  1. Yeah, I think you're right. I think I barely even use stealth anymore, save for the beginning of a war zone. The identity of the class is gone. I've resolved to deleting there game and leaving it indefinitely this time. Cheers.
  2. I'm an old school conceal/scrapper who just "returned" or more accurately went back to see the current state of the class. I don't see how anyone is enjoying the class, or probably even pvp as a whole, anymore. Conceal actually is way better damage then it used to be, and with KP you can keep yourself up a good deal, but the heart of the class is long gone, and as others have mentioned it just feels boring. Couple that with how nasty PTs/Sorcs are, and even sins and veng juggs, and I just can't see why anyone is boasting about op performance. It feels stronger in arenas now than wzs, but overall it's incredibly boring and lackluster. It might be as well that in my hiatus I've also taken up pvp in other games outside of MMOs for a change, and I feel the inherent skill cap for this game's pvp (being low) weighing in on my judgement, but I can't help but feel the class lost its heart and/or sole. It's definitely a lot better for someone playing as a lone wolf, especially those who've been waiting almost 3 years since launch to get that play style back, so I can see how people might be rejoicing since it is at least "ok" in pvp, but come on, it's far from great. Plus, I can see that I have very low tolerance for bad programming in his game anymore. I can't say how many times I got stuck while leveling in Rishi. I don't recall having such a hard time in Makeb in 2.0, the polish is nowhere present on the current installment, and personally I don't see how I can put money into something that is not refined.
  3. I had the same problem when I first logged in. Think it was behind all my ability bars. Odd that BW changed it around, but I guess gives even more customizability.
  4. AMG Art you still play? Now I've gotta come back to JC I'll xfer my Sin/Op combo tonight or tomorrow. 3.0 drops tomorrow I think? I'll look for you.
  5. Rynis, man, you kill me <3 n0h0m0
  6. What's up, long time no talk. I've decided to come back for the new expansion, something piqued my interest. Probably going to be playing Imp side now. Question is, should I bring my Assassin over? -Chive/Covert/Crackshot/WhateverYouKnowMeAs
  7. Have you ever considered a hybrid medic/DF spec instead? http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#701MffMzhRozZZGboRrrooM.3 I used to use that for pvp and dailies when scrapper got boring, the uptime on damage is ridiculous in correlation to downtime on you healing yourself. I used to play that and keep Risha out for dps rather than Guss. To note, that spec is also stellar for soloing 4H bosses for group dailies and the like. Plus WS > SP any day for me in terms of damage output.
  8. I'm just coming back to the game, but definitely doesn't look like there is any reason to play scrapper any longer. I would argue that prior to the 2.0 changes, this kind of change (specifically, KO no longer actually being a KO, rather a root now) would have been relatively "fine", as in 1.7 I think this game's balance was nearly as best I've ever seen it. With all the 2.0 buffs that went around, scrappers lives were made harder. Enter 2.7 and not just how poor this design change will make us in warzones, but factor in arenas? There is literally no place for a scrapper. Shadows have been better this whole while, not to mention they are easier to play/master. Only having done a few warzones since coming back, from what I've seen the pvp community as a whole seems to be of lesser skill (or maybe gear) than compared to when I left. It is entirely possible that most of the hardcore pvpers have moved on and there are even more casuals now, especially since this has always been a more casual game. I only say that because it's possible BW is nerfing KO due to a wide range of lesser skilled players getting owned and being vocal about it. Blizzard nerfed rogues and kept them nerfed, last I played Wow some 4 years ago. They didn't have a solution to all the stunning and critical damage, so they chose to do roughly the same thing BW is doing. I don't have nearly as much faith in BW coming up with a solution as I would a powerhouse like Blizzard, so pretty much expect them to stay nerfed. At least smash monkeys are finally getting nerfed. I'm sparing even looking at their forums just because I don't want to read a flood of whining coming from players who don't actually know what it's likes to get the shaft... - Crackshot @JC
  9. I've got my shadow/sin and scrapper/op all on here. Shadow is Foxxdìe (alt+141 for the ì). I'll be on tonight in a little bit. Hell, I'll just load it up right now while I do other stuff. If you're in game just whisper me.
  10. Nah, not into Wildstar. Might give ESO a try since I was in a few beta sessions, but overall not interested in MMOs in general. Shoot me a message if/when you're coming to Bastion. I'll send you my info to grp up.
  11. I was thinking about staying on Bastion. Always been more appealing to me personally than pot5. JC was such a waiting game for a pvp queue to pop 3 months ago before I left, can't picture it being that much better than it was. Plus, that and I'm not sure how much I'm going to invest in this game. Pretty much seems the same as before I left it, nothing new to see until probably the next expansion since I'm not into starship fighting. Pvp has been stale enough for the past year, not much incentive to stay.
  12. I was just thinking that as I was reading through the prior comments. That would make DF such an awesome spec, pve and pvp alike.
  13. Going, what's up man. What's your toon's name on here? I just came back a few days ago, looking to see who else is on Bastion. - Formerly TheChive
  14. Part of the reason I left this sorry game is bads like yourself, probably a smasher to boot. Enjoy your catered to class ***s don't know what it's like playing a real class.
