  1. Will return when SWTOR is F2P early next year. Hello Diablo!
  2. Add this to the list of poorly designed PvP content. Sadly BW is on the list of another game dev company that doesnt do MMO PvP well.
  3. If space combat PvP was not dev'd during initial development then it could take a long time to release if ever! Most of what is being released now has already been dev'd prior to launch but not pushed until fine tuned and ready to go live. At launch only content that BW deemed most important or absolutely necessary was released. I highly doubt space combat PvP will be released within the first year since BW did not deem it important or steered clear of it in order to be more distant from SWG. This to me is a huge mistake but I am not a game dev so they should know better than me...heh. Though very surprising BW did not realize the potential and how much players enjoyed space combat PvP especially since PvP content as a whole is very thin! Its Star Wars for crying out loud!!!
  4. I believe all that you listed will actually bring back many casual players. lol Many PVPers are casual players that do not grind PVE for hours on end and just want to jump in and PVP. Since WZs take forever to pop and end game open world PVP simply sucks many have left. Another aspect for casual players is BW placing way too much focus on the hopes that players would be content with rolling alt after alt after alt to maintain interest with TOR instead of casuals that simply wanted to stick with a main and play end game PVP and some PVE.
  5. Another MMO that failed with PVP. The PVP crowd like myself have left because there is nothing of interest. I hope BW learned from their Ilum debacle and failed class makeup that makes WZs a frustrating grind. I had hopes for TOR and sure PVE is OK but there are many that want to do things outside of PVE. I did see this coming and will only get worse until BW gets its act together.
  6. I lost interest with TOR specifically due to the lack of end-game PVP and how Ilum was handled. I like some PVE but its the PVP content that keeps me on the server. Sure there are now 4 WZs but are not as fun as I thought they would be since specific classes have an edge with certain WZs as well as tank heal stacking making the team stuck with less heals immediately at a huge disadvantage with players typically bailing at first sign of losing. Thus frustrations while playing WZs = not fun. So for BW to rely on WZs to me is a big mistake. So those of you PVP'ers still in TOR what keeps you playing? Hopes for better PVP in the future?
  7. There is no consequences for dying in PVP in TOR. I prefer to have all options open when playing on a MMO because as I stated before, grinding the same old PVE gets old fast. Sure some can grind and grind and dont mind but not for me. PVP is much more dynamic content when supported properly. So far BW is lacking in the PVP department, mainly Open World End-Game PVP. Ilum, heh..was a good try but failed in execution.
  8. I cant imagine fleet without some form of combat training. I guess it can be PVP light in which you can go to a zone attached to fleet to practice with other players of the same faction. Just a thought since TOR is very limited with PVP content. But TOR now is basically standing around waiting for WZs to pop or doing some PVE for the nth time for gear tokens. I like to do stuff in general. TOR's lack of space combat and PVP limits my choices in-game and quickens my exit from the server.
  9. Not thinking outside the box is for peeps that like to grind that same PVE content over and over and are content with that. Not all players are interested in PVE only or stand around until you find a group to PVE. I agree with most of what OP listed and would offer more to do in game in-between PVE static content. No reason that Fleet cannot have dueling via duel pits/rooms or some other zone that can be reached through fleet. Does not even have to be to the death but practice type chambers for dueling other players. Even with 4 WZs PVP is very limited and open World PVP is typical Gank fest since there is no other purpose for it. With Ilum being offline I hope BW can come up with interesting end-game PVP content before the PVPers pickup and go to the next MMO with PVP potential. Seen MMO after MMO fall to the way side becuase the developer failed to capture proper PVP content. Which for some reason appears to be very difficult to dev well. Sigh. BW made a big mistake assuming taht players would be content playing alt after alt and not only one or two mains.
  10. Lack of end game PVP drove me away from SWTOR. Grinding the same PVE content is boring and PVP tends to add more random player based content. Ilum was a disaster and will not play until SWTOR beefs up its end game PVP.
  11. Lol...yeah for how long. 2 weeks? I lost interest when I got bored with PVP in TOR and Ilum PVP plain sux. There is plenty wrong with the entire PVP system. What makes an MMO great is having things to do in between RAIDs/Group PVE and PVP mode. Like more RP events or community fluff, etc. Yeah you can do dailies but they are dailies. Same $hit different day...yawn in no time! I do agree with OP that a continuation of solo class story line would have been awesome! Perhaps will happen if cap level increased. Add a planet specific to each class would be nice. Oh, and revamp PVP system all-together!
