I am a launch player who recently came back to the game. I stopped playing before the first expansion and I am just returning now. So far I'm having a blast and really enjoying the game. Obviously things have changed since I last played which is understandable. However I feel really sad about the lightning ball spell. I really don't like the animation and it's become clear to me that there is absolutely no way to keep the shock ability other than playing tank. This makes me not want to play my assassin at all tbh. It's shocking to me that such an iconic ability like shock is replaced with such a lame ability like lightning ball. Some people may like it and that's great for them, but we really should have the ability to use a glyph or something so we don't have to use it. I would even take the DPS loss if it meant being able to use the base shock ability. I mean shock is just such a cool ability and as a deception assassin it felt like the coolest class ever. Stealth, double bladed lightsaber and cool lightning force abilities. Now we get this lame twirly lightsaber move and it somehow shoots a ball of lightning? LAME. I would even pay real money to the cartel market to get shock back, pls BioWare, make it happen.

A well played madness assassin will out DPS a marauder, just so you know.

I have noticed sometimes when I use my force choke that it seems like mid channel my opponent drops and is unstunned for a short amount of time, then picked back up and choked, stunning them again. This isn't a new thing however, and I do believe this to be a known bug. I could be wrong though.

well considering that Force Leap is on a 15 second cooldown I really doubt this happened. The only other thing that could have happened was he used obliterate on you which only has a 10 meter range, but you said that he was in the middle of the map so clearly that's not what happened.

LMAO this happened in WOW years ago so the response was to buff healing to god mode. Funny thing is no one complained healing was op'd after that. Except in wow healing is still op.

Show me where im taking offence to anything being said, please, enlighten me. Also this is not trolling, people cannot seem to figure out that 2 dps going hard and doing their job on one healer SHOULD mean the healer drops.

You are absolutely right sir, I do not play a healer. However there is a serious contrast from what seems to be going on in game compared to what people are reporting on the forums. I have talked to guild mates thouroughly about the issue, and most report that yes they do notice the difference, but they still heal VERY effectively.

So what you're trying to tell me is that a healer only taking half the damage + an additional 30% reduction from taunts cannot maintain their health? The pvp forum seems to be the place for melodramatic healers.

Except that the healer is now being damaged at a rate that halves the incoming damage, therefore able to keep up with burst AND heal the tank.

You do understand that BW capped how many medals you can get rewards from in a match for a reason right? They are trying to avoid people focusing more on medals than game objectives, and a system like this would be a step backwards

It's becoming quite clear to me why you are having a tough time in pvp, If you are a healer with guard up and decide to run the ball rather than pass to the guy guarding you, then it's time to take a break and think about things.

Sure will man, if they are dumb enough to queue solo, without someone to guard them, well then that's their way of telling me they enjoy the view from the deadbox anyways.

That's a great idea, BW should also implement a system that actually can train you to become a real life jedi of your own as well.

you do understand that having guard helps right? Try it sometime.

Yeah the squishiness argument is invalid, guard + healer is still unkillable.

I would say it was arguable before the patch if it was even worth your time then. There's no way in hell it is now. Especially since I find 40-50 much quicker than 30-40.

Well I came to this game not knowing what to expect as i had never dealt with Bioware before or played any of their previous games. First thing I noticed that there was a good amount of content on the release to keep me more than satisfied from release to now. Also I will add that there were and still are a few bugs that are in need of being fixed, but so is any online MMO especially a new one like this. I then noticed that from what the developers have been saying in their interviews as far as their vision of the game has been backed up. They said they wanted a Star Wars experience that is totally customizable to each person and so far thats exactly what I have seen. I feel in tune with all my characters and the descisions they make whether it's light sided neutral or dark sided choices. I have also seen the latest video that they will be adding more pvp, the legacy system will take effect and more flashpoints are all signs of a bright future. I have read alot of hate and dissatisfaction these forums, however my oppinion is very different. I understand that games as diverse as WoW for example had to start somewhere and from what I see, In even months time this game will overpower it by a longshot. Overall i am very happy with what this game has to offer, and those people who are claiming to cancel their subscriptions, thats fine by me as Im sure this game isnt for you then anyways.
