  1. The OP used math in his explanation so his reasoning must be valid and true. Like when someone comes up with an idea then adds a scientific buzzword to its name, thus increasing its validity. In all seriousness though if the OP doesn't understand the limitations put on melee by desynchronization issues (especially in this game where its particularly bad) then there's not much that can be done, although I will try. Ever punted someone and sent them flying in a direction different from where it looks like they should go? Now imagine that except the punt is every single one of your attacks, and instead of going in the wrong direction the ability just doesn't go off and you get a target out of range message. Sounds like fun right?

    Force Shield

Whats force sheild? do you mean force armor? If so then you should probably know that force armor does scale, it scales with your force healing bonus. It also doesn't absorb 1500 dmg, you would need a force healing bonus of under 100 for it to be that low. Assuming you have a healing bonus of 600 and you're specced into the +20% talent force armor will absorb just under 3750 damage.
  3. The basis of this thread and the OPs posts in this thread and others is that PvP gear should be removed and players should be forced to do PvE to get gear. I was merely noting the flaw in this suggestion by pointing out that the gear disparity would still exist if PvP gear were removed. If you're going to remove gear disparity you're going to have to remove it on both fronts, pvp and pve. My solution? my solution is to save up 3500 rated coms and 2000 normal coms pre 50. Then when you hit 50 buy half your BM gear, augment it, then fill in the rest with recruit. You're competitive right out of the gates and it will only take you a week to fill in your remaining recruit with BM. Wouldn't be a terrible idea to let players start buying BM before they hit level 50 either.
  4. Because crushing some guy in questing gear with 11k Hps as a 24k HP player in full augmented campaign gear takes more skill then killing someone in recruit gear as a WH, right?
  5. Do you know whats even bigger? the disparity between tionese and fully augmented campaign gear. Removing pvp gear makes no sense, the gear advantage would still be there it would just be people with 14k HPs and 1400 mainstat vs people with 23k+ HPs and 2300 mainstat.
  6. So basically the OP wants to be able to Q up by himself or with 1-3 other players then have the game automatically fill in the remaining slots with players he doesn't know but who also want to do WZs? Is it just me or does that sound exactly like what happens when you Q for regular WZs? Why doesn't the OP just do that?
  7. Brought a sage healer and a commando healer yesterday, didn't lose a single game.
  8. Every time you click dark infusion a puppy gets cancer.
  9. Rated Wh gear doesn't come with mods, you have to rip out the mods of your old WH and put it in the new rated WH shell. You also dont need to trade in your old WH to get the rated version, that's only for the belt and bracers which dont have mods.
  10. Whats the point doing this exactly? The only reason to play rated is for better competition and the bragging rights of having slightly different colored gear. If you're trading then everyone is going to know it and wearing your orange helmet will be pointless.
  11. By that logic what you're suggesting is also in the game. Its called health pots, pugnacity, recuperate, focused defense, dark charge, harnessed darkness, etc.
  12. If we do that can the dps get a passive ability that automatically does X damage per second to the player you're targeting? In exchange remove half their dps abilities. Then we can give the tanks an ability that prevents X damage per second to whichever friendly they have targeted, again at the cost of half their defensive abilties.
  13. This is still a QQ thread, you're just QQing for the other side.
  14. ctrl-u twice will fix it.
  15. Sounds fair and balanced. Tweak cloak of pain to be a 40% dmg reduction too, 20% just isn't a very impressive number.
