  1. Congratulations to everyone who has cleared nightmare styrak (and the whole instance). It's nice to also see Bioware starting to up the difficulty of nightmare raid content.
  2. I'm currently writing the client-side software for a new parser, which I should complete sometime in the next week, and then, testing!
  3. Update: Nightmare S+V 2 / 7, Nightmare TFB 3 / 5
  4. Hi everyone, we're looking to put our own 8m Nightmare S+V group together tonight. we are a group of players that consistently play together. However, as many guilds are currently working on progression, we need 2 healers (a sorc, would definitely be nice) and 1 dps. If you are interested, please contact me (Xudu) or Silentfury or Colm in-game (or respond on this thread). Players should be online and ready to go before 10p est as that is our target start time. As always, bring stims and adrenals, and lots of patience.
  5. If interested in watching our stream tonight, simply click http://twitch.tv/devasta_dnt
  6. looking forward to our group tonight, either 8m or 16m. That horic fight was fun.
  7. Not as bad as me peeing myself and announcing constantly that "I'm dyin', I'm dyin'!"
  8. I know this has been done before, but I don't believe it's been done in a pug group. Devasta was kind enough to record the video, and you can find it here: http://www.twitch.tv/devasta_dnt/c/2528105 For players on Pot5 Imperial side and players looking to transfer, you can find out more information about our nightmare group and how to get in on the action, here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=658445
  9. Devasta actively streams our raids http://twitch.tv/devasta_dnt
  10. A lot of users misinterpret the damage and combine the damage from the attack that goes out shortly after he lands. It would be interesting to see what the logs are saying for these events; we use multiple sorc/sage healers and dps, and when bubbled, they do drop to a very low health amount, and if not immediately healed, would die from the damage that goes out afterwards, but the key is to heal the player he lands on as soon as he lands.
  11. If you're having issues on the Thrasher fight, consider assigning 1 (or 2) ranged dps, as well as a tank and healer to go upstairs and stay up the entire fight, simply running around to each spawn location. This lets the tank on the ground park Thrasher into a wall, and eliminates a lot of the random fire bugs (and other mechanics) that the fight is designed around. When I pug this, we generally send 1 ranged, 1 tank, and 1 healer up, and then run around together, while everyone else down below just burns the boss; it's generally a ranged dps that goes up, so they can dps the boss when the adds are down, but you can send a melee up if necessary. Thrasher has defense like tissue paper, making it very easy for 2 or 3 dps to rip through his health in a matter of minutes.
  12. Hello everyone, Shortly after the release of RotHC, I've been running a successful group that has been actively clearing HM SAV, HM TFB, and HM TC every week. The group consists of some of the best players from several different guilds on the Imperial side of the server. With the release of Nightmare content, and several of our groups active members having both 8m and 16m Nightmare TFB experience, we're looking at filling a few raid spots as we make the push into Nightmare TFB. Please review the following information and requirements and if you feel you are interested in the group, please respond to this thread with your in-game character name, role, and availability. We clear the hardest progression content in the game, without bureaucratic bull**** Raid Progression Nightmare TFB - 3 / 5 Nightmare S+V - 2 / 7 Raid Registration (Not including current 8 members) Donttazeme (DPS) Ainslee (Op Heals) Raid Schedule Nightmare S+V continuation 7/13/2013 2pm EST What do we look for? You need to be among the best in the game at your role, which means picking up the fights immediately, and succeeding where most do not. If you can't do your job and/or repeatedly fail to mechanics (whether related to lag or not) we'll replace you. No hurt feelings, if I couldn't fulfill my role, I'd replace myself, too. - and if you haven't done it before, pick it up the first time. This means following mechanics as well as performing the requirements for your role designation as laid out below. Raid Spot Availability Currently, we're in need of 1 DPS and 1 Healer to fill the remaining spots in the group. However, most of the players in this group have several characters and are flexible, as well as all spots being competitive. If you feel you have what it takes to be part of the group, we'd love to try you out. Loot Distribution We follow a simple loot distribution rule. Each player (per raid instance / raid week) can win at a maximum 1 tier piece (Underworld / Kell) and as many Off-tier pieces as they can manage (Verpine / Shadowed). However, Off-tier pieces are still prioritized by main spec over off-spec. Vehicles, pets, crystals, crafting materials, etc., are randomly distributed. DPS You must parse at a minimum, 2800 DPS against the Operations Training Dummy, parsing for a time between 6 and 8 minutes. Remember to use stims and adrenals for your parse. After completing the parse, upload it to torparse.com and respond to this thread with the link to the parse. Tank Without Stims and Adrenals, add up your Defense, Shield, and Absorb ratings. Juggernaut, 2050 or higher Powertech, 2150 or higher Assassin, 2000 or higher Please list the following information. Damage Reduction Defense Chance Shield Chance Absorb Amount Healer Effective Healing (this means without over-healing) needs to be roughly 3,500+ (with stims and adrenals).
  13. While the general preference is of course new raid instances instead of just new content by means of rehashed existing content at an increased difficulty level, if new instances come out at a non-nightmare tier level, many guilds will probably clear the content anywhere between day 1 and week 1. I think Bioware might have mentioned that there would be another raid instance released before December, and while it's a while away, I imagine as time progresses, new content will (hopefully) be released in a faster manner. I, for one, am a fan of the length of SAV, as well as it having more than 4 bosses (re: EC).
  14. Not to walk on anyones toes, but as I used to work in the industry, I want to comment on development times, as I have experienced them. I believe it took George Smith a month to develop the Dash'roode fight (just the fight, not including the environment), which didn't include beta and bug testing times. Developing a fresh raid instance requires new models, textures, audio, programming, developing the environment, scripting each raid encounter, bug testing, tuning, etc. This simply cannot be done in an 8-week period. Also keep in mind that in the history of MMOs, no game has ever released raid content faster than the players complete it. As a result, it's much less work to simply tune an instance to support a higher level of difficulty. This means that a team can develop that content while another team starts to develop new content. Either way, it is a time-consuming process.
  15. Solution Found: Always queue up with a friend, so you don't have to worry about being kicked, ever.
  16. Looking forward to seeing a video of one-man Mandelorian Raiders.
  17. Grats to lord saros on youtube for catching yoda at the start of his video for our kill.
  18. It was just a fun little prank thread (but it's still funny that I survived the fall)
  19. http://i44.tinypic.com/keywx1.jpg So, I went to take a bathroom break during a raid, and when I returned, I found the secret level and even spent about 20 minutes running around, enjoying myself.
