  1. Funny thing that. My Shadow is much less aggravating to play. I tend to play it when I want a break from dragging people to their death on my Vanguard. Keyboard turning in place against an Ops doesn't mean they're spamming. I think you're confusing the Assassin/Shadow with the Ops/Sc either way anyway. I still play my Ops though. Sometimes. When I've stopped laughing at dragging a Sorc back to my feet to bash his face in. And when I'm tired of playing a good stealther. And if I'm bored with Nuclear Dawn. I do know he's still specced healing at least, the last time I saw him anyway.
  2. It's not contradicting. Alderaan 0 to 5 is a hard fought loss. Worrying that I'm not going to hit that extra medal as a tank because I want the e-cookie isn't. Again, if I'm worried about killing people, I can hop into Nuclear Dawn, Quake, the Serious Sam games, Team Fortress 2 and so on. If I want to play a game type based around objectives with friends, I'm stuck in WZs. So you keep worrying about your medals and I'll leave to find a game being played how I like. Besides, if you're losing 5-0 and being farmed, you won't even notice I'm gone and I lose what medals I'd already earned for tanking anyway. Funny how that works.
  3. Because.. I want the match to end rather than letting twits farm? I think I've hit closer to home than you want to admit. Newsflash: Some people don't find it fun to lose in five minutes and be farmed for a further ten. I don't like to win in five minutes and farm for ten either. A hard fought game is a lot more enjoyable and rewarding than worrying about how special the medals make me feel or whether I need to do one game or two to buy the new carrot. A hard fought loss that went down to the wire is infinitely more fun than curbstomping the enemy team and it's unarguably more fun than being curbstomped, then farmed. The last bit's a bit of dark humor, darker than you're implying by the way.
  4. Something like that. So... because I want the inevitable loss to be over rather than being farmed for 10 minutes because my team thought Huttball was TDM, I'm worried about the loss. That I'm willing to voluntarily take? If I'm a survivor on an island with 7 other people and I'm trying to build shelter while they're acting out Lord of the Flies, I'm just going to see how far I can swim to find another island. See, I'm not worried about the carrot on the stick. I'm playing a game with friends and we're trying to play to the WZ's objectives. If I want a mindless fragfest, I have plenty of other games for that.
  5. Guys, I need to prove my superiority with my pebbles and lightning rather than winning. It's your fault for being randomly assigned to the enemy team. It's not the loss, it's the pointless 10 minutes after the loss is inevitable. There's a reason I continue trying to run the ball even if we're 5 and 0 rather than dragging it out. Again, a surrender option would give you your win and would give me a chance at finding another team.
  6. I dislike farming in huttball, it's boring and I'd rather get back to something else. Farming or being farmed is tedious. Never enjoyed steamroller matches in FPS games either, barring comp games, but that's a different bag altogether.
  7. And people like you wonder why players bail. A surrender option would be amazing in games like that. Nothing quite like being one of 2 people trying to chase a ball down while the rest of your team fights anywhere else. Games like that I'll keep leaving. And if they add a penalty for leaving, I have plenty of books I can read in the meantime with autorun turned on in a corner.
  8. And then people learn how to actually use all of their abilities and ruin the Slinger's ability to do anything substantial. I also hear LoS is a hard counter to snipers. If this guy isn't trolling, he's probably the sort of person confused by basic things like zippers and door knobs.
  9. So is anyone going to point out that TM's damage output isn't that much higher than Charged Shot? The debuffs are they only reason they're using it, it lines up the other attacks. Here's an idea, break LoS or interrupt them. If you're dying to a Merc/Commando spamming that skill and only that skill, you're a failure of a player. If you're actually paying attention you'll probably notice other skills in the rotation. Or you got out of LoS, then got up close and mugged him. And for the FOTM callers? Let me know when you've stopped playing Sorc/Sage, I might need to tweak my vanguard's build a bit. You're wrong. Riot Strike and the Powertech equivalent is melee only. I personally love seeing Arsenal mercs on my tank, but then again, I love seeing any ranged class that I can harpoon and introduce to my team.
  10. The truth is out there guys, it's not actually a game regularly flooded with a bunch of dress wearing ninnies, we're actually seeing extremely violent and localized hurricanes. We're just particularly unlucky to be shocked or pebbled to death.
  11. If they're taking 'slightly lesser geared duos', either you're exaggerating how lesser geared they are, or they're afk/keyboard turners/have no situational awareness/have special needs. Usually the only way we can kill healers and tanks paying attention is if I harpoon one of the two away from the other and we CC the other to keep him out of the fight while we gang up on the guy. Either that or tell your friend to stop pvping in Assault/Tactics equivalent on Sith and switch to the defensive tree with a shield instead of a generator.
  12. I'm a Vanguard and I think nerfing Scoundrel/Ops would make them even less played than they are now. Seriously, stop wearing a dress, run around with a tank and see them cry bitter tears as they aren't able to hurt you or your tank. Group pvp in a team based setup > solo players with delusions of grandeur. By the way, did you see that video? The one I linked to from a 50 scoundrel? It's been posted a few other places too. I'm just curious because the video is actually quite interesting. It's subtitled though so it requires a bit of reading
  13. Beat me to it. Yeah he did, it was just a demo thing. If I think about it, I'll get him to fraps some more stuff showing what happens when a tank is doing their job or something too. Vanguards make everything funnier
  14. So I'm just going to link this here too, I keep seeing myths/lies posted still. So I have an idea. Roll around with a tank that knows what they're doing. Guard alone will force Scoundrels/Ops to rethink their targets. Harpoon, easily applied dots, stealth scanning/aoes and being fairly hard to kill all add to that. Most of the complaints here are the same ones I saw for Rogues in WoW and funny enough, Stealths in Nuclear Dawn, Covert Ops in Enemy Territory/Quake Wars, Spies in Team Fortress and so on. It reads sort of like, "Guys I have no situational awareness, no attention to detail, no reflexes to speak of, but it's obviously the other guy's fault.".
  15. Do we have a screen shot, video, something? Because we have a video. That video that got posted earlier. You know that video people are referring you too? I'm just curious if you've seen the video yet.
  16. Wonder how much that will cost him. Are there guides/tutorials/trainers/whatever out yet?
  17. Even funnier was him ranting off on the other AC of the Smuggler. The ones without stealth.
  18. Funny, my friend says all the time that he'll open up on someone and their teammates immediately pull him away and mug him. There must be some unknown corollary here. Quick, someone give me a grant to investigate this matter in group pvp.
