  1. TL : DR Everyone has a different degree to where they will switch sides or stop pvp'n all together where most of the bad players wouldn't go to such lengths because they don't really care that much about it in the 1st place. 55-45 - effects a very small amount of people that starts to tip the scales 60-40 adds another small group 70-30 ands another small group which together with the previous groups, is now a large group 80-20 flood gates are open 90-10 only ones left are the stubborn or those that don't care.
  2. Now look up what positive feedback is. Yes even if one side had 60% of the population and everyone was average, people will still have 50-50 win ration on average. But then you have a small population who are really into pvp and might be good... they might want a slight edge and hangout with the other better players starting the reaction. And also one side just might be slightly better than the other site at start. That might shift the wins even slightly to 55%-45%, which isn't troubling First you have mostly super pvp casuals who pvp just to have fun (and they may even be good pvpers or people who may switch to hardcore if they get into it later). These are people who don't put pvp as their top priority when determining what fraction or server to pick nor will they even consider to reroll because it's not that serious to them. They are also the type of person who won't ask much questions about the pvp stats. They make up the bulk of those numbers on both sides and it won't effect them at first. This group also has most of the bad players. Then you have the non casuals who are generally better than the super casuals on average- Some of them might be late comers who are really into pvp and might ask around to see which side wins the most on a server they like to play on before joining the side. They might also bring friends with them from other games or servers adding more skill to one side. Turning that 55-45 into maybe 60-40 Then you get people who want to win more than they lose and can't take 60-40 so they turn coat and turn that into 70-30. Then you get people who are completed disgusted with 70-30 and can't take it anymore and turn coat making it 80-20 And even then, you might get super casuals who, after done all the PvE or get bored with it might decide to not to be so casual with PvP anymore (you have to have some major desire to play under those conditions). But once they see that it's 80-20 and can see how it would take them forever to advance under those conditions, they will turn sides or don't pvp all together. Turning that 80-20 into 90-10
  3. Obvious troll. How can you talk like you know everything in earlier post but come and say you are new and inexperienced? And your logic wouldn't even make sense if your argument would be that individual skill means the most when a noobie that doesn't know what he's doing can win at least half of his games. You probably on the winning faction on a imbalanced server getting carried.
  4. I'm glad half of you are not trolling by acting like it's not real. There is an easy fix to the issue like I stated before... MMR!!! The star fighter PVP showed me how easy it could be. Just give everyone ratings and match Imp vs Pubs at similar ratings. If for some reason that there are more of one fraction that would make queues longer, make that fraction fight each other in "practice mode" just like you do in star fighter. BAM!!! fraction imbalances are completely gone.
  5. Faction PvP. It's so completely stupid. It's always one side that completely dominates the other, which also makes people reroll fractions just to get on the side that always win (which makes the problem even worst). And what makes it more stupid is that the game rewards people for winning despite how stack the odds are. I call back the depression WoW gave in the years I played it. Horde damn near won like 90% of their games it felt on most servers. It could take you all damn day to try to get PvP dailies when a horde player could probably do them in an hour. I remember a got into that game with a group of friends who migrated to WoW. I got to near max level and all my friends switched sides just so they can actually win pvp games. I didn't feel like I should have to throw away all the time I invested in my characters just so I could enjoy pvp games more. Fast Forwards years later and I'm having the same frustration in SWTOR. Damn Pubs own the IMPs all day long and get twice the rewards from pvp'n for it. After trying to get back into SWTOR, I come to appreciate match making in other pvp games. /rant There should be an MMR in solo queue pvp. After playing league of legends for years, I can't settle for anything less.
  6. What about skarge(?), the melee tank companion for BH. Haven't seen him either.
  7. I built my scout for speed (not turning) and evasion. Since I went speed, I feel that even as a scout, I don't turn fast enough to stay on someone's tail good enough to use a low firing arc weapon. With a high arc weapon, I figured I can just do flybys in mostly a str8 line with full speed, hitting anything I can hit and then turn around to do it again... but I seem to miss a lot doing that and also don't do a lot of damage. I'm getting close to having to decide because most stuff is already upgraded. /blogpost
  8. How far out you can spot someone. Having a high range means no one can really sneak up on you and you can see those gunships sniping far out.
  9. seriously...count the fly time out of the spawn point and past your defense turrets. Repubs turrets extend far out past the imps. My post has nothing to do with reach point B faster, which most of you seem to think I meant.
