The extensive back catalogue of old Star Wars games, games 10 years old and more, is littered with so many good, classic titles that didn't get much attention after the prequels (and a few born of the prequels too), and the rise of the console dominated cash cows. So many classics that some fans never played, either because of platform or age, and some that had their potential wasted or stifled before they could properly get off the ground. So, I'd like to see people's ideas for past Star Wars games that they'd like to see given the now popular "Remaster Treatment".

Of all the games that need to "remastered", I'd gladly take any of the slew of classic 90's games (already got and loved the remasters of the first two Monkey Island games), the X-Wing/TIE Fighter series needs to be done. I don't care if they're never anything more than Legends canon (all the better imo), but seeing and playing those games with modern visual quality would be fantastic. The only downside would be the inevitable console versions dictating "re" development, especially in control and the more complex game mechanics such as power management. Hell, even the Dark Forces and Jedi Knight games would be great as properly updated games, so long as they don't replace Jedi Knight's FMV video. The FMV cheese was awesome and "Saturday morning cartoon" at times, in all the right ways. On that note, must go and start a thread on this...

The TIE Defender was (originally) designed and deployed in limited numbers during the Galactic Civil War, years before the New Republic. They've effectively taken parts of the story for the game TIE Fighter, and used it for Rebels - Thrawn (Vice Admiral in the game) and his involvement with the Defender programme.
-
Remember though, just because a previously EU/Legends character becomes canon, doesn't mean that the stories involving them become canonised as well i.e. Grand Admiral Thrawn.

No, Nico wasn't awarded until KoTFE went live. No doubt the same will happen with Shae, especially since she appears during the latter half of KoTFE as leader of the Mandalorians. I hope her "recruitment" is more than just make her a tasty drink though.

The fact that Del Toro's in it, and is playing a villain. The "big villain" or villains are obviously Snoke & Ren (Hux coming in a little behind Ren now that Snoke is going to "complete" his training), but it seems like some are imagining a repeat of the prequels where we had a new "poster boy bad guy" each film -> Maul, Dooku, Grievous & (eventually) Anakin, and Papa-Palpatine behind it all.

In all fairness, you're having to be one because of the way others have been grasping at even the tiniest hint of a straw for things from the EU/Legends being brought back. Not that they're being used as part of a creative process, or inspiring other events/characters etc, but that they are being copy & pasted into canon. On the plus side though, you're being an arse or nasty about how you go about doing it, so it's all good!

I've got to ask... What could you possibly be making that's netting you 10mil per week?

Donnie Yen as a "Follower of Palawa" in Rouge One?!
Fyurii replied to t-darko's topic in STAR WARS Discussion
Makes me come off like a series of emoticons? If you're going to call me something, don't hide behind emoticons. Makes you look borderline petulant. Using Legends materials as inspiration is not the same making Legends material canon. i.e. Ben Solo instead of Jacen Solo, and the events of their lives as we know them. -

Followers of Palawa is Legends. -
Ben Mendelsohn a middle aged Tarkin in Rouge One!?

White was for the ISB (Imperial Security Bureau). The guy in a white uniform at the conference table in ANH was Colonel Yularen (Admiral Yularen from TCW). Tarkin has never been shown in a white uniform (TCW, RoTS, Rebels and ANH), so it's definitely not him, especially given how closely set to ANH that Rogue One is. In the EU white uniforms were also for Grand Admirals, but that's now Legends and the only canon Grand Admiral rank is Ackbar in TFA. -
Bioware did not tell you to post in the wrong section of the forums. It's to do with crew skills, you should post in the crew skills section. AKA "I want to make easy money with minimal effort." Die hard crafters have no problem with gathering white mats as it is now. They also know how to make both a profit, and not to rely solely on crafting as this isn't that kind of game. You're neither a die hard crafter, or a basic player. You're wanting something for practically nothing. It's already easy to get the white mats, and all but purple OPs mats without having to pay through the nose or waste time on a manual grind. What you're asking for is a pointless waste of dev time and money.

Crew Skills is over here, and the Suggestion Box is over here... Wrong section aside, the crew skill harvesting of white materials is more than enough if your companions are above influence level 10, and obviously the higher the better since they're liable to return more from crew skill missions and in less time.

The forums changed several times after release, and the only change to logging in that there has been, was the change from email address to user name in the login. The opt ins for emails etc was the second last change made regarding the forums, before they added SWTOR to the EA Answers HQ method of troubleshooting, so that EA community members solved each other's issues, instead of directly with tech support/customer service on an internet forum. The changes made to where you accessed those opt ins had absolutely nothing to do with any account "mergings" between Origin and SWTOR accounts, since they were the exact same thing already, with the only difference being between this game and typically other games on Origin, is that this game does not require the Origin Client to even be running let alone installed. You misunderstand, the login that is this account I have, could be used for the Bioware Social Network before they changed to their current forums to what they are now, which was between the last piece of DLC for Mass Effect 3 and the release of Dragon Age: Inquisition. Your SWTOR login has always been a valid login for EA's Origin client, because it was an EA account, which is the same thing as an Origin account and as a result, every part of EA's website for store purchases and other things, including online support and access to support forums through a web browser instead of the Origin client.

I doubt he was allowed to, since it was supposed to be for at least the both of them, and Kanan probably still doesn't like the idea of using Sith knowledge at all. More than likely, the holocron opened because of the growing darkness it sensed in Ezra.
-
Nope. They've been "merged" since at least release. I know because I checked to see after I'd gotten done installing from retail discs, and sure enough it was the only game on that Origin account, and was marginally worried that I'd have to launch from Origin, which I didn't have to and was relieved. I double checked with the now technically defunct Bioware Social Network site, and low and behold the login for this account worked there, where my games were on a different account. I've had 2 Origin accounts since this game released, and this one still only has SWTOR on it. Not even any of the "On the House" games either. Also, This thread from 2011 is three days before game release...
-
So you've been opted in since at least launch then? I only ask, because your SWTOR account has been an Origin account since at least then, and most likely before release in Dec 2011. Any forum login for an EA game is an Origin account, and this is an EA game...

Which is absolutely, nothing to do with what this section is intended for. You didn't create this thread for discussing things Star Wars related outside of this game itself, therefore is in entirely the wrong section. Either General Discussion or ideally the Suggestion Box are better suited to the subject matter.

They'd still have to contend with Lucas. About half of Christensen's performance was because of Lucas, both with the script and how he was being directed by Lucas.

Nvm, covered above.

The novel for The Phantom Menace was the where Darth Bane was first mentioned, and where he was named as the creator of the Rule of Two. He's a creation of Lucas, as is Darth Ruin, Lucas' founder of the Sith who was the leader of a group of fallen Jedi. Fortunately, because it was never explicitly stated either by Lucas, or in any published works, that any pre existing Sith were no longer canon, then the EU adapted to Darth Ruin as being the leader of another schism of the Jedi Order, as opposed to the first Sith. <cough> internet <cough> less than legal means <cough>...

^^The necromancy is strong with this one...

This would be better placed in the Suggestion Box section.

Ketsu/Ketzu/Kitsu (whatever) wasn't an A-Wing pilot. She was a pirate that Sabine knew well (possibly a Mandalorian as well but probably not as they'd have made a point of referencing that by now), before joining with Hera & Co. She had appeared in an earlier episode of this season, before the mid-season break. She was the one in the "non-Rebel" starship (her own ship) helping defend their fleet when the heroes returned with the fuel for the carrier.
