  1. Because some computers can run multiple instances of a game. I have ran 3 EQ2 accounts at once, and I can run 2 SWTOR accounts at once (one per screen)... I agree with the OP. I had to create a new email account just to run a 2nd account, instead of having 1 account for both accounts... They could do away with this by changing log in from email address to login name.
  2. Actually, a server channel is a great addition. You can leave/join it anytime you want. coming from EQ2, I am used to a serverwide channel, level channels, auction channel, and gamewide channels (most classes have their own gamewide channel)....
  3. the issue is that you have to account that a percentage stopped playing already, a percentage of the active players are casual soloers who really dont care if there is 50 or 5000 players... So now resources are wasted keeping a server live for a small number of people. It is inevitable, with our without transfers, that there will be mergers.
  4. Do research on every idea before posting? Even I think that is asinine. +1 for the macro requirement...
  5. I like it. Additional comms during a warzone would be nice too (like 5% increase or 10%, etc)
  6. You cant assume this will alleviate server merges. If the population is 5000, and 4000 people decide they want to ship off elsewhere, leaving those 1000 to fend for themselves, that server will not last long. Now, if they institute server merges, with the ability to transfer to a lower population server after that merge, then that is fine. EQ2 consolidated some servers, although they did not allow for free transfers if you did not like that server. I dont care if they charge or not; I want character transfers instituted!!!!
  7. I would like to see an ingame vendor that sells tokens, allowing you to change your appearance (skin color, hair, etc). This (depending on selling price), could help keep ingame currency down. Although in previous games I have seen this option, it's a fairly cheap option. Also, name changing tokens would be a nice option as well. I bring these up, because peoples' interests change quite a bit, and while one day, this name may be really nice, next week, it may not be so nice anymore. However, because it is your main, you are stuck with it. Or, more precisely, you make an alt with a tacky name (like Cheeseburgler), because, well, you were bored and didnt really care, and thought it would just be an untouched alt. However, a few months later, you find you are loving the class, but dont want to start the class over from scratch just to have a new name. Same concept for appearances as well. Another option is appearance options. Not just modding a piece of gear you like, but actually using the skin (but benefit from your medium/heavy options). For instance, many like the Slave Girl Social outfits, however, it is Light Armor, which is not a feasible option for Marauders and Knights (to name a few). However, if you add, say, an appearance tab, where that window is specific to appearance gear (no benefits other than sight), that override the appearance of your actual armor, then you could wear whatever ugly piece of armor you come across, yet still maintain your desired looked from the appearance window. More ideas to come.....
