Pass on the shield thing, seems too much as well as an invulnerability But I do think Hydraulic Overrides should give us immunity to stuns as well, so once we do our break and activate HO to get out of Shyt we dont get stunned again, increase its speed to 50%. I agree KO should have an damage reduction of 30% to stack with Stabilized armor (30% damage reduction from AOE and all sources while stunned). Chaff flare should give us a higher defense then the 25% it does under IO.
  2. really you dont get focused during ranked or 4v4? Our cooldowns with kiting i can hang with just any class but when we are focused and stunlocked in a 4v4 its an insta kill.
  3. you really went with the "tell us how" haha seriously what are you 12? it doesn't "gimp" your dps. Defense Augs do carry 34 power per augment. does power not give you more dps? please stop now and say, "you know what thats just not for me" instead of being ignorant.
  4. Ya having defense on a DPS character is crazy talk right? feel free to not use any of the following while in pvp then. (Warriors) "Saber Ward" Increases defense by 50% for 12 Seconds (Assassins) "Deflection" Increase defense by 50% for 12 seconds (Agents) "Evasion" 200% defense for 3 seconds (Hunters) ZERO but They added 25% to chaff flare and 30% to sonic missile because it isn't of value right? Devs OBVIOUSLY see value in dps having defense. Now you can express your opinion of giving up "some" dps to add a higher defense chance, sure but when focused we shatter like glass giving us no chance to put out any dps HENCE trying to add defense to survive longer to put out dps.
  5. Your proposal doesn't work in any type of defensive cooldown to survive a focused attack (which is our greatest weakness). Our survivability 1v1 is fine but i would agree that "Torque Boosters" should put our movement at something like 50% as well as still adding 4 seconds to its duration. But The problem is, in ranked pvp (4v4) our lack of defensive cooldowns when focused cant keep us alive long enough to matter. We die so quickly its almost as if it becomes a 3v4 when we are on the team. We need something to survive an initial attack to survive long enough for us to do some damage or the rest of the team to do some damage.... Your thoughts?

Straight to the point with the changes then the reasons why for you who hate a huge explanation of why bla bla bla we all know why we need another defensive cooldown haha. ========================================================= First, "Chaff Flare" can now be used while stunned (passive ability) Second, Chaff flare reduces the accuracy of all enemies within 10 meters by 45% for 8 seconds, Activating Chaff Flare while stunned reduces all enemies accuracy within 10 meters by 90% for 4 seconds. Possibly instead of reducing all enemies accuracy by 90% while stunned give us 90% defense chance instead so its just the merc that is shielded so not to mess up pvp game play and just save the Mercs butt so we aren't insta killed. With this option keep the 45% accuracy outside of being stunned though. ======================================================== Ok my reasoning behind the numbers. The Devs seem persistent on not adding another ability but revamping our current ones like Arsenal Mercs have "Decoy" which makes Chaff Flare absorb next attack and Innovative Ordnance "Degauss" which makes Chaff Flare increases your defense chance by 25% for 6 seconds. So scrap them both put my idea in the Mercenary/Commando utility. It should help mercenaries/commandos be more viable in pvp. the 90% while stunned will definitely save our butts from being insta killed when the opposing group has to 2-4 stealth DPS characters focusing you. I gave the mercs/mandos the 45% accuracy reduction outside of being stunned because it would increase their vaule with a ranked group if they had some kind of contribution besides their dps and the fact that they are always, ALWAYS target number 1. This would help with group utility. To the merc/mando noobs, we have been given alot of mobility in 3.0 , if you aren't kiting while being attacked you don't know how to merc/mando pvp. if you want to stand still and dps roll a Powertech/Vanguard.
  7. You'll dodge 40% of the time while the 6 seconds of Chaff Flare is active. If you look at your character screen and go to defense and put your cursor over defense chance it will tell you something like "your chance to dodge or resist attacks". When i pop Chaff Flare i do see myself resist or dodge attacks. You see it in red pop over your character during combat.
  8. Innovative Ordnance gain the most from this if you want to try and get another defensive cooldown (sorta). Using Innovative Ordnance "Chaff Flare" increases defense chance by 25% for 6 seconds with a 45 second Cooldown, If you use 10 defense augments it will bring your base defense chance up to 15%, 40% with while chaff flare is active. Strictly a PVP thing that i use since we are so damn squishy it isn't even funny.
  9. AGREE! Priming Shot is a horrible animation. Id prefer something like the merc uses both hands center mass on 1 pistol ( Yes 1) and a recoil like animation after the shot. what do yall think? very difficult to make cool animation for pistol shots there are only so many positions.
  10. DEVS, What was the purpose of changing barrage (under arsenal) from 25% to 10%? did you guys boost several other abilities to offset this? or did you feel unload was too powerful? Thanks

