  1. Interesting. Is it like a set field of stuff? Or is it absolutely random. As in, can it be for anybody or just some people? Or is it random after you pick it up with stats that may, or may not be yours?
  2. Let's say that We took an exact copy of the Lauch of WoW. Made it into star wars instead, would it be successful today? Hell no.
  3. I agree they need to work out bugs before they can add what makes WoW work well. But again, he is correct. These features are not new, but they take time to develop. I'd say it'l take SW a few months to start adding these "New" features because of all the bugs. That's just how it is. These are not new ideas.
  4. SW is not competing with WoW that was launched. SW is competing with the WoW as is today.
  5. You are not competing with the WoW That launched. You are competing with the WoW now.
  6. Except they have been working on the ENTIRE GAME for 6 years on that budget. You can't just google "Space Combat +"not on rails"" and implant in something that somebody else did. It would take their own programmers to make something that some games use as their single feature. It's a ridiculous assumption that this is just some feature that can be thrown into any game.
  7. Feels fully done to me. Full voice acting, a superb questing experience, it's just young. Worth my 60 most dope
  8. FTFY Jokes aside, comparing a game like Halo's space combat to that of SW:TOR is ridiculous. Now I also wish the space combat was better but you have to be realistic. This game isn't a space fighter game, go play EVE. So expecting an MMO based on light saber/laser combat to have a perfect Space battle system is asking way too much. It is a different game entirely! Halo could do it, because how the game played from the First to the others was somewhat similar, so they can add these extras because they don't have to change their core gameplay, because it was already near perfect. I am sure they will do more with Space Battles soon, but you are expecting far too much.
  9. I agree and I hope they will change this. I don't think it makes it any less of an MMO. Word on the street is that they want to do more with Space Battles. It's difficult because it is like an entirely different game. This is how it is, and how it always will be. Not much to do to avoid it. New game, it should pick up. All in all: I like where you are coming from with this, but I can't agree that SW is a Single Player game at all. Nor does it feel like it. The quests themselves are devoted to playing with other people (rolling on answers, holocalls ect.). This alone tells me that they are making strides to be as MMOish as possible while still being able to please thoes who may not have as many people to play with. Sure, you can get by without Flashpoints or Heroic Quests, but the rewards are so appealing that it is hard to avoid. Good luck on your future endeavors!
  10. hahahaha He is getting ganked and He mad. There is no rules against this. You are fine. He shouldn't have rolled on a PVP server if he is this pissed about ganking. GANK ON!
  11. As the title hints at I want a concentrated discussion on what other MMOs did that would be nice for SW:TOR. Or any sort of discussion about other MMOs My first MMO was Dark Ages of Camelot. Wanted to know how many of us are still in existence. As an former Midguardian I usually compare a lot of what SW:TOR does, and what WoW does back to the nostalgia that is DAoC. DAoC did RvR extremly well by not just Battle Ground Instances but rather 24 hour battle grounds, and controlling said battleground effected your entire server. WoW set most of the standards today, and there are some things in WoW, that will eventually be integrated into SW:TOR that I can't wait for (Real ID imo most important) Alternatively, if You have not played DAoC I want to know what MMO's you played that did something damn well, and you would like to see integrated within SW:TOR. There are a lot of posts scattered throughout all forums with brilliant comments (and some not so brilliant) about what X game did awesome and what Y did that ruined it. Maybe we could get them all in a single location. I will keep this post updated with what seems to be a popular among the community.
  12. The only problem I have with women in the vent, is that other guild guys will go gaga. It's awful and awkward. Not really a problem, but it's just weird. My most recent experience was that she was so bad, and she got all the DKP. Best wishes.
  13. I don't care about individual players. The inability to kill somebody at level 50 in a Warzone is irrelevant to the mission objective. Do your part FTW and not just mindlessly picking fights to up your kills.
  14. Maybe my server sucks. I sit at 12-14 and I have been PvPing with 3-2 other friends both under 20 and we win more than loose. Yeah I don't have abilities, but as long as you play the objective you are fine. Huttball, we position ourselves to score points, not to kill. We work together on Alderaan to secure a point if our team is good we won't leave. And Voidstar we contribute by constant pressure on O and D. I run away from almost any 1v1 engagement. I play the team game. I get little to no kills, but secure the win is good enough for me.
