  1. As a melee DPS shouldn't we want to be in our opponent's face at all times? I don't understand the point of an ability that creates a gap rather than closes one. Powertechs have two gap closers, Jet Charge which is basically Force Leap and Grapple which actually pulls the target to you. It would be more logical if our Force Push acted in the same manner, pulling the target to us rather than creating distance. The only practical use I've found for Force Push is a back-up interrupt if my actual interrupt is on cooldown. I don't consider pushing quest mobs off cliffs a practical use, but there's that too. What do you guys think? Am I crazy for thinking melee should favor a gap closer over distance?
  2. Actually this is a pretty good tactic to separate a healer with Intimidating Roar. They're stunned for 6 seconds a few meters away from their group. But carry on with your over-the-top condescension.
  3. I got a better idea. Remove gear from PvP entirely. When you enter a warzone or arena your gear is scaled down to something resembling level 55 greens. Gear should never be relevant in a PvP environment, that carrot on a stick mentality is reserved strictly for raiding.
  4. If Q, W, E, A, S, and D are all mapped to abilities then how do you move your character?
  5. You should be taking advantage of Enrage, it's an invaluable ability for any spec. And for multi-target pulls you should definitely prioritize Sweeping Strikes after Crushing Blow and Smash.
  6. Amazing post. You've articulated it better than I ever could, so when this topic comes up again in conversations I will have this thread bookmarked just to pass along. Nothing irks me more than stubborn people who will argue with you that they have "no issue" with response time and it must be "your computer" causing the hang up. I mean, honestly? If you can't pick up on the delay after an hour of playing you either don't care or you're being willfully blind to the fact.
  7. Grev, Sith Juggernaut here. I'm always up for contact.
  8. This game has already set itself apart from WoW. We don't even need to have that discussion any longer. But adding a bit more usability to the UI and combat isn't "changing the game", you need to stop that assertion. The game has some improvements to make and I very well think those improvements will be made as time goes on. But do you know how those improvements happen? Feedback.
  9. "Go back to WoW" is a sentiment that we need to eradicate from the community.
  10. I tend to separate my gameplay from my roleplay. If I'm forced to engage a confrontation in order to advance a particular RP storyline I would much rather it be done through emotes than PvP. The latter seems so impersonal. I'd rather see descriptive emotes complimented by dialogue. It adds more depth to the story, in my opinion.
  11. You can get your mod upgrades from the commendation vendors. Vendor packs/stims are expensive. Biochem seems worth it to me, especially when you can make a re-usable pack.
  12. You don't think a LFG tool would accomplish that? It would introduce you to new players and potential friendships that you may not have experienced otherwise had you just relied on your guildies. Assuming we aren't talking about a cross-server LFG, which is heinous.
