  1. A few things have been slowly becoming standard in the MMORPG world, the first thing I notice about an MMO, for immersive purposes, is whether or it has a Day & Night/time cycle. This would not take away from the feel or iconic weight of a planet, but would rather intensify the unique feel for each individual one. Are there any plans or tiniest of hopes to ever implement this in swtor?
  2. Meh, for me "Casuals" are generally gamers who make short sighted statements about things in the game without the ability to see how it could effect other aspects, or those that gravitate towards the gimmicky stuff. I.e. the people that grab a m203/rpg first thing in a fps, those that expect the game to become instantly easier when they're stuck on something relatively simple.
  3. i didn't want to say it, but the title of this thread sums it up. Emulate dark age of camelot prior to trials of atlantis and the game would be fine.
  4. Yep. Though I have to admit classic was my favorite.
  5. Ditto. I'd so level an inquisitor to 50 in order to have the lightning animation replace tele throw on my consular.
  6. Sounds like an interesting idea. I'm wondering how all the other features would play into it though; affection, story, interaction outside of combat and such.
  7. Hated Dromund Kaas (when I was sith) and Belsavis I loved Tython, Korriban, and Quesh.
  8. Personally I'm fine with the idea of titles being the only form of achievements.
  9. 1.Dungeon/Flashpoint finder I couldn't really find anything to do at 50 & when I did we ran into bugs or overturned difficulties that made the groups fall apart always. 2. No real world pvp like other mmos I've played. DAoC/WoW. Standing in a line hoping we can pull the Imperials that outnumber us 3 to 1 into our base turret isn't dynamic or compelling. It feels like playing chess with only pawns. The game doesn't really reward you for world pvp period, and it also doesn't feel rewarding. Others: *A day and Night cycle would of helped the game feel more lively. *Companion quest would of been nice too, the companions don't really feel like bioware creations. You hear from them so little and sporadically its hard to get attached or care. *The gear is horrible looking, and you have no choice about it. Especially if you pvp. Dye would of helped or at least fully allowing us to completely take the stats from gear drops. *The warzones/instance pvp are improperly incentivized, playing for yourself is more rewarding than the objectives or your team. That being said, I plan to resubscribe in the future, I just want to give bioware some time to hopefully polish the game. I love it, but at 50 I can't find anything to do. It feels like bioware is trying too hard to bring back old elements that have been obsoleted and forgetting the cool ones that have been merely forgotten. Dungeon finder vs LFG grids and gather spots, static time vs day/night cycle, No player customization of gear vs Dyeable gear or changeable skins, Contact a CSR vs simply report a bug, Resetting player stats for design flaws vs being less short sighted in the design process.
  10. MMORPGs usually have the gear hamster wheel system. Thing is not everyone is entertained by 4 hours of raiding, so grinding like that is unappealing. Now being able to grind by just fighting other players is a completely different light to some players. If it was just competition the people who liked doing the 6 hour raid thing would just be superior to players who just enjoy pvp. I can't say I mind the separation that much, I just wish gear was customizable because some of the pvp gear starts looking pretty funny.
  11. It shows an icon on the enemy, but it may be disappearing too fast for you to see as each dot tick or tick from tele throw causes it to count down from 10 to zero and at zero it disappears.
  12. Since I stuck to mostly inquisitor in the beta, I thought I was imagining it when I thought the actual animations effected the damage speed. Guess I wasn't. Those are some pretty interesting factors listed though, not suprising though, alot of people like the sith, its not farfetched to think the devs would show a bit more love to their favorite factions.

    Is this exploiting?

Yep. Incentivize correctly and this won't happen. Bioware still has some work to do when it comes to guiding players to do things that keep things flowing in a fun way.
  14. Day and night cycle *cough cough* The rest are great ideas as well.
  15. Same, wish they just used something more intuitive instead of arbitrary titles. Like Bronze Pvp Armor, Silver, etc. I don't think the vendors even stand in any order lol.

    Huttball sux

This. Huttball is fairly simple and requires teamwork, doesn't mean its fun. Its not even designed properly to reward players for working as a team with the ball. I really wish we could at least uncheck one game mode from the pvp pool.
  17. Same here, If this did turn out to be true, swtor will probably be the last bioware game i'd spend money on. This sounds horrendously absurd, even if it was a temp ban.
  18. Sucks to see slicing get nerfed. Ah well :\.
  19. Hopefully all those things listed will get tended to in the future, as of now it is a bit of a disappointment factor in the game.
  20. I feel like my companions are broken or bugged because most of them are horrid. The only one I can use with somewhat efficacy is Theran. I'm on this quest the moment, was hoping the newest companion would be reliable but no luck .
  21. I actually wish there were more medals; one for planting bombs, defusing bombs, using terminals, turning turrets, passing the huttball , catching the huttball, scoring with the huttball, and etc. Maybe they would help direct players towards objectives instead of just zerging around aimlessly.