  10. I was just gonna edit and asked what tracking accuracy is too lol. Thanks
  11. I'm guessing it make it means how big the target circle is?
  12. It doesn't make you go faster, but you can't get to a point from full speed on just one bar of engine without it. It extends the duration that you can boost by a lot.
  13. Did you turn on engine power conversion? You probably won't beat the gun ship if he did the same thing and you didn't
  14. Or to click on chat. Or to mouse over your abilities on the map screen.
  15. I'm not talking about the spawn. Talking about the ship defenses and how the map heavily favors cheesy snipe run tactics by pub gunships. Everyone I seen do that rack up tons and tons of kills with little to no threat to themselves.
  16. Maybe from where you spawn at, but NOT where the turrets are at. PLUS imps have a giant meteor blocking their ship giving more distance because you have to go way around it. Even on the map the head of the repubs ship is half a square closer. Try it yourself. Go in a game and sit at point B and go to both the imp and pub ship and see how faster, and easier it is to get to the pubs turrets and how easy to do snipe and runs in open space.
  17. You got repub's capital ship right outside point B. So point B is so hard to even contest because repub gunships snipe the crap out of people... and when you try to engage them, they run right to their capital ship where the turrets will one shot anyone who gets close. So you can't chase them, and soon as you turn your back, they snipe you again. I'll spend the whole match trying to kill them as a scout (the counter to them) and rarely catch them. But any other map, I own them any day of the week. And you can't ignore them because, again, they will snipe any enemy around point B. Fix that crap plz. Don't even know why you got turrets on capital ships in the first place.
  18. People who annoy me rant: 1. Stealth class enemies. They like to sit in mob dense areas to pvp in… just to make you pull elites and disappear. 2. Stealth class teammates. They like to stealth past mobs and leave you behind like they think you can stealth past mobs too. This usually ends up in unexpected fights that sometimes even get people killed. Or they have to waste time walking back to help group or sit and wait for teammates to catch up. ---- Hell, yesterday I was doing the heroic 2 daily on the new planet and had 2 stealth teammates who asked for team to do it. I was in the middle of the heroic area expecting them to group. Each of them went their own separate way trying to ninja the clickables, half dying trying to and wasting time. And out of range to where no one was getting credit for each other’s click. It’s like they were only wanting to group to kill the champions… so I kicked the slowest person to group because they were doing nothing but taking up a companion slot that could actually be helping. 3. People who think a class has more than one interrupt. These are usually wanna be elitist who think they are pro with their knowledge. They try to give advice on how to kill bosses and tell you to use your interrupts like stuns to interrupt boss abilities. You then tell them that the boss has immunities yet they will tell you till they are blue to the face that stuns or other CC will interrupt them anyway. 4. People who don’t buff themselves or turn on their companion’s stance mode. This doesn’t directly affect me, but when I see people running around like this, it annoys the crap out of me for some reason. “Why are you so bad?” 5. Wanna be elitist tanks in flashpoints that do nothing but wipe the team and think it’s not them. Example: Had some tank do hard mode Kaon Under Siege where the 2nd half of the instance has these mobs that have a perma stun, channeling ability. Dude thinks just because he has a little gear that he can agro half a room then wonder why he’s not getting healed. He rage quit after we wiped 4 times. I then used my tank companion and did better than him while waiting for another tank to join. The 2nd tank to join respected that it was hard mode and didn’t rush anything. Never wiped after that. 6. People who both cry "SPACEBAR PLZ!" and aren't even good. Don't cry spacebar like I'm wasting your time when you waste my time by not knowing how to play correctly and don't know boss fights. Like if you are that person that get's knocked off the platform on Lost Island forcing us 3 man it, spacebar better not even come out of your mouth!
  19. The perks are the only reason I use mines.
  20. .... tired of having to put in my security key EVERY time I log in.
  21. I rather them take out the auto heal if you dismount. It makes melee DPS and tank companions more OP because of it.
  22. same The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 5 characters.
  23. This topic is just filled with a bunch of bads that can't play without a healing companion. Don't listen to them bioware. If you having trouble playing this game, slow down and do side quest to catch up in levels while working on your damage rotations. The problem is YOU. I played all imp classes first and neither one of them I used a healing companion. inquis - Ashara warrior - Jessa bh - Blizz and skagde agent - temple
