  1. I have cancelled my subscription because it is too difficult to find flashpoint groups while leveling up. I can sit in the Republic Fleet for hours and not find a group, all the while going out of my mind with boredom. I feel like underpopulation is a huge problem even on the highest population realms where I play. It is very much like playing a single player game most of the time. I may be willing to resubscribe if a respectable LFG system is implemented. Until then I'll be in Tera, WoW, or somewhere else.
  2. The reverse engineering sticky thread will help you make the items you want at the level of quality you demand.
  3. In most cases yes, you can. This is covered in the reverse engineering sticky thread at the top of this forum.
  4. Here is a link to the "system-building, upgrading, and parts-picking megathread" over on the somethingawful forums. I used this thread as my primary resource when building my current computer. I had great results. Best bang for the buck is the goal here, not a money gobbling high end system. The best bang for the buck system will easily play SWTOR at max settings. http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3458091
  5. If I could ride my speeder in orbital stations and starports, I would be happier. As it is I clench my teeth and deal with the slow run. In fact, it's not even the slow run that bothers me, but rather the discrepancy between the speeder speed I've become accustomed to, and the sprinting speed which I have been weaned off of since level 25. It seems extra frustrating to not only have to make a run through an orbital station or starport, but also to have to do so travelling at a significantly slower speed than usual. edit: I'd like to emphasize that I like the flavor orbital stations and starports add to the game. It makes the game that much larger and more epic.
  6. This sort of thing should not be possible. That's crummy that a player on a PvE server can without warning and against their will and out of their control be flagged for PvP.
  7. A larger version of the flow chart would be nice. The PNG format helps a lot since it will stay fairly clear when zooming a little at least.
  8. Thanks for the update. I have been happy with how Bioware has been handling issues since the game's release. I was doubtful at first since I knew nothing about the game when I bought it, but since then I've become happy to continue paying to play this game.
  9. I'm not into the hard mode stuff, but this sounds really silly. If it is sometimes impossible to complete the encounter simply because of group composition, I can only conclude that is poor design.
  10. I have to second this but I recognize that it is a bit harsh. Full disclosure, I'm a healer who really appreciates a good tank. When I get a good tank, I'm smiling. A tank who ignores enemies who are hitting me and on and on makes my day hard.
  11. Similar story with the adrenal that gives for example +150 Power, versus the one that gives +150 Tech Power and +150 Force Power and also reduces the damage that YOU deal by 50%. It is apparent that they wanted the 50% damage reduction one to be for healers, but the simple +force one is more versatile and has no downside. Both require identical materials to make, and have the same cooldown (in purple reusable form).
  12. I'm going to take up Slicing just to spite you crybabies.
  13. This bugged me too. I was seriously considering equipping a cool new electrostaff I found, until I realized I wouldn't be able to use many important abilities with the staff.
  14. I agree that big things start at level 1, and it's an important reason why this game has sucked me in to the extent that it has. I bought it nearly without knowing anything about it after reading some positive reviews from trusted sources, and I have been beyond pleasantly surprised. edit: I see some people complaining about the length of dialog. I discovered a useful trick - press spacebar to skip through individual lines or movement scenes during dialogs.
  15. http://blog.xkcd.com/2010/05/03/color-survey-results/ That's a pretty robust analysis of color name differences between sexes based on actual experimental evidence. Very interesting
