  1. Also in the middle of the recruitment process here. I actually used to be a member in the past before leaving SWTOR as a regular a while back. Came back since everyone is very friendly and Pax as a whole (even beyond SWTOR) is a great group of folks.
  2. I'm a new 55 and am working through the Oricon story for some better gear. Right now, I have Talos as my companion to heal me. He's okay, but it seems like most groups of mobs still get me down to at least 50% health. In terms of soloing mobs and dailies, what companion should I be using and gearing up? Maybe Khem so that I have a tank to soak the damage? Someone recommended HK-51 the other day.
  3. I bought one two weeks ago when I resubbed and moved my PC away from the router. It hasn't let me down yet. Funny thing is that I went to Office Depot to just get a wireless PCI card and they had none whatsoever. Only the USB things. I too was doubtful, so I bought the cheapeast $30 one just in case I wanted to return it and order a PCI card from a place like Newegg. But thus far it's been great. No regrets.
  4. Close - Knoxville here on POT5 (Vredick).
  5. As the title says, looking for an active IMP PvP guild on POT5. Currently leveling lvl32 Juggernaut. First started back in beta, and resubbed a couple of weeks ago to get in on GSF (which I"m enjoying as well). Want to be a part of some decent Warzone groups that like to have fun and help others get better. I do also like the occasional Flashpoints, and wouldn't mind trying Operations at some point either. I'm usually on in the evenings after 9PM EST. Shoot me a message in game to this toon: Vredick
  6. Since I resubed again two weeks ago, I haven't seen Ancient Hypergate even once. I'd gladly trade Huttball for it any day.

Add Vredick as a friend on POT5 when you get a chance. Maybe we can get the guild formed on the Imp side late tonight (which is when I'm usually on around 9:30 EST).

So how folks on the Imperial side of things have shown interest thus far?
  9. So I've been leveling an Immortal Juggernaut. I'm sub 55 right now. I've enjoyed the survivability of the Immortal spec thus far in PvP, but all of the talk I see is that you want one of the other two specs for PvP as opposed to the Tank/Immortal route. Does everyone feel that an Immortal spec Juggernaut is just not that useful in warzones? Thanks.

Ha, I know how you feel. You just need to find what ship and setup works best for you. I'd also suggest watching Dulfy's setup for the scout class here: Best I've gotten is about 8 kills in a single match. Average more like 3-4 though. More often than not though, it's the team that caps 2 of the three objectives first that wins. But I'm loving the play style so far

This sounds great. I think that I'll transfer to POT5 today and join up. I'm usually on EST after 9PM. Also, if anyone is interested in Galactic Starfighter, I'm enjoying that a lot too.
  12. Agreed with others on The Ebon Hawk. Wait times in the evening are somewhere around 2-3 minutes. Now I just need to find a guild that is active in GSF in The Ebon Hawk.
  13. In to see who else might respond. I too am on Ebon Hawk and like PvP and GSF. Looking for a guild that is into GSF since I've also been gone a long time. And with a new game mechanic, like GSF, I'm not at a major disadvantage (i.e. under-geared) by being out of the game for more than a year.
  14. I'll give a shout out to Rainous. Was nice to have him on my side recently, and not so much the other way Anyone know of any guilds actively participating in GSF that are recruiting?
  15. I asked the same earlier and haven't gotten a reply yet. I resubed a a couple of days ago after being out for more than a year. Resubbed for Galactic Starfighter, which is a lot of fun. I'd like to get back in a guild that is participating in Galactic Starfigher. I'm just leveling a lvl21 Jugg right now though. My only 50 is a sorcerer right now. Edit > Oh, and I see that you are rebel scum, so no grouping there anyway. Best of luck to you. From what I understand Ebon Hawk is one of the most active servers. Wondering myself if I might switch though.
  16. So I've been out of SWTOR regularly for a little over a year or so (started playing GW2 when it was released). I've been a few times under F2P since then. But, I'm a huge Star Wars fan and decided to resub upon the release of Galactic Starfighter (which I really like so far). Are there any guilds that are doing a lot in GSF so far on The Ebon Hawk? In know this is an RP/PvE server, but I do like PvP quite a bit. I also always like the community here and don't want to transfer servers. Definitely would like to get back into PvE a little as well. Only have a single lvl 50 toon at the moment, and am working on leveling another which I want to get to 55 eventually. Thanks in advance!
  17. Yeah, keybinds are def the answer. Still, on my Marauder, I had 24 things bound to my keys (could have had about 4-5 more too). And, I was constantly using them all! Just seems a little overboard,so I understand where the OP is coming from here.
  18. How else would you choose the "area of effect?"
  19. We're not OP. If you want to kill us, just roll a smuggler or an operative (for same faction WZs of course) as they are the clear counters for Marauders. Lately, I do my best in WZs to stay away from those two classes as they have the abilities to stun-lock me to death or kill me before I can close the gap. I think balance is good actually. Most classes have natural counters. Don't complain because your class isn't that counter. Your class (whatever that may be) should be targeting some class/role as a priority (if your not working on objectives). As a marauder, I burn down healers or other targets that have been marked as a priority (while staying away from 1v1 with smugglers and stun-locking operatives). EDIT: But you are probably correct on the volume of Marauders. However, that's how things go I suppose. People will naturally do what works best. A class shouldn't be nerfed (not that this what you stated of course) simply to thin out the population.
  20. I did the very same 3 days ago to see what it was like on a populated server. It's crazy to see the game with a lot of people actually playing. And, I did reroll Republic there since my 50 (and two other alts) on the other server are Imperial. There are plenty of people looking for groups too. If the LFG tool and PvP in 1.3 isn't cross-server (which I doubt will happen), then I think even more people are going to bail for more populated servers, thereby making the problem even worse on the Light servers. I just looked and of the 125 US servers, 9 of them have "Standard" populations right now (middle of day of course). But either way, that means that a PvP que will only be reasonable for 7% of the servers. That's pretty bad. And we clearly don't need 125 servers. But back to the topic; it's the server population and rerolls/alts that are resulting in the sudden shift in faction power on servers (plus the 1.2 PvP changes of course).
  21. I bought a machine entirely for SWTOR and was always a console gamer. After playing this, I've realized I really like PvP. And I'm a massive Star Wars fan that's even read tons of books from the EU. That all being said. If they do not get cross-server ques in place for Warzones in place in the next 2-3 months, I'll probably head out and start PvPing in a game that is built more around that style. It's kind of hard to justify staying if there's a game I get to purchase with great PvP where this is no monthly fee. What's not to like there? Although I will admit I like the sci-fi setting more than the straight-up fantasy one. But then again, gameplay is probably more important.
  22. Ha. It's the opposite on Sanctum. The Republic side has all of the healers, and the Imps (me) get rolled all day and night.
  23. Premades are overrated. And the problem is really bad gear and bad skills. My guild will win regularly when together, BUT, we do the same things that you can do in a PUG: 1. At start split up the team between the objectives (if you fail to do this from the start, you've already lost) 2. Mark targets and focus those marked targets 3. Play the objectives and don't simply go for damage and kills All that being said, I often see few Imperial healers on my server. Rolling with one in my pre-made last night was a major factor of the winning streak that we enjoyed. Also, cross-server ques! This should be a priority OVER rated WZs. This would even the playing fields and allow solo ques. I am hoping that this is why BW decided to not roll out rated WZs at this time. The que would take forever without a cross-server capability.
  24. Everything is eventually nerfed. Just get over it, stick with you class and stop the QQ. After Assassins get nerfed, there will be some other class that will be OP. It always works this way.
