  1. Yup, this would be an improvement, mostly because it collapses the list so its shorter, the primary list becomes a type rather than a specific item. In the lastest QA they seemed to be saying the lag issues with crafters having too many schematics was a limitation stopping them from introducing more schematics - and this would help with that.
  2. Exactly, and there is a ramp up time before any new hire or transfer can be productive. There are core concepts at the heart of the game which are flawed and they are quite frankly too risky and time consuming to address at this point, much longer than adding another flashpoint or operation.
  3. There is nothing i want on the GTN as a 50, even if i could navigate it using the horrible interface from 1993... and there is no need to buy anything on the GTN <50. What is it for? i look for 25 armoring (since its slot locked) and that's about it. Now if they had introduced the ability to turn any item into an orange for the look, then introduced some rare looks there would be a secondary market of rare appearances - even people with the best gear would want to buy the right look.
  4. Except that dragon age 3 was a HORRIBLE game.
  5. I would suggest you stop referring to 'endgame' so people don't get confused. Rakata was 'endgame' until very recently and many still think of it as so (many also consider columi and battle-master 'endgame' ). But you cant get orange gear from that stuff. Since its such a small list, just tell us exactly which sets of gear are impacted by a change, so that people don't go around destroying items for no reason. Its especially important where previous developer comments have set expectations which differ from what is being released.
  6. Yeah i agree, its a bit weird, tech and explosives i can understand since we are agents and have access to the newest innovations of the empire. Poison is kind of lame.
  7. Overall graphics quality is poor, that is a huge problem for me, on maxed settings/resolution look at any piece of leg armor for example - no shape, just a blurry horrible pixelated texture about as good as you would find in GLQuake 15 years ago. Some of the effects are quite well done, along with a few of the vehicles and some of the environments aren't that bad. But its at least a few years behind the current gen of console games and they have been are locked in on hardware restrictions for 5+ years.
  8. How do you randomly break cover when you haven't announced any changes that are even remotely related. I mean how is that physically possible, someone checked in code that broke this, i don't even. And how did this get past QA, do you even have someone test sniper? it would be pretty obvious.
  9. It wasn't hurting anything or anyone to have players exit area, some of the healers and dps might get out alive - they might avoid repair costs, some time is saved, who cares? Its not like people will try harder to win when the fight is already lost - the game is designed with tight conditions including the enrage timers which force an attempt to be executed perfectly to win. So now people will just have to stand around and wait to die. How does this change make the world a better place? it doesn't. I just don't understand why they would make a change that has zero positive impact but annoys and frustrates your players. I mean are they just sitting around struggling to come up with useful improvements? To me this is just like if you randomly removed the ability to use your speeder on the fleet. Poor judgement.
  10. No, working as intended. The diminishing returns on energy enables burst damage/healing. This is designed specifically to let you choose to do more for a short period of time - with consequences. If it was regenerating at a fixed rate they would have to nurf the regeneration rate or nurf all abilities to compensate.
  11. I love this chest piece, where did you get it, is it an orange?
  12. Yeah I have reported this problem to the suggestion box (although i fully expect it to have been a waste of time) it seems silly to have to not use an optimal tactic because you're worried about the dummy falling out of combat. An orbital strike (even on 2s) + cast time of the next ability is enough to split your log into a multiple fights.
  13. I wonder if this is related to the new setting which reduces the number of players shown at once. I could see it also applying to effects mistakenly, the soa balls for instance are npc companions.
  14. They're just as likely to listen to constructive feedback as they are to rants, and that likelihood is zero, so at the end of the day its some guy venting his disappointment and dissatisfaction and i agree 200 bucks in we should have a place to say our part. 'MMO' is marketing boloney, this certainly doesn't feel massive for the reasons you outline but how do they define, technically they a massive amount of people playing, just not together. They basically can't fix it at this point without MASSIVE redesign to the engine (which is very old and they forked development from official branch years ago). They're not going to do that because they're in 'stop the decline mode' and any sort of core re-write is quite frankly is too high of a risk and too much work. Incidentally the engine is also why the graphics are poor, they're forced to reduce the quality and number of textures down to wow standards. This i think they will improve but it will never be to the level we currently see in other games, its the same reason you wont see wow or doom2 with better graphics, you're trapped by the capabilities of your engine.
  15. I am trying to work on my sniper rotations (MM) and the dummy keeps ending and restarting combat between my abilities because the cast times are so long, particularly if you cast orbital strike followed by another channeled ability. So then when i try to have the logs analyzed they're broken up into lots of tiny fights, My suggestion is to increase the amount of time required between actions before leaving combat.
  16. I am using the Marksman 31/7/3 you posted, so here are some logs from today that you could look through, maybe there's something i am doing that could help you. http://www.torparse.com/a/20867/26 (1415 DPS overall on Jarg & Sorno Nightmare) And here's my character screen for reference http://postimage.org/image/6fietxkr9/ Note this is with full raid buffs and using adrenal/stim etc. When using MM, follow-through is your best ability so you want to watch its cool-down and make sure its used every time its ready, You can pre-enable follow-through (with snipe or ambush) while its still on cool-down so that its ready to use the moment the cool-down finishes. While you're waiting for follow-through you should use other abilities so that your energy doesn't ever hit max. Series of shots, explosive probe, orbital strike, only use snipe if you absolutely have to - like if the only other option is to stand there doing nothing then use snipe lol. Beyond the basics there its just tricks to fit more stuff in, and trying not to forget and miss out abilities, hell if you look closely at my logs there are lots of problems like forgetting to laze target but I'm learning to play better all the time. Try to use all your long cool-downs early in the fight so that they're up again before the fight finishes (or just used as many times as possible); it can be challenging to do this without pulling agro so make sure to use 'counter-measures' whenever you can. Plan ahead when you're going to pop adrenaline probe by being deliberately energy-abusive down to around 30% before you use it then continue normal rotation. Try to plan this for when the the new +50% energy regeneration buff is not active or you'll have a very hard time preventing energy from maxing out. Also, On the bridge deck of the Zoist shadow by the repair droid is a combat dummy, i believe it still has issues with avoidance but its a good place to practice.
  17. I don't think its worth the effort, leveling is easy on any class. Wait to 50 and get Red, Red, Red.
  18. I think you're making a mistake if you think its only kids who want things easy. I know many mid-30's that play who dont have a vast amount of time to play like a kid would, but when they do, they want to have fun rather than stupid grinds or complicated stat balancing, mastering perfect rotations etc.
  19. I thought she was kinda cool when i first met her but she get annoying fast. About the only thing i do like about her is that i don't lose affection rating by making the dark side choices that i like to make.
  20. I think there is great value for all players to PVP - it develops better awareness, decision making, using your abilities to maximum effect because it makes a world of different when you're up against real humans who have infinite ability to surprise you and adapt. Most people in operations/flash-points just get taught the mechanics then its predictable, its just following through on it without any tactics or critical thinking. Some people prefer playing against AI i get it, i am one of them but yeah...
  21. I thought it was annoying, 100 people standing at the spawn point in the fleet all day and night exploding each other so they can make some money seems a bit silly. Personally it lagged me out every time i tried to run past.
  22. Many people would go for champion and BM gear because it was a viable alternative way to get 56 and 58 mods/enhancements. In particular, there were a few items like champion gloves and helm which had the enhancements without accuracy. Now with the expertise and stat adjustments PVP gear is completely useless for PVE and so we lost a good portion of the players, these people didn't think PVP was particularly fun but stuck with it to reach their goals.
