    Why?

    If Overwatch played like an MMO arena combat simulator or something I would go too. But it's too FPS for me. 4-5 abilities per char and TTK is like 2-3 sec. It's an FPS.
  2. IMO the biggest problem is lack of players queuing regularly per server which causes ELO to not work as intended. You end up with a few really good players and a bunch of ****** ones with very little enjoyment for either when they are matched together and those in the middle get frustrated and stop queuing cause they feel like they are on a really good team or a really ****** one and there is no "balance". Just because a player is bad or intermediate in skill doesn't mean they shouldn't enjoy the experience of ranked arena. If every level of ELO was almost exclusively paired with players that are within a hundred ELO of each other you would have a much more vibrant and enjoyable experience where players feel like their contribution to the match was = to their output. Players like to feel they are in the right place and they belong and this is what ELO rating is supposed to provide. But it fails due to the lack of players per server queuing at any given ELO rating. This is why many MOBA's have strong vibrant communities, because the bad and intermediate players still can enjoy the game while looking up to better players and trying to get there or not depending on what they chose. Ranked arena is just a small slice of this game but there is no reason it can't perform in a similar fashion. Only X-server ranked queue has a chance of fixing this. (or a giant mega-server, which comes with other problems) (or I guess a different system of rating that works with fewer players, but your guess is as good as mine on what that might be)

  6. For regs? lol no... It's just playing pvp for fun... If you want serious pvp where quiting has consequences play ranked.
  7. I gotta agree that if you are always on the losing team you should look inward and become a better player...not blame others or the game.
  8. I am a beast heal in regs and weak *** putz in ranked... Players that complain about heals are worse than me yet feel they have a point. Sad really
  9. Agree that very few healers don't pull their weight. while in every game there are at least 2 dps that seem clueless. stop blaming a class for good play
  10. I am by no means a top 1% pvp player but.... None of them are complaining about healers. so... maybe the problem is not healers? Just saying
  11. Lift the restriction on WZ's and Op's for non-subscribers and instead put a pay wall around -Progressing the story -Obtaining new Companions Do this and you won't here me complain about what subscriber get and what they want.
  12. Actually that content is RESTRICTED for non subs and is exactly what most subscribers pay for. Trust me almost every PvP player would unsub if there was not a WZ restriction... My guess is the raiders would do the same.
  13. The main content restricted by not subscribing is... OPS/FP's and PVP... Therefor I find it reasonable for them to be talked about in a subscriber announcement. Get rid of the weekly restrictions to such content and watch us all stop subbing yet still play...or... Give those of us that sub what "we" want and don't waist our sub money on some solo player bull.

  15. Sorry I played pvp in 1.0 and it wasn't that great.. I was not good at my class but by no means was I bad and my very first lvl50 pvp match i died within 3 sec of falling off the ledge in NC. No bolster was worse than bad bolster. With the way it's set up now..that is just impossible unless you are terrible. Then it's just a simple l2p issue. As far as CC, root, slow... I never had a prob with it and if anything i think meta wise with all the mobility now, it's improved.
  16. I find that hard to believe but I am no expert and you may well be correct. As someone who dabbles in maya/photoshop I seriously doubt making 8 new animation skill sets would take too long if they threw money at it(hired the right people). and no actors needed. As far as balancing goes..well I'll just say many other mmo's put out new classes almost yearly and yes it's only 1 not 4... But I still think a year is enough time to develop 4 new ones given EA budget
  17. BW, no one expects you to create a new class especially with all the bells and whistles of a fully voice acted stand alone story... But.... Why not put some work into a new AC for each? This would technically only be 4 new disciplines mechanics wise. I realize it may be a lot of work but my guess is it would take less work than 10 hours of new story would...and... I guaranty you it would generate immense hype!
  18. A good example is Arena..where 2 healers/2dps vs. 1 healer/3dps is not an advantage.... at best it's 50/50..... If that. And 3healer/1dps vs. 1healer/3dps is most likely a loss for the team with more heals. My point is simply that more healers is not an advantage..that should be common sense to anyone whole plays pvp regularly. Objective play included. I re-read OP's post and yeah I may have been a little harsh, you are correct
  19. It's a WZ the point isn't to "kill" the opponent it's to acquire the objective. all you have to do is prevent the healers from capping, they might never die but....so? They also should never cap and never kill anyone either. And as one of those good sage/sorc healers I can tell you that if 4-5 players can't kill me I am proud but TBH they are prob just doing it wrong. I have fallen to 2 higher skilled dps players working in tandem plenty a time. My point remains valid.
  20. Diminishing returns on healing is different for different WZ's but it definitely runs out prior to 5 healers... closer to 2 on some, 4 on others so we'll say 3 healers average. My point being that if you lost to 5 healers it's cause your team was bad not cause heals are OP. Even if I was to admit heals are generally OP the DR still stands and they can't overcome that unless the other team "helps them"... So your point to me just looks like QQ. I'm sorry but it's just that simple and true.