  12. Who cares. PVP content is horrendous so why bother grinding this turd for gear?!? lol
  13. Yeah...WTH?!? Were players using it to annoy others or something? Its been awhile but I recall the Security Vendor Party Droid not playing music any more too. Was that ever fixed?
  14. I believe gear is easy to get because game is designed for players that love to run alts. I for one typically only want to pick a main and perhaps 1 alt and thats it. With such limited PVP I stopped playing. Until TOR releases uber PVP content, space combat PVP, or something epic thats PVP related then I have little interest leveling alt after alt. But that is just me but I know I am not alone or the servers will still be very busy
  15. Working as intended. Why do you think Han Solo kept telling C3-PO to shut the hell up! lol
  16. Bio stepped in it when they expected players to be content with playing alts instead of offering a deep end game experience. For me its all of the little things between RAIDing and PVP mode and with TOR there is nothing! Oh what? Am I supposed to play an alt...ok, I refuse to go the way of the lemmings. Stand around the Fleet Galaxy trader to look at cr ap?!? Nope, not my thing. Other faults aside from lacking end-game PVP/WorldPVP is little guild support. No guild cities?!? Really?!? OK, I will put effort into crafting...wait, that sux! What else to do? OK I guess I can spam to find a PVE RAID or group instance, fine...few weeks go by. Lets do same old PVE instances since there is nothing else to do. That got boring ASAP and server pop lower making groups not as easy as to build as before...sigh. Got it space combat! Yeah lets get into that. Oh, space on rails and no faction vs faction space PVP....yawn. What to do? What to do? Got it! Post what I hate about SWTOR and be called a troll for it. Yeah, that'll do for now....
  17. Wait no Guild cities?!? And one WZ, oh and removing PVP Ilum quests to make Ilum irrelevant and World PVP to nothingness until Bio figures it out!?! Cant wait
  18. Not soon enuff since 1.2 has stuff that should have been in game at launch!
  19. 1) I love to PVP. I gave SWTOR a shot and I do not see SWTOR holding my interest in the long haul. To me what makes a MMO great is all the little things you can do casually. TOR's PVP is very limited, crafting is a joke, no sense of community in game (no guild city?!?), etc... Do you see the servers at Heavy like before? I cant speak for all but Bioware failed at end game and that is what they are now trying to fix. Sure 1.2 is coming out and it better be epic to keep SWTOR interesting. 2) I paid Bioware so can do whatever I like in the forums. Feel free to write me a refund check or live with it.
  20. I stopped playing SWTOR because the PVP is so stale. Ilum is a bore fest and WZs became more aggravating than fun due to class stacking and class imbalances with whacky classes (Tanks doing more DPS than DPS classes...lol, Tanks with uber heals, clothie tanks, etc). Will become more interested when PVP has much more content to grind than the puny end-game PVP it has now. Good luck and I am off to Diablo III
  21. Seriously, how did you screw that up?!? Then again that may be how Yoda would have said it...lol.
  22. Kinda funny how peeps are siding with Lucas. How much money he has again? If Prowse was a big time actor with money then boo hoo but not like he had tons of work and not to pay him anything is low.
  23. Another reason to see how greedy George Lucas is. Copied from site discussing shady Hollywood accounting: David Prowse, the guy who was in the Darth Vader costume in the original trilogy of Star Wars (before being ousted by that douche Hayden Christensen in the special edition) has never been paid for Return of the Jedi because it hasn’t turned a profit after nearly 30 years. That’s after dozens of home video and theatrical re-releases. (All the merchandising money goes to Lucas directly, of course.) Quote from Prowse: “I get these occasional letters from Lucasfilm saying that we regret to inform you that as Return of the Jedi has never gone into profit, we’ve got nothing to send you. Now here we’re talking about one of the biggest releases of all time,” said Prowse. “I don’t want to look like I’m bit ching about it,” he said, “but on the other hand, if there’s a pot of gold somewhere that I ought to be having a share of, I would like to see it.” I find this hard to believe but wow!
  24. /piss emote alone will make me keep my sub for another month!