  15. This. And shadows are getting damage increases because they parse lower than any other dps class on a dummy. I'm well aware of the scoundrel dps issues, been playing one for about 2 years now. The problem is that BW bases their balancing around pve parses, not pvp burst potential. Scrapper hits for less, and has less reliant crits than a shadow, but they hit faster, and given bleed dot damage can perform more dps than a shadow. Shadow damage is being increased to parse closer to other classes. Also, as stated, DF is the way to go compared to scrapper, hands down. The thing you need to realize is that BW isn't focused on pvp, their focus is pve. This game was never about pvp, there was never a pvp team assigned to make it into an esport or whatever when they saw pvp was popular for some of their players. Instead they lost money due to poor planning and content releases and have never allocated the resources to further develop pvp, so it has received about 5% of the attention that pve has gotten all this time. That's why you'll be playing the same 4 stale warzones and 3 (soon to be 4) arenas for another year before they drop 3.0. #WhereDoesYourMoneyGo
  16. Smashers always get defensive about their spec when someone bad mouths it, so there's probably 8 pages worth of complaining that this topic was even brought up (in other words, didn't read the replies since they are probably complaints from bads). My question is, is there a reason why smash can't just do 100% of it's damage on the main target that the smasher has currently targeted, and the other unlucky bystanders take 50% of that damage? It's auto-crit regardless, so this type of change might actually calm the pvpers who don't like it (me being one) and might actually invoke a need for more skill on the smasher's part (God forbid). "If you get hit by smash you're just bad" Is the typical response from a smasher, however the reality is you're probably going to eat it because you are in a spot where you've been cc'ed (slowed, mezzed, rooted, etc) and you not getting out of the way might not actually have anything to do with your skill level. This is typical in arenas, or even stalemated warzones, I just facepalm whenever I read that reply since they have absolutely no idea how little skill it takes to do high damage on a smasher
  17. Not that I'm an authority, but the way I see it, shadows are only decent in solo ranked queue, and even then only against teams that don't have more than 1 warrior, or 1 PT, or 1 warrior/1 PT. Arena queues seem to be pretty high, this early after 2.4 dropped, and that is not a good sign. On top of that, the only people I routinely see have been smashers, hybrid or tactics VGs, and op healers, other classes just don't seem to have an edge. Solo ranked is really just a gamble, and you are likely stuck with incompetent players, so really your rating means nothing, and you are likely to get aggravated, just as others have mentioned. If you are not playing a sentinel/marauder, you just don't offer as much to your team as a dps, it's almost as if arenas were built solely for them to exceed. Regardless of seeing devs state that now they "may have made a mistake" with marauders and snipers, other potential claims of class balancing going into future patches, etc, I've decided to leave the game for good. 2.4 helped me realize just how lame/dead warzones are, and how bad the state of pvp is in general, with arenas being just a lame 3 map rotation and warzones not getting an overhaul for probably a year. The new focus is going to be 12v12 space combat, and for me that doesn't sound like fun in any way, I'm not into space combat in the least. And 24 ppl getting into a queue? Hard enough to get 4v4 as it is now.
  18. This since I live in New England as well =/. Although, I really want to try In-n-Out, never been to Cali though, so it'll be something to look forward to. I think given what 2.4 has turned out to be, general assessment being it is a failure, I'm going to leave the game as well. Class balance obviously hasn't been something they've been caring to address, and their new focus is going to be space pvp, which while I do play a Star Wars MMO, I am not honestly a fan of space combat. 2 days after 2.4 came out, the solo ranked queue on my old server (JC) fell to something like 20+ mins, and that was a "short" wait. Just moved to POT5 before the weekend and have been seeing similar queue times, starting to increase and even into prime time. Just as the guy with the awesome Guss Tuno sig said, 2.4 was supposed to be a "major" pvp patch, but look at how much pve content was also thrown in as well, seems hardly like this patch catered to pvpers aside from arenas, which had a 48 hour window of player participation. I personally love the pvp combat in this game as well, but the direction this game is headed is clear now, given this announcement. Competitive pvpers shouldn't waste any more time or money on this game. Come to think of it, wasn't all pvp going to be free w/o limitations come 2.4? I see that didn't happen either...
  19. <3 Will do. I haven't moved my assassin over yet, but was planning on doing so. I'll whisper you when I'm online, and thanks for the invitation
  20. Much faster queue, and pub side solo ranked is actually not too bad. I've had imps there for quite a while, it's generally more pvp focused in every respect. The average game is just so much more competitive, I find it enjoyable.
  21. Yeah I got tired of having a 20+ min queue on pub side during prime time just for solo ranked. That and getting ppl in pve gear (not NiM folks, like ppl in 54 greens), and having someone drop mid game after having waited all that time.
  22. My shadow isn't on JC anymore but prior to moving: Arena Shadow/Assassin dps: 1398.91 Shadow/Assassin biggest hit: 10062
  23. That's Jonnymaddog, JC's finest. Just come over Jonny, I sure you'll find what you're looking for. Just moved my shadow and scoundrel over and I'm liking it, but I moved over for pvp.
