  1. No. The devs already stated at in the Cantina tour that the Sith Nathema boy Vitiate was not the original and that he was being possessed.
  2. No that doesnt make it canon.. Bioware devs stated even though SWTOR isnt canon Disney has given permission to continue the story they want to tell. These events just dont take place in the D-SW canon
  3. Clearly dismissing the facts even presented to you in video evidence by expert swordsman....Too shame and in denial. Thread out.
  4. That means nothing. ONE slip and ONE push between two NORMAL lightsabers will mean dismemberment or DEATH. Its clearly stated in the video by a expert swordsman that "No I dont think thats a big deal, If your used to it or been PRACTICISING(KEY WORD HERE, PRACTISING) for a long time you'd be used to it. Kenobi clearly states in Episode 4 you can cut your own damn hand off with a NORMAL lightsaber if you arent a force sentitive thats been trained. I can recall plenty of times when the owner of the lightsaber would let the blade get close to his body/face when doing fancy moves. Its pretty clear that the character with the cross guard saber isnt going to be using the same moves from the PT/OT. He will have his own specific style due to the blade. TLDR: The Crossguards will NOT be a danger as he is specificically trained to his own personal lightsaber STYLE.
  5. Did you even watch the video? Its explained in ONE sentence. Just because you dont understand doesnt make it dangerous to the wielder.
  6. Thanks. If anything people shouldve been complaining about Maul's double bladed lightsaber in EP1. Several swordsman have said that a dbl bladed lightsaber would be ineffective and shouldnt work the way it did in the battle with Obiwan and Quigon. Long story short Maul shouldve been killed in two swings as its impossible for Maul to block a 2nd hit from another opponent. But why didnt people complain? Because it looked "cool"...
  7. Not even close, ask anyone who practices and they will tell you otherwise. You clearly wouldnt use it all if you werent trained properly. The Crossguard is a VERY effective tool. Any expert swordsman will tell you this. SEE: What you have here is a negative reaction by people who have know nothing.
  8. The design of this lightsaber is more practical then any other in canon. It seriously never made sense in the first place that the jedi never had the crossguards designed in mind when making there lightsaber. You see this in AOTC when Dooku beats Kenobi by sliding his blade down. It would still be necessary, You can now kill others because the cross guards are mini lightsabers and are a very useful tool in short range combat. This very same technique was used in the 14th century when the opponent came too close to the crossguards. Its specifically taught that the blade is NOT the only part of the weapon. I have a feeling that anyone complaining about the practicability of the Crossguard offensively knows nothing about Medieval swordplay.
  9. The electrostaffs in Episode 3 were lightsaber resistant made out of Phrik Alloy....Now that Phrik Alloy hasnt been brought into the new canon the electrostaffs are made up of an unknown lightsaber resistant material. Even Palpatines lightsaber was stated in the ROTS novel to be made out of Phrik Alloy.
  10. I actually liked the old form of a lightsaber, it shows me that the lightsaber evolved over time. I always hated the idea that in the old EU that it never improves. Its seems pretty apparent now that the old sith in canon never used a modern day lightsaber. They were more like hybrid slash weapons. Especially with the example of Darth Bane and his pike-saber. Now the question is whether the jedi had the technology of a modern day lightsaber or used something similar to the old sith. Im assuming Driver's characters collects the ancient form of lightsaber from a famously known sith lords tomb.
  11. No idea what your talking about tbh. I know what rebels is and have seen all the episodes, Kanaan, Ezra etc. Im specifically talking about EP7.
  12. The inquisitors rumour is fake...There are no jedi to hunt as Luke is the only jedi whose been in hiding for 10+ years.
  13. The emperor storyline is being continued in the expansion
  14. No. That isnt Revan. He is played by Adam Driver and from what the strong rumours suggest he is the son of Han and Leia. IIRC the main villain of the trilogy is either Darth Plagueis or the first sith Darth Ruin. It depends if JJ Abrama changed the script around enough from the 2nd draft.
  15. Not at all. It was stated that some council members truly thought Baras was the voice, others didnt and others allied with Baras as it would increase there own personal power. In terms of Wrath vs Nox the Wrath has the sole best feat in the game which is beating the emperors voice while being amped by Sel Makor.
  16. From the Force Boards member unlimited power -Plagueis really is Sidious' master, he's not something Sidious made up just to dupe Anakin. -Sidious was still Plagueis' apprentice several years after he was appointed as Naboo senator. It is not clear if Plagueis lives until the events of TPM as is the case in DP novel. -Plaguies once remarked that "the Force can strike back". Sidious ultimate goal is to make certain that the Force could not strike back. -Related to the point above, Sidious seeks to use the power of the dark side to reshape reality itself, to fashion his own universe. He remarked that he wants influence of the ultimate sort, not just mere immortality like Plagueis. -Plagueis' species is not mentioned. -Plagueis' end is not elaborated. Sidious only remarked that Plagueis could not foreseen his apprentice becoming an Emperor. - Unrelated but interesting, the Jedi temple ,which is now Sidious' palace, is built on top of an ancient Sith shrine. This is a closely guarded secret among Sith Lords who planned the revenge against the Jedi, which I assume is the Bane line but I'm not sure. Jedi that knows of its existence thought that the power in the shrine had been neutralized but in truth it has seeped upwards to the Jedi temple playing a part in weakening the Jedi order. This shrine is now Sidious' secret lair, not even Vader is aware of its existence, yet. -Sidious was using the Death Star to study the dark side of the force
  17. Ravage* And nha. You need to read the novel to get a better idea of how the dark council works. It states that Marr wanted to put Karrid straight on the council but couldnt since he would recieve major backlash from the other council members.
  18. In the novel the real guys in power were stated to be Marr, Vowrawn, Rictus, Mortis and Rictus, With Darth Marr considered to be the "leader". Although he still couldnt do what he wanted in the face of those other dark council members,.
  19. its already been confirmed Darth Bane started the rule of two a thousand years before the movie. Darth Bane An ancient and legendary Sith Lord, it was Darth Bane who saw that the Sith traditions of old were ultimately a dead end. All too often, squabbling Sith in their bid for power upended carefully laid plans. After the Sith were decimated by the Jedi Knights of a thousand years ago, Bane enacted the Sith rule of two: there would be only two active Sith at one time -- a Dark Lord to embody the power, and an apprentice to crave it. These Sith would operate in the shadows, favoring guile and conspiracy to bring down their opponents rather than brute force -- that is, until it was time to rise and subjugate the galaxy.
  20. these pics are sorta old. Anyways the pretty big rumour is that at the end of EP7 Luke has already turned to the dark side. Whats interesting about this rumour is that the Original ROTJ ending had Luke turning to the dark side and wanting to conquer the universe. Hamill wanted this to happen and Kasdan strongly pushed for this ending but Lucas changed his mind. Now with Kasdan working on the rewrite of the script maybe he did get his wish fulfilled. Though its been described that a character appearing is wearing a helmet that looks very similar to Darth Bane
  21. Bioware paid nothing for the voice dialogue when the game released. It was all provided by LucasArts. Not sure if it changed after release. I've definetly heard multiple things about whether the VA was expensive or not. A Dev said on these forums or in a Q&A that the VA was expensive
  22. From what I read there will be one class mission in the Revan expansion. However it will not be linked to your Act 3 story/finale in any way.
