  1. I wish I could play more, but I has a job.
  2. So basically you leave for any reason and if things aren't 100 percent perfect. I don't see how you find this a laudable justification or refutation of anything.
  3. Can't say I've had the same experience. The animations, in my experience, just interrupt each other, so for a split second you're in one, then you pop-lock to the other. I'm not sure how it works, or maybe I have a quick connection, but I would think any CC added to an already placed CC would just simply fail (already CC'ed). That's what would make the most sense, don't you think? Right now it seems that you get a random mish-mash of animations all piling on each other. I can see how for some they would cause long delays. But for me they just jump one to the other without any greater time duration. Then again, that could just be that I'm lucky.
  4. Well, people aren't NPCs, so they don't just stand there and pew-pew you until their health-bar is empty.
  5. 9 wins a week is all I need. After that, who gives a crap.
  6. It's the giant red bar with their name on it. The one that is low on health. Click it.
  7. I think this is one of the posts the Bioware team said that they would have to read between the lines to get what the customer was *trying* to say. Which I think using simple Freudian principles reveals that the customer here really wants legacy abilities in PvP.
  8. 25% RNG does not mean a 100percent chance of getting a comm every 4 bags. I think it's just people are weirdly superstitious about computers. If they roll dice, they don't see any sort of injustice outside of the whims of luck. If it's a computer, WELL THEN WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!
  9. Even then, all you have to do really is walk up a ramp and look-see what's going on. Or camp a side-node and watch the map. Meh, I guess I just don't see much depth to the whole she-bang. When our guild is PvP'ing w/Vent, about 95 percent of the "communication" going on has nothing to do with the match. We're talking about builds, or stories or anything really. Every once in a while there's a, "Oh come over here plz" but really, Vent is for BS'ing around with buddies while clicking away.
  10. rofl *grapple* Cry moar. My favorite is pulling people back to the middle just to make them start over. Because I'm a jerk like that.
  11. I honestly don't see the dire need for constant communication in civil war. I mean, the place is the size of a small playground. When I'm ops leader I keep my mouth shut, and people generally know what to do, where to go. Every order given is simply one more chance at miscommunication, confusion and mistakes. Keep it simple, Sammy. Sometimes people whine that I don't "lead", but really, I'm not interested. It isn't hard to do. Hell, you do it enough and you don't ever need to talk in any WZ. Huttball just becomes "ok, got it" "ok go to mid" and just real simple, sparse comms. People who just start "organizing" and barking orders aren't helping any.
  12. I play Vanguard. I'm trying out new builds. I run tactics with combat tech armor and supercommando stuff, in ion cell. Basically I'm off-tanking in PvP, and Hold the Line is the lynchpin to the build. Tanky-tank Vanguards just don't hit very hard. Assault Vanguards blow their wads. Tactics is all about mobility. To beat a tanky-tank Vanguard, you just gotta smash them down. To beat an Assault Vanguard, you gotta let them blow their wad. Step back, let them make their move, mitigate what you can, and then respond. A lot of people PvP with no sense of rhythm... they just sort of go at it. Well, give the enemy time to hang themselves. See what they are doing, don't worry about getting off your rotation. Your post seems like you're very concerned with getting your rotation off. Don't worry so much. Yes, it is important, but you can't fight from an abstract rotation. Maybe they've learned to counter your standard cookie-cutter rotations. Change what you do. They've probably spent a month getting smashed in the face and have learned how to counter people's DPS rotations.

    Op healers

This is the fifth post today about "OP healers". Everytime we play against a 3-4 heals team, we win. Why? Because they can't kill anyone, and focus firing a healer always wins. Let me guess, you've got six or so people randomly attacking random targets and just sort of grab-assing out there.
  14. Yer right, they're totally invincible and unbeatable. Most brilliant thing ever devised in the history of MMORPG PvP. Sucks to be the unlucky guy to discover this brute metaphysical truth. Utterly hopeless.
  15. I don't know, but I'd love to play tracer missile/self-healer. Not that they're OP, but they're annoying as all kinds of hell.
  16. I use the stats to keep track of my own personal progress. Not anyone else. Doesn't mean I'm trying for high numbers, but gauging my performance from an expected value in an average match.
  17. Let me guess, you see a big ole furball and lolrun right into the midst of the action and get CC'ed. And then you do it again. And again. And each time, you lolrun right into the action and think, "Bioware needs to do something about this!"
  18. I just had to wait through three red-light cycles. Someone oughta do something about the timing on that intersection.
  19. Meh. This is like watching a video of someone punching the clock. Nothing bad, nothing great, just another day doing stuff. I'm sure some new people could learn something from it, not anything they wouldn't have figured out themselves eventually, but whatvs. Not dis'ing your play or anything. Just seems like run-of-the-mill stuff.
  20. I'm against any idea which aims to remove CC as a factor in combat. Most solutions are equivalent to: Just Get Rid Of CC Abilities So We Don't Have To Worry About It. Resolve never decaying in combat? That would be game-breaking. Imagine how utterly neutralized CC would be in Voidstar. You either have CC as a game mechanic or you don't, but don't devise systems which has it but works to neutralize it because people just want to hit their 1 key and run around.
  21. Gear is a perk, not a necessity.
  22. I played WoW for a bit in Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm. Mostly I played EVE, which managed to get the balance between soloing and forcing people to work together right. While, IMO, nothing matches the intensity of EVE, you can't really compare WoW or SWTOR to EVE anyways. EVE forces you to work together to get anything real accomplished. In traditional MMORPGs, it's an option. I know, it's "Excel in space", but EVE does have that stark necessity to it which brings a whole different flavor to gaming. The natural expansion for SWTOR is space combat a la X-Wing Vs. Tie Fighter. You could just shoe-horn it into a quasi-warzone with a queue. I know I know, big dreams, never gonna happen but seriously, half of Star Wars is fighter combat.
  23. Vanguard SS gets a damage debuff to put on targets with their AoE Explosive Surge and Ion Pulse. It's a 4 percent damage reduction for 15 seconds, which means you just have to AoE Explosive Surge once in an eternity to reduce the damage output of up to 5 enemies. Plus a 5 percent damage mitigation with Guard. Tank mechanics aren't very transparent to fights, and its hard to gauge what you're contributing, cuz sometimes you'll win and sometimes you'll lose, and you don't know if your support tipped the balance. But all in all I love my Vanguard SS.
  24. That's getting fixed in 1.2 at least.
