in since the the changes)..also with rage they already get a great burst mechanic with rage and they get a passive dmg reduction skill. I love hearing that a lot of the shortfall with ravage are going to be addressed in carnage, but again, like force choke, it takes us out of the battle for the duration, and unless ravage is getting a dmg boost, you seem** to get better dps doing other things than letting ravage play out, i still see ravage as very situational Other than the above mentioned skeptism that carnage will be good enough DPS wise to overcome the other trees survivability...everythings looking good. Theres already a good amount of marauders, i see more in the 50 bracket (and sents) than i see sorcs. This games going to be PACKED with marauders come 1.2 i suspect. Now...if only they could...make pvp gear look good on them...so ugly at 50...so very ugly
  10. Ok my understanding and experience was that carnage was never a *bad* pvp spec in terms of damage, it was that the tree lacked any survivability. I understand its getting more roots, which is good, but doesnt aid survivability (unless you plan to root then force charge to another guy possibly) Anni loses the camo buff but still keeps its all important heals on bleed crits which make it a solid pvp build, on top of its anni skill giving much needed burst to an otherwise slow killing tree Rage is going to be rage only will cause more QQ due to bigger smash ? Did i get that right? They buffed the least skilled and least fun tree to increase the smash bombs? Im still going anni...not a fan of rage tree pvp anymore, just dont like the stack then bomb mechanics Unless of course they give carni either enought dps to overcome its shortcommings in survivability or they give it some form of survivability. Im not seeing either as a case. I think carni was the most entertaining....and im hearing that predation will have a bonus in carni....why...you spam zerker in carni so you get additional massacre spam. I wouldnt dream of hitting anything other than zerker in carnage...another reason i like anni is i can safely click predatation for team advantages aside from needing heals on they fly (in which case ill go zerker for the heals)
  11. I used carange in pve already. The problem was in pvp, carnage's minor increase in DPS over time isnt enough to compensates for anni's heals in pvp. As per damage people would rather go in rage and drop massive smash crits and rack up damage that way. Both offer better survivability than carnage. It really depends on what you want to do. People usually just stick with anni since they can pve with it and its the best single target wz build. Going carnage, you lose the passive damage reduction in rage tree or the heals from bleeds in anni in exchange for nominal damage that occurs faster than would anni and more sustained dmg than would occur as a rage smash build. The rage build has more ultility for pvp, however your game is basically building shockwave asap then unleashing devastating smashes, force crush has a slow to it as well..no real sustained dps all burst. you wont want rage in pve, the aoe is a hot mess in a lot of instances causing aggo issues . Choose accordingly..i dont think 1.2 is going to be a significant change to the current setup. Carni might have slightly more dps than before, wont have any survivability, anni and rage will be the same....your still going to choose a tree based on pvp or pve or both.
  12. I guessing the OP is looking into the force healing stat rather than the tech tab that will show tech healing? Also, my quinn (and inquisitor mirror talos) have a near spammible heal that hits for around 300...i see it all the time. However they both have several heals that are limited to cooldowns and kolto immunity These hit much harder. I would hate to assume that the OP needs to check his companions quickbar/skill list and make sure medwatch and all his healing skills are active (will have a yellow dot rather than a grey I would also like to add that getting your healer pet the best vibroknife possible makes a huge diffrence, its the tech power. Also....does extertise aid in quinns healing in any way? Isnt there better gear that could be used to make him more effective in healing you? Just some thoughts...and my final thought...hes not suppose to be better than a player healer...your not going to get him to a point where hes keeping you alive while you tank the world.

Responding to the OP's post: You have a phenominal AOE fear and force choke (which does suck) Anni removes your complaint about kiting since you can force charge on reduced CD and do it from 0 ft away, that also roots them which i guess doesnt count as a CC in your book. Statistically they do bad in WZ since theres only one aoe spec, the rest are single target, and you cant spam smash like other classes aoe, it does do amazing damage when the stacks are there and specced into it Marauders are the best huttball runners, preditation, undying, shields, force charge The fact that i see more marauders and their mirror than sorcs and their mirror in 50 pvp bracket speaks volumes. They do have a definate role in pvp, i agree that the current medal system screws us, however after 4 medals...who cares you get no rewards...and they are adding in ned medals (perhaps medals for damage taken would net us 3 medals before your first death) Anyway...this post held water for the first run to 50 at launch when no one knew how to play marauders, and seemed to forget about 50% of the skill they had were infact usable in pvp. Today this post is sad for someone who claims to have...what was it 4 marauders across 4 servers....that in itself seems to be lie....anyway...reroll sorc healer....we need more of those in wz's....where did all the sorcs go?
  14. Ok, for marauders....its an improvement. Still incredibly ugly. The current centurion-BM marauder gear looks incredibly terrible on a small body style, and still looks like some kind of robot-juggernaught hybrid when applied to a larger body style. Eventhough i look like a red spartan in my orange-mod-gear from belsavis-voss-corelia...at least i get a skirt and cape...which reminds me of both star wars and roman/greek mythology (not good) but still much better than the "am i a robot now?" centurion-champ-BM gear that looks god aweful on small body styles....i really think they expect all marauders to choose the large muscular body types (wish i had gone fat tbh)
  15. I agree that sorcs are by no means a "glass cannon" type class. They are a CC harass class witha steady, never ending flow of DPS.. If you mouse over the WZ stats (i really think 5% of the pop knows this) it will show the DPS of each character when mousing over the total damage done. By this means you can get a general feel for what each class can pump out, over time at least. Obviously players will have good and bad game ect. However with sorcs, and most use the same rotation for dps, its not rocket surgery...you can see the disparities in DPS between classes in this way with no combat log or 3rd party parse (it in fact is a parse done during the WZ) Anyway ill leave if up to you guys to start mousing over players total damage stat to see who did what DPS...after a few WZ's youll get a general idea on the DPS of each class. I know most dont do this since 90% of the WZ team leaves the second the exit button cools down and the rest are waiting to see how MVP pan out. Sorcs do low DPS...its just they do it steady (full lightning does of course have higher DPS numbers especially when played correctly) People might be surprised at the common hybrid DPS spec and its DPS. its rather unimpressive. Sorcs are CC harassers and <DPS Support> since their stream of DPS doesnt end and allows the big hitters to take a target down fast. You can see it in WZ before 50, the sorcs targeting other players figthing and giving them the DPS boost and CC support to take them down. Your support, sorry. Oh and im not sure if its just me but i am seeing less and less sorcs in the 50 bracket...some times where there are none...i know statistically they are the most populair and they were everywhere int he 49 braket, just seeing less and less in the 50. Honestly i dont think they need a buff, they have a role (heals in pve and raids/ harass and dps support in pvp) but they certainly dont need a nerf.