How about something different like the Merc holds 1 pistol with both hands and when he shoot, it has a kick back animation to it or instead of using his pistols he holds up his arm similar to how the rail shot works but maybe a small barrel rises from his forearm to make some sort or shot. I get using pistols for every thing but a Merc has much much more then pistols in his arsenal. Lastly my final idea that strays away from this particular ability is an ability i call "No Mercy" same thing as Death From Above but with his pistols, just unloading in an Area of the ground in automatic fire from his pistols.

Agreed, Mercs are much like a sniper but the difference is that snipers not only have a lot of ways to get out of trouble but they have hunker down given them 20 seconds of immunity from all controlling effects, and now they can leave hunker down and still benefit from it once they go into cover again. Love the merc class and that they are trying to make us less interruptable but our survivablity is crazy low.

  17. good comments and i agree with taking damage oppose to avoiding it, keep my same input on revamping "power surge" and instead of the defense chance change it to a 40% damage reduction for 2 1/2 mins.I still feel the need to add a new ability not further revamp our current defensive ones because it will still just leave us with 2 defensive cooldowns. IMO it doesn't matter too much on which defensive cooldowns they add to the BH/TRP as long as they give us another one. Thanks for input keep commenting guys!
  18. Dear Bioware, Love some of the gear you guys put into the cartel packs, ("some" alot of re-skins and re-colors). Could you please start to give back and create some gear that you can obtain from world drops (not mission rewards). Back when it was valuable to get gear drop from mobs and sell stuff like Supreme Inquistors Robe, Jedi Battlelord's Vest TT-17A Hydra Body Armor or actually look on the GTN for gear in any other place besides the Adaptable gear section. Frown on buying credits yet when you purchase a hypercrate for 80 bucks ( two 5500 CC ) and get several valued mounts and headpieces to make 10 million credits. Put some of that stuff in the game

I never said they are the weakest tanking class, i said they are lacking in defensive cooldowns compared to the other 2. you didn't seem to read my post at all when i stated these were their abilities outside of the skill tree (Base abilities) and yet you listed both abilities having to be spec'd into ( Heat Blast/ Oil slick ), I did that so not to get in a lengthy comparison of each abilities in all of the 3 skill trees. But here is the Juggs equal. Crushing Blow/Invincible is the Juggs ability, here is a quick summary of it. Crushing Blow= strikes the target for 2k damage increasing your damage reduction by 3% for 20 seconds. damages up to 4 other targets, does not damage sleep, lifted or incapacitated targets, knocks down standard and weak enemies as well as generates a high about of threat. Invincible = reduces damage by 40% for 10 seconds. 2 min 30 second cooldown Also i never said PT/VG have Powersurge/Mass Accelerator i suggested to change this ability to make a defensive cooldown and give it both that's why i said Bounty Hunter/ Trooper given that a BH/TR abilities are shared by both advance classes and PT/VG is an advanced class or BH/TR. Kolto Overload should give you a benefit if above 35%, especially if you activate it and it never triggers and still goes on a 3 minute cooldown when every other defensive ability by the other classes can be used to mitigate damage throughout a fight making yourself much easier to heal. i did make a mistake i previously listed Invincible into the base abilities when it does have to be spec'd into, i corrected this, brain fart on my part.

