  1. The game isn't exactly competitive at level 35. Aside from the fact that it's a minimal stat increase, they aren't even level 50 items.
  2. I don't think it's a matter of it being difficult. It's that this game's budget has probably been completely gutted compared to release. Most of their budget is likely dedicated to the launch of "free to play (trial)", and the content we've been getting is just one major patch that's been on the back-burner broken up into tiny chunks to postpone things. Features like paid character transfer are likely low priority.
  3. EA's goal is clearly to make free to play (basically trial) players suffer as much as possible. Literally everything outside of leveling, including basically every quality of life perk is stripped away or severely limited. I don't care since I'm a subscriber, but I don't think it's the best way to get people to subscribe with their game. Personally, I'd get frustrated and not even play.
  4. A simple recall to your ship that's on a short cooldown would cut down on a lot of load times. Unfortunately, I don't think Bioware cares.
  5. I think more people are frustrated with Bioware/EA's constant empty promises and failures with the game more than the game itself. Since launch, we've been fed nothing but false hope and promises that the game will get better. I'm still waiting...
  6. It's been more than a month since 1.3, a patch with zero content, was released. We haven't heard a SINGLE thing about patch 1.4, and they want to promise us faster content updates? Seems like another empty promise to add to the list. Enough with the talk, Bioware. It's time you actually come through with your promises.
  7. Things to do at level 50 that doesn't involve PVP, Raiding, and 5-mans. Get creative, Bioware.
  8. It is getting pretty ridiculous. It seems like every week there are 2-3 maintenance nights. For a game that has been out for over seven months, that isn't a good thing.
  9. Dual Spec Cross-server LFG New raid New 5-man New warzone Some incentive for geared players so they will run flashpoints (satchel similar to WoW?) Reputations to grind A ton of mounts and pets, and a way to grind for them Mini games (casino on nar shadaa?)
  10. This will probably work for level 50. But 1-49, the queues suck for everyone, tanks and healers included.
  11. I saw this coming from a mile away. It should of been cross-server. The whole "server community" thing is a joke. Server communities are a joke. I see no increased quality in server communities here at all vs games with cross-server tools. Just another failed experiment.
  12. Judging by the small amount of destination servers compared to origin servers, it's pretty obvious they're looking to drastically reduce the amount of servers. However, no one knows how long those origin servers will be open before Bioware forces you to move.
  13. There is zero incentive for a Rakata geared player to run flashpoints. That's a big problem.
  14. Queues go away. This whole server problem was caused by not letting queues expire on their own in the first place and creating new servers that weren't needed. FULL servers are a GOOD THING in MMORPGs.
  15. I'd like to see some stuff that's planned for 1.4. New content, huge features. Showing off achievements and reputations perhaps.
  16. Everything publicly a giant technical endeavor to undertake. While other companies just get things done and don't make excuses for everything. While it could be tough, this seems to be the canned response for anything and everything having to do with SWTOR.
  17. The low and mid-level armor looks great. It's the tier armor in this game that is a major fail. They completely lost touch of what Star Wars design looks like. Star Wars design with slight creative flare is what I was expecting. What we have is some WoW/SWTOR confused bastard child armor.
  18. Doubtful. I've followed this game since the day it was announced back in 2008, and I've defended Bioware in the past. But they're passed that new game defense threshold. The game has been out five months, and we've seen two major patches (one of them, 1.1, wasn't even that large). Bioware needs to step up their game. I might resub after 1.3, but the continued dense thought process of the devs when confronted with questions such as server merges and cross-realm features casts further doubt on the survival of this game. They've already managed to shun the general MMO fanbase, and all that's really left are either the ultra-dedicated Biodrones, or those waiting out the free 30 days and are ready to jump to a different product.
  19. I look forward to this when it's done in a year's time. Seriously, the pace that Bioware is working to rescue this game so slow, I think they rival Blizzard. They need to take the Trion approach with this game.
  20. Why I should care about server pops: 20 people or less on my fleet during primetime.
  21. I really dislike early access for games. I've never been a fan of it at all. However, I doubt it's the worst thing that happened to SWTOR. The worst thing that happened to SWTOR was the over-emphasis of story at the expense of critical MMO elements. I would of given up voice acting and cinematic storytelling on side quests if the budget went towards a less buggy raid experience, a more developed pvp endgame, UI features, a better engine, and a proper group finder tool at launch.
  22. Saying casuals are the reason for SWTORs loss in subs is a completely cop out on EA's part. 1-50 is the best part about this game, the part casuals likely enjoy the most. The game at 50; the raids, the dungeons, the warzones, world pvp, lack of features - all things hardcores can find in another MMO are lacking severely. The only people I personally know other than me that are still playing SWTOR are my friends who hate MMO endgame and are enjoying the leveling. Everyone I know that can be considered a hardcore has left and went back to that other game.
  23. Too many issues with the game, poor communication from the community team, and the all around deafening silence from Bioware has killed any excitement for SWTOR.
  24. Sadly, the tool will only be worth using on a handful of realms that aren't dead. It's a failure before it's out if it isn't going to be cross-realm.
