Some servers were very populated for the first 1-2 months with sub dropping slowly. I did a similar "mistake", rolled on a full server at launch (5-10 min queue) and ending to a low pop in just 3 months

No worries, in 1.2 both factions have ugly armors (always imho)

Yes, it does give 3 kills toward previous Ilum daily/weekly (the amount doesn't change for win or loss). Tbh is not so bad, 3 kill per wz means 10 wz per day (again, win OR loss), 5 days maximum at 10 wz per day to complete the weekly
