some of the most epic fun ive had in a game was in X-wing VS Tie fighter, way back in the 90s. which was played with a joystick ofc. sure it is an entirely different game, but still! when i heard that they were gonna introduce space combat in SWTOR, i was so excited about it! but the implementation of it was just horrible(imo)! and made me just leave that part of swtor completely. i wish so much that it would be playable with joysticks, it would be so awesome!

or it can be a different type of invasion alltogether, and they dont have to be on at the same time. lets say youre on the fleet and an alarm goes off, darth marr(or someone in charge) voice goes through the speakers saying that there is an enemy squadron in the near proximity which needs to be repelled, could be like a mini event or something. or people could have the choice of defending the station in space or in the fleet itself at the same time. the latter would need some planning as to how it would be objective based however and how that in turn would affect the outcome of the invading/defending forces on the fleet.

i love this idea! reminds me of the city sieges in WAR. what could be done instead though rather than have the "sanctuary hub" violated, as many fear would inflict lag and other issues/annoyances(even though a separate instance is suggested). would be to have that battle/invasion in a different location alltogether. maybe its one of the star-destroyers that is being attacked, or maybe another fleet staion nearby, or for the sake of it bing THE station say its the station itself. point would be that instead of switching to an instance on the fleet itself, which could cause lag etc, youd get get a message with the offer to "repel the invaders"(port to location and battle) or "decline"(stay where you are currently located) it would be even more awesome if there were some space pvp involved in this. granted i never liked the implementation of galactic starfighter since it was far from what i was hoping it to be in flight combat. but this could be an excellent time to tweak that part of the game aswell. (there so much id want to add to this, but its 6 in the morning and im in no mood to write a book >.<)

it will be very interesting to see how housing will affect the economy and just the game in general tbh. you are most probably right about thatd be the case for some players, however im not so sure it will have this huge impact people are expecting. we will find out soon enough tho

will people actually do that tho? i mean is there really that many players that will burn their credits on this housing thing? im not judging anyone for what they enjoy in games, but i for one have absolutely zero interest in this housing business.

servers population always goes down around summer time, all the mmos ive played has felt that. right now pops are lower due to; summer, new releases of other mmos and possible the gree event is taking some action away aswell. i missed the last gree event so i myself am farming like crazy to get the rep tokens and the currency to buy those helix weaps .

in my experience CW, VS and AH takes way longer than any huttball game i get :/

the only way to gain valor is to do Warzones(valor boost for quicker gain). im assuming you were hoping there was another way of obtaining it? sadly there is no other way. a long time ago in a patch far far away there was owpvp and you were able to gain valor from fighting in the pvp area on ilum. but tbh if your pc cant handle WZs, it would have selfdestruct by that ><.

i would love to see more players in pvp overall on ToFN. tho i dont think the ques are in a "terrible" state yet. however i feel that if bioware refuses to merge servers they should atleast offer FREE transfers for people that feel they arent getting what they truly want out of a sub.
