Sorry about the Spoiler slip and thanks for the info. It wasn't obvious that it was over and even at Level 50, my EX bar shows 0 out of 5xx,xxx like there is more experience to come. I just couldn't tell if it was over because it appeard like every planet has a Sith and Imp to kill to move on for a Trooper. Sorry if this upset anyone.

The last Quest I received was to go to Republic Fleet and then to Ilum? Does this mean the story line is over because it sure looked over when I still have 8 Datacrons to get unless there are some also on Ilum. Plus, I have some Armstech to finish.

This is my first MMO and it is kind of fun not knowing who you are playing along side. It could be a 12 year old kid, a 22 year old professional gamer (aka no job and lots of beer), or an older person just enjoying the game after work. My Mom (age 60) wants to play starting this fall and I am going to start a new character to travel around helping her complete missions. I have little interest in PvP so it doesn't matter how fast you can hit 1 or 2 or how many buttons you have on your mouse. Its all good.

Thanks, I forgot about sending companions and I didn't know I could send them on lower level runs. There are also around 4 datacrons on lower planets that had big bad guys near them that I need to go and get. Thanks again for everyones help.

I have scavenging and slicing as my skills and they are both at level 400 max'd out. However, My armstech is at 75 and I can't buy any more armstech skills until I get to 80. I have a ship storage full of materials but no material left for the low level stuff. Do I have to go back to low level planets to scavenge for low grade materials just to get over the level 80 hump or is there another way. BTW, I am a Trooper and just turned level 50 on Corellia.

My Trooper and Dorne looked a mess all the time while leveling. Green, Orange, Blue, and all colors in between. There was even a Helmet that made Dorne shave her head? I hated it the entire time. I would consider staying weaker just to have a matching set but even that wasn't possible. I hope at Level 50 (at 49 now), I can just buy a complete set of something and mod it correctly. We are the Rainbow Troopers not the Republic Troopers.

All of my planets are almost empty. Most times I play with 3 or 4 people on the planet. If there are every 10, it is a really busy planet on my server. So, I skip all HEROIC 4's but do all quests and all bonus missions and I am usually ahead of my planet by a level or 2. I also go get all Datacrons on a planet before leaving (except the ones that are protected by serious bad guys). HEROIC 2+'s are occassionally doable alone but usually I try and sneak around the bad guys in those areas and just get the Quest done. This is kind of fun because I am a Commando and sneaking around is not usually part of my game.

Could you explain the sentance for me: "Our AOE is good on trash in Flashpoints/Operations and on some boss fights that have adds that need to be AOE'd down so it is not just for leveling." Although I am near Level 50 as Commando Assault Specialist, this is my first MMO and I have no idea what the sentance actually means. Just trying to learn to make my Commando better before I enter PvP and just get killed all the time. Thanks for any help.

Thanks, I will try some of these suggestions. Maybe at this Level, I have to pay more attention to the details on how and when to use each weapon. Up until now, I just ran into battle and unloaded max damage as quick as possible . Worked fine until very recently. I will try to be more strategic now. (Level 50 in about 1 more hour of playing) However, I am all of a sudden taking on way more damage then normal. Can I effect at all how much damage I take besides Datacrons and Orange Armor modded appropriately? Does moving around actually do anything? I need to run the 12 second shield, freeze the enemy, shock the enemy back, use adrenalin rush, and still are all of a sudden getting killed by Boss's with half their HP remaining? Very weird, Started on Voss very recently.

I agree 100%. Any big boss and I am down to using hammer shots hoping Elara can keep me healed long enough to get some ammo to build back up. At this point, I just want to finish but I am not sure I can kill the Boss's at these high levels. Plus, my server is very empty, so there is no asking for help. Commando Assault Specialist has been fun until Level 48 or until the last server patch. Not sure which one, but something has changed. Still, Mobs are easy to deal with using the Mortar Shell and Plastic Explosive. Boss's are a problem.

I don't want to add to the whining but something really changed in my Commando. I only do PvE and since my planets have 3 or 4 people on it at anytime, I am pretty much alone (HEROIC 4's are never an option). So, I do all of the story lines, all of the bonus missions, and if I can, the HEROIC 2+'s. Now, I am getting boot stomped by Bosses that I would have killed with a little life to spare a month ago. I only play weekends and am not an expert. I have my Orange gear with mods from the last planet that I finish. My attack is similar. Motar Round to start, kill off weak to hard in that order, and use the other grenade and Hammer Shot for the rest of the attack. I will add in shield, freeze, ammo refill, and most bosses require a quick Medpack near the end. Dorne keeps me mostly healed. However, now, I just get killed like I have no armor by bosses. I am Level 49 with the Assault Specialist Tree filled. If someone has a better way for me to finish my last planet without dieing so much, I would appreciate any info. Note: I will look up all the odd accronyms like cc, aoe, blah, blah, but I am an old fart just trying to keep enjoying this MMO with only 4 people on any planet. Oh yeah, I have almost every Datacron (not that I think they help much). Thanks

I have spent a few hours going back and getting Datacrons. One thing that is nice is to go back and get them when you are strong. Then none of the mobs matter at all and I can then focus on the moves. My jumping seqence appears best to use two hands. A quick tap of the jump key (INS) followed by the press to move forward. My Jump key cannot be pressed at the same time as the move forward or my guy stumbles and falls. One jump tap, then press forward. The only other decision is whether to have SPEED on or off depending on how far you wish to jump. Hope this helps. It was horrible for me until I finally got jumping under control. The next item that is horrible for me is space missions which I will practice next week...

Not sure what has happened to yours. Actually, I get the messages but didn't even know I was supposed to be reading something / somewhere when these messages arrive. I am at level 31 and didn't even know I have a codex. I thought it was just giving us EXP. Where is the Codex to read?

When I am in a group and we have to roll for an item. There appears only 2 choices. Greed or Need. However, someone also stated they opt'd out of the roll somehow. Could someone explain why I should choose each one of these three options, how I know if I need something, and how does it effect the roll. I just don't want to tick people off.