Given the obvious of Bounty Hunters/ Troopers having the lowest defensive capabilities to get them out of trouble and that the DEVS have stated they will not create a new ability outside of an expansion. I have thought of a way to upgrade the Bounty Hunters/Troopers current abilities. I have chosen to revamp “Power Surge/ Tech Override". First is a list of the abilities unchanged, and second is a revamped list of my suggestions on how it could be. ORIGINAL ABILITIES: (Mercenary)Power Surge = Your next ability with an activation time will activate instantly. (Commando)Tech Override = Your next ability with an activation time will activate instantly. (Mercenary)Propulsion Systems = Increases the range of Incendiary Missile and Thermal Detonator by 20 meters. PASSIVE ABILITY (Commando)Mass Accelerator = Increases the range of Incendiary Round and Assault Plastique by 20 meters. PASSIVE ABILITY REVAMPED ABILITIES: (Bounty Hunter)Power Surge = Overloads your bounty hunters suit increasing your force, tech and range defense chance by 50%. Effect last 15 seconds. 2 Minute Cooldown (Trooper)Tech Override = Overloads your tech increasing your force, tech and range defense chance by 50%. Effect last 15 seconds. 2 Minute Cooldown (Mercenary)Propulsion Systems = Increases the range of Incendiary Missile and Thermal Detonator by 20 meters in addition activating power surge makes your next ability with an activation time activate instantly. PASSIVE ABILITY (Commando)Mass Accelerator = Increases the range of Incendiary Round and Assault Plastique by 20 meters in addition activating Tech Override makes your next ability with an activation time activate instantly. PASSIVE ABILITY Given that all of Powertech/Vanguards abilities are already instant there was no need to give them the instant activation. Tanking wise, Powertech/Vanguard’s defensive abilities are lacking tremendously behind the other 2 tanks in the game, how this has not be corrected yet baffles me. To show you guys the comparisons between all the tanks defensive abilities here they are cliff notes style. Keep in mind these are their base abilities without being spec’d in to. JUGGERNAUT: 4 Abilities Saber Reflect = reflects all single damage for 5 seconds. 1 min cooldown Saber Ward = increases melee/range defense by 50% and reduces damage from force and tech attacks by 25% for 12 seconds. 2 min 30 second cooldown Enraged Defense = Gives 10 charges last 30 seconds, when you take damage each charge heals you for 1200+ health. 2 min cooldown Endure Pain = Temporary increase health by 30% for 20 seconds. 1 min cooldown ASSASSIN: 3 Abilities Overcharged Saber = Immediately restores 15% of your max health, Increases the chance of all your charges to hit by 35% and there damage by 100%, healing you for 500+ health when they are triggered 2 minute cooldown Force Shroud = Removes all hostile effects and increases your chance to resist all force and tech attacks by 100% for 3 seconds. 1 min cooldown Deflection = Increase range and melee defenses by 50% for 12 seconds. 2 Minute cooldown POWERTECH: 2 Abilities Energy Shield = Increase damage reduction by 25% for 15 seconds. 2 min cooldown Kolto Overload = Puts a health monitor on you for 60 seconds, if you fall below 35% of your health it will rapidly bring you up to but not exceed 35% of your health for 8 seconds. 3 Minute Cooldown Powertech’s 25% damage reduction compared to a 40% damage reduction and 50% defense chance (defense chance is chance to completely not get hit, that 50% is on top of their current defense) that 25% needs to be upgraded. Keep in mind, Kolto Overload puts a monitor on you for 60 seconds BUT regardless if you fall below 35% or not, after the 60 seconds is up it still goes on a 3 minute cooldown, Are you kidding me? Bioware does get credit for making Kolto Overload unique by not giving it a boring percentage defense/dmg reduction but giving the reverse and a mass overload of healing, very cool. My suggestion to revamp Kolto Overload Kolto Overload = If above 35% of your max health Kolto overload puts a monitor on you healing you of 40% of incoming damage for 8 seconds, if activated below 35% of your health it will rapidly bring you up to but not exceed 35% of your health for 8 seconds. 2 minute cooldown The facts speak for themselves. Please give me your feedback. I do have a lot of experience playing all of these characters in PVE and PVP, I have 9 level 55’s 7 are relevant to this post, Powertech, Vanguard, 2 Mercenaries, Commando, Juggernaut and Assassin.
  21. this was before adapative and the whole scale of speeder license was in the game so to to accommodate everyone who took part in the Chevin event under level 50, they made it 90% so everyone could use it once they purchased it.
  22. I have made 2 threads on AT LEAST scaling up the Hyrotii Scrapper to 110% with no luck. BIOWARE ***? i usual dont cuss but damn guys its really simple, everyone who has it wants it this way, you find me one, ONE! person who says they dont want it scaled and i'll show you a liar.
