I've stopped playing for the time being, my server is dead. Waiting to see if they do the right thing and make server population management the top priority before my sub runs out. If they can't respond to this crisis in an intelligent way, no point in continuing to pay.

Might keep my sub active until 1.3, might not. But not going to be playing much anymore- it's just boring. 1) Server populations. Transfers/merges are long overdue, to the point where it may be too late. 2) Endgame gets boring after a week. And while the cinematics are somewhat entertaining (I have 5 characters), leveling is extremely repetitive and easy. 3) No LFG. Yeah, they say it's coming, but not much else to do until then. 4) Poor communication and deceptive practices from whoever's in charge. 5) Based on #4, no reason to think things will improve, at least in the short- to mid-term. And it still amazes me that resources are being devoted to features nobody outside BW gives a crap about (Legacy, idiotic Spiderman armor sets, cutscenes for WZ's etc.)

i also got one from Diplomacy. I believe it was the lowest level (Inheritance?). Perhaps b/c I was doing grade 2 and 3 diplomacy missions (Med Supplies.)

No, in some instances they do respawn. I just had this happen the other day, on Coruscant, some mission with my Trooper. Room full of fairly tough MOBs, took a while to kill the boss, almost died on the way out. I'm not sure how to tell if an instance is respawny or not.

Yar. I usually play a 'defender' role in WZ's, and the long-distance cap thing has gotten me a few times. If you get a group of 3 or 4, spread them out a bit to avoid AoE interrupt, you can often bypass defenders. It makes defense a lot more interesting.

I must be missing something... I have killed, and been killed by, numerous opposing-faction players out in 'open world.' It added some risk & thrills to leveling, which is why I'm on a PvP server. PK's have been part of my experience the whole time. I don't see the point in looting, since gear is so restrictive, and nobody carries 'pocket cash.'

I have a 50 PT (hybrid tank) and am leveling a Commando. Outside of leveling, I mainly do PvP (due to difficulty of finding groups on my server.) Love playing them both, altho there seems to be more issues with effects/animations with the trooper. I find it easier to manage heat with the bounty hunter than to 'conserve ammo' on the trooper. Possibly due to the fact that i am very low on the skill trees for trooper (lvl 21), and by 50 BH's have several skills to help with resource management.

Try Bounty Hunter too. It's one of the best storylines, and fairly easy to play.

as a late-thirty-something myself, i can answer this: Yes. and don't ask me to change your diaper in warzones! but in response to the OP, i think there are guilds for "mature adults." i'm sorta looking into that myself.

Welcome! I agree with the others. I'd just add, if it's your first time doing something in a group, let the others know so they can provide guidance. Same goes for PvP. Most of us are happy to provide help, and you can just ignore the jerks.

Good suggestions here. I would add, do PvP after you hit lvl 20. Maybe "serious PvPers" don't like it, but I do. Pick up tons of extra XP that way pretty quickly. Also, if you pick up one or two levels via PvP, it makes the storyline quests much easier. Have fun!

I think the forums are worse than any problems with the game. My server has it's own dedicated forum site, but unfortunately I have to look around in here for news. A lot of people just seem to think that because they paid $15, all of a sudden their opinions are no longer childish and irrelevant. The best remedy is to spend as little time as possible on here, and just let the idiots fight with themselves.

oh yeah, that's a good one. i sometimes forget to unguard when Silly Guarded Person goes and runs off.

i don't think i saw this yet: if you are the only person guarding a node, DO NOT LEAVE IT UNDEFENDED! your job, at the very least, is to yell when the enemy inevitably comes to cap it. if you're bored, ask a teammate to take over. you do at least get medals now for the thankless job of guarding the node. oh, and don't dump on the guys protecting the node in Ops chat. they are doing something to help the team win, apparently you are not.

i stand corrected. i thought it was like one of the previous dailies, where you actually had to play all N matches. i haven't logged in to see it, due to the disappearing Matrix Cube issue.

in order to finish this daily, you need to have the queue pop at least 6 times. there are servers where people cannot do this in a single evening. hence the complaints about server populations.

For people who don't like PvP at the moment, Ranked WZ's should mitigate some of the problems, it'll give the superstars a place to go compete, premades should be on a more level playing field, new 50's might not have to suffer weeks of humiliation, etc. but, they need to have a handle on the cheats/exploits for it to work.

uh, so you're saying i don't exist? that's an interesting gambit. i'll have to try that one in future discussions- "You do not exist, your argument is invalid."
