i used kaliyo until i got vector and then vector all the way to 50. i know others will say vector sucks, but i got used to sending him in and balancing my threat with his, taking aggro when i needed to etc. he does good damage, but i use lokin or temple at 50 since they are both in really good gear you should have no problem completing dailies as any spec or with any companion.

as a sniper, i am completely ok with this idea

bm sniper. we're mostly fine, we could use a slight defensive buff of some kind. we're lackluster in huttball, but very effective in voidstar/civil war

awaiting Gaidax's appearance in which he states that hes valor 70, beats everyone 1on1, and thinks snipers are fine- for the 100th time

hard/nightmare mode operations. its the best and hardest to attain pve set in the game

Don't know why I am bothering to respond, but here goes. You didn't use followthrough after ambush, you used an instant snipe(watch the snap shot buff disappear when you use it). Your followthrough does not go on cooldown and you do not use it once during the vid. I am sure it does hit for more than 2k, which makes me wonder why you used snipe in the first place. Also, your target is being attacked by a marauder at the same time, which explains the dramatic loss of HP combined with the fact that the target is a sage who is probably a fresh 50 with terrible gear with somewhere around 11k HP. ps nice entrench in a terrible spot with no one attacking you

this is a problem with the combat text. neither of your shots did anywhere near 5k damage. your ambush hit for 3582(which is clearly visible), and then the instant snipe that you followed it with hit for a little under 2k. The problem with the combat text is that attacks in quick succession can merge, so to speak, and their damages are combined and displayed as one. I've only ever noticed this when following up an ambush or snipe with a rifle shot, but yeah... you arent critting for 5k, did you really think your snipe was hitting for 5.5k dmg?

yep. rank 57 and little incentive to finish off this bm grind. the horror stories of BM comms and the fact that ilum dailies are a nightmare. i do not look forward to spending 2 hours a day just for a chance at BM comms

despite what you may think, entrench does not guarantee you will grab the ball before someone else. and what are you gonna do when you do get it? pass it from entrench? you better because you'll get 100-0'd in the course of one stun, which then begs the question, why did you bother trying to grab the ball in the first place?

if only damage and not dying actually won a WZ. you are clueless, despite the numerous attempts made in this thread to open your mind to this issue. Sure, if they made a WZ where damage won, snipers would be great. But they dont exist. Instead, its huttball where sprint/pull/charge win games, civil war where a target can use the freaking objective itself to constantly LoS you, or voidstar where you are average until the opposing team realizes you are a threat and quickly kills you because you are the easiest class in the game to kill.

no way guys, snipers are fine. disregard the fact that a sorc can do as much damage as us while providing their LOLFORCE utility and a merc can do as much damage while wearing heavy armor and not having to deal with the mitigation issues.

if only there was a pesky exploit that has been around since release that allowed a team to have 11 members, causing a shutdown sequence and an obvious advantage to attackers who could easily blow the first door before the sequence ended. oh wait...
